My Arts Evolve When Perfected

Chapter 559: Spirit Vein Spectacle, the 3rd Avatar

The strongest among them had died right at the start. The remaining members of the Demon Race in the mining area were only at the Spirit Control Realm at best. Even with their many powerful Secret Techniques, they were nothing but cheap tricks in the face of Jiang Qiu’s group of four, completely outmatched.

And so, Jiang Qiu’s group of four effortlessly slaughtered all the members of the Celestial Wolf Race in the mining area. Even those who attempted to flee were cut down with ease, unable to react in time.

Only after the slaughter did Jiang Qiu realize the sheer scale of the mining operation. The pits were vast enough to swallow several large mountains. Moreover, the number of Great Demons at the Spirit Control Realm was substantial—dozens of them gathered in one place, originally led by an expert who was even above the Spirit Control Realm!

A lineup like this was, in fact, incredibly formidable. After all, a Spirit Control Realm expert was equivalent to a Dominator. For dozens of such Dominators to be concentrated in a single area without any infighting—based on Jiang Qiu’s current understanding of the world, he couldn’t imagine how any of the outer Demon Races could manage such a feat. Weren’t even the Great Demons of the Golden Eagle Race assigned their own separate territories?

This meant the strength gathered at this Celestial Wolf Race mining operation was immense. Any of the Great Dominators from the outer regions would be surrounded and killed if they came here. Had the Nine-tailed Fox arrived here back when she was still one of the Eight Great Dominators, she would have likely been killed instantly.

What’s more, the killing would have been effortless. For the feral Demon Race of the outer regions, the legacy of the Celestial Wolf Race represented an overwhelming advantage, like an attack from a higher dimension.

Given the circumstances, one could only imagine how profound the Celestial Wolf Race’s heritage was. After all, a single mining area could muster enough power to easily suppress the Eight Great Dominators of the outer regions. How could any of the outlying Demon Races possibly dare to venture here?

Thus, to the Demon Races of the periphery, this middle section of the Primitive Ancient Forest was a Restricted Area. In a sense, Celestial Wolf City was akin to a city of the Human Race, garrisoned by all sorts of powerful experts. The Demon Races of the outer regions, by comparison, were more like wild Demon Beasts, driven away to prevent them from disrupting the established order.

Jiang Qiu now understood that Celestial Wolf City was incredibly powerful. He had likely stirred up a hornet’s nest. His only question was whether the Celestial Wolf Race possessed some kind of bloodline-locking technique—a method where killing one of their own would mark the killer, triggering a relentless hunt by the entire race.

‘If they have a technique like that, it just goes to show that the Demon Race of this world isn’t as weak as I thought. My perspective was simply too narrow before.’

‘But there’s no need to be afraid. Even if we are hunted, as long as it’s not one of those so-called Super True Dominators, it won’t be much of a problem. And even if a Super True Dominator does make a move, it’s fine. They wouldn’t necessarily be able to wipe out all four of us.’

‘To be honest, with three of them at the Perfect Transformation Realm, and myself—a powerful Cultivator with the deepest foundation—having stepped into the realm above Spirit Control, we really don’t have to fear an expert from the realm above Transformation.’

Still, there was no need to provoke them deliberately. For now, Jiang Qiu hoped to enter the Celestial Wolf Race’s territory peacefully, purchase a few items, gather some information, and then make his way to Tai Lake in the north.

With that in mind, he stopped hesitating. He set off to find the Spirit Vein in the depths of the mine. One-tailed and Ah Xiong remained outside on guard while the Nine-tailed Fox went in with him.

Yes, the Nine-tailed Fox was going with him. Jiang Qiu believed a Spirit Vein was a rare, powerful tonic. It would not only benefit his own Cultivation but would also be immensely helpful for the Nine-tailed Fox in forging her third avatar. If she succeeded, she would have a solid chance of breaking through to the realm above the Transformation Realm!

Over the past five years of Cultivation, Jiang Qiu had figured out exactly what the Nine-tailed Fox was missing. With the help of the Spirit Vein, it was almost certain she could coalesce her third avatar.

Without another word, Jiang Qiu led the Nine-tailed Fox deeper into the mine. Some of the miners stared in a daze, not expecting a stranger like him to appear. Along the way, he casually one-shotted a few overseers of Celestial Wolf Race blood, instantly cowing the onlookers.

Jiang Qiu, however, had no interest in the miners and simply continued deeper. Before long, he navigated a few chokepoints, employed a few techniques, and then, with a resounding BOOM, shattered a barrier. They plummeted through a pitch-black opening and landed in a vast, hidden cavern!

Here, a blue fluorescent glow coated the stone walls, while motes of light, like fireflies, drifted through the air. One could only imagine how magnificent it was—it was as if the Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm itself had taken on color. The moment they entered, an incomparably pure stream of Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm filled their senses, the air thick with its essence.

“So this is a Spirit Vein. It really is something else,” Jiang Qiu sighed softly. “If I absorb this entire place dry, I’ll definitely advance by a huge margin!”

This was actually his first time seeing a Spirit Vein. He had seen the Dragon Vein of the Northern Boundary before, but it had been so depleted by then that it hardly counted.

But this Spirit Vein was different. It was in its prime, showing no signs of having been tapped. The mining operations on the surface were merely scratching an itch; they hadn’t caused any real damage to its core.

Therefore, if Jiang Qiu absorbed this entire, complete Spirit Vein, he could leap across several major cultivation levels. As for needing some kind of epiphany? He was someone re-cultivating from the Half-Step Unity Realm. How could he possibly lack comprehension of the realms?

To the Nine-tailed Fox and Ah Xiong, the gap between each High Realm might be an insurmountable chasm, but for him, it was like walking on level ground!
