"Levi, do you know what being a Dragon Knight means?"

Taking a sip of her tea, Fulina calmed down considerably. She sat upright in her chair and spoke in a slow, deliberate manner.

"That no one would dare mess with me?" Levi blinked.

After all, a Giant Dragon is a symbol of Power, the sovereign ruler of the skies. Unless someone had a screw loose, no one would deliberately provoke one.

"Levi, your Talent for commanding small-scale military battles is unparalleled, but when it comes to politics, you’re a complete mess. I really suggest you read *Pandar’s Chronicles*. It contains a lot of useful information for a Lord." Fulina put a hand to her forehead in exasperation. Sometimes she thought Levi was brilliant, and other times his foolishness gave her a headache.

"This means you’ve become the most famous person in this war. You’ll be known throughout Debei, and your fame might even spread across the Seven Kingdoms. Normally, being famous is just being famous..."

"The world has no shortage of people who become famous overnight, but of all things, you had to be a Dragon Knight—a role that has been gone for centuries."

Fulina spread her hands. "You’re drawing too much attention."

"And with a Giant Dragon involved, how many people across the Seven Kingdoms do you think are now on edge?"

Levi’s brow furrowed. He understood what Fulina was getting at.

To put it bluntly, a Dragon Knight was the equivalent of a nuclear weapon in his past life—a nation’s ultimate trump card, to be deployed only in the most critical moments.

But centuries ago, it was as if the Giant Dragons had all received some secret message. They abandoned their Dragon Knights and departed, and on that day, countless Dragon Knights cried their hearts out.

Ever since then, there have been no more Dragon Knights in the Seven Kingdoms. That’s why their replacement, the Two-legged Flying Dragon Knight, came into being.

This alone was proof of just how high the status of a Dragon Knight truly was.

And now, when the Seven Kingdoms have no Dragon Knights, one has suddenly appeared in Debei. This means Debei can now almost completely control the skies.

In any era, controlling the skies means seizing the initiative. That is something no other nation wants to see.

"I imagine any King who finds a Dragon Knight in his own kingdom wouldn’t just leave him be."

Levi was startled by Fulina’s words at first, but he quickly calmed down and said confidently.

"Just as you said, a Giant Dragon will naturally draw the hostility of other nations. But our own King will surely do everything in his power to win me over."

When that time comes, even if we’re in conflict with other countries, High Cliff Castle won’t be the one on the front lines.

"It seems you don’t know His Majesty Harland very well, Levi. The rumors may say he’s a drunkard who indulges in debauchery and neglects his duties." Fulina’s expression turned serious. "But at his core, he is an ambitious man. He may have spent the last few years amusing himself, but that does nothing to hide his true nature."

"And for an ambitious man—especially one whose health has been declining and whose temper has grown more erratic in recent years—it’s hard to say he wouldn’t do something outrageous that could shock the Seven Kingdoms."

"After all, a Giant Dragon’s purpose isn’t limited to fighting enemies..."

Fulina finished with a meaningful glance at Levi.

"I do know a little about that. He abandoned his beautiful Queen in a royal villa, built a Ten Thousand Flower Garden, and spent a fortune gathering the most stunning beauties from across the Seven Kingdoms." Levi nonchalantly wiped his mouth.

"..." Fulina fell silent for a moment. ’This Lord’s train of thought is sometimes more bizarre and unpredictable than the Storm Sea.’

She had no choice but to sigh and painstakingly explain, "Every Giant Dragon possesses a Dragon Crystal. It is the source of their being and contains unimaginable Power. And anyone who absorbs a Dragon Crystal will gain the dragon’s Power and its long life."

He could almost see his little coin purse growing fatter and fatter with every noble house he raided and wiped out.

But once you leave Vantika, even just a dozen or so miles out, barefoot farmers are everywhere, and you can even see the elderly and children starving to death by the roadside.

And yet, invariably, they all gaze toward Vantika’s location with faces full of pride.

It was a completely warped kind of kingdom.

Fulina’s expression twisted instantly. She almost shot to her feet, her chest heaving violently. It took her a long moment to catch her breath.
