"Not Cillian... tonight I’m Daniel, and you’re Red."
"W-what?!" Jade squeaked as his other hand glided down her flat stomach to caress her wet folds, making her bite her lower lip to hold back a loud moan.
A wicked smile curved his lips as he dragged his nose along her jawline up to her ear. "Yes... I have to admit, this Daniel has been bothering me. And since you gave me the name, I have to take responsibility to... own it, don’t I?"
Jade’s eyes nearly rolled back at the delicious rhythm of his touch.
When she failed to respond, Cillian gave her a firm smack right there, making her gasp at the sudden, incredible sting. "Oh, God!"
"Say it, Red... or I won’t give you what you so badly want from me." He bit her ear lightly before soothing the sting with his tongue, making Jade whimper.
"Yes... D-Daniel!"
"How obedient," Cillian praised before abruptly pulling his hands away from her.
Jade looked up at his reflection in confusion, only for Cillian to let out a low, sexy chuckle. "Bend for me, Red. It’s time Daniel rewards you."
With her mind already turned to putty, Jade placed her trembling hands on the cool surface of the table, keeping her eyes cast down, too shy to look at herself in the mirror.
She felt Cillian’s warm, broad frame hovering over her, his blunt tip brushing teasingly against her entrance. He stroked against her a few times without entering, driving her mad with frustration until she finally lifted her eyes to meet his reflection in the mirror.
Right as she did, Cillian gathered her fiery red hair in his fist and pulled it back until her chest arched upward. His other hand clamped tightly around her waist as he commanded, "Keep your eyes right here on us... or Daniel stops right now."
With that, he thrust himself fully into her in one deep stroke.
A sharp cry tore from Jade’s throat. "Oh, God... Daniel!" Her knuckles turned white against the wooden vanity as her body arched back against his broad chest.
Cillian let out a rough, guttural groan against her neck. "That’s it, Red. Keep screaming for me."
He drew back slowly before driving into her again, establishing a deep, punishing rhythm that made Jade moan the name over and over again.
Not once did he allow her to avert her eyes from the mirror as he claimed her. Yet, as fierce as his thrusts were, his hands remained gentle, caressing every inch of her skin while showering her with feverish kisses and praises, setting her completely ablaze.
As the two of them lost themselves to the night, completely hidden from the rest of the world, another bedroom in the mansion remained quiet, filled with a very different kind of tension.
At least for one of them.
Gavriel had to take multiple cold showers to calm himself, all because his beautiful, drunken wife had excited him with her naughty touches and disarming smile when he brought her back to their room, only to conveniently pass out before he could surrender to his desires.
With Aliana sleeping peacefully beside him, with her soft, alluring body pressed against his had become an exquisite form of torture that he eventually decided it was best to step away.
Having gone without sleep throughout the night, Gavriel stood on the balcony at five in the morning, dressed only in black pyjamas hanging low around his tapered waist. He quietly enjoyed the cool morning air, a cigarette between his fingers as he tried to calm himself.
As he looked out over the forest surrounding the estate, his mind wandered back to the night of the full moon. He still couldn’t quite believe that Aliana had seen him like that.
Not only had she withstood the sheer force of his powers, which had evaporated powerful demons before, but she had also broken through his barrier... not once, but twice.
It made him realize just how powerful she truly was, making him wonder what rank her soul had held in the underworld to accomplish such impossible feats.
His wife’s origin was a complete mystery to him, but now, more than ever, he wanted to dig into the past and discover just what kind of soul was capable of all this.
Bellarios had also gone silent after the full moon night, making him wonder if it was Aliana’s blood that had put him to sleep like this. If it was, Gavriel wouldn’t find it surprising anymore, since her scent alone was enough to work wonders.
He looked up at the dark sky and remembered Aliana’s tearful face, her eyes filled with complete shock and heartbreak when she had found him in the dungeon. He had never wanted her, of all people, to see him in such a state.
Yet... instead of fearing him or running away from the monster he truly was, she had come running right toward him.
The words she had uttered to him in the study, along with her complete surrender and acceptance of him, had shaken something deep within his soul.
’I am your wife, Gavriel... and you are my better half. For better or worse, we are in this together, remember? Your pain and your burdens are mine as well. If you are fallen, then so am I... if you are damned, so am I. I will share every title you give yourself.’
She was truly the most incredible woman he had ever come across, and he found himself asking what he had ever done to get so... lucky.
Lucky? A devil like him?
’Looks like miracles do happen...’ Gavriel whispered in his mind.
But even as he felt immense gratitude to the universe for bringing Aliana into his life, he also felt anxious... terrified that something or someone would take this miracle away from him.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to push those negative thoughts aside, before stubbing out his cigarette and making his way back to the bed.
Slowly, he slipped beneath the covers before turning his head to the side when he felt a slight movement.
And there she was... gazing at him through sleep-clouded eyes as she shuffled closer, wrapping an arm around his torso.
Her brows knit together at the chill radiating from his skin. "You’re freezing... Were you out on the balcony?"
Gavriel turned onto his side to face her, his voice soft. "Why are you awake?"
Aliana studied his face in the dark. "I just woke up... when I realised you weren’t beside me."
"Did I wake you?" Gavriel asked softly, his arm sliding naturally around her waist to draw her flush against him.
She lightly shook her head. "I’m not sure... I just felt your absence in my sleep." When Gavriel continued to look at her in quiet awe, she added, "It’s like... I’ve started to feel your presence much more strongly than before."
"Have you?" Gavriel asked, genuine curiosity in his tone. "Since when?"
Aliana let out a faint, drowsy sigh. "I don’t know... recently." She paused, searching his eyes. "Couldn’t sleep?"
"Not after someone teased me so mercilessly before passing out," Gavriel replied, a subtle smile touching his lips.
Aliana blinked up at him, staring innocently in the dark until Gavriel let out a low sigh and gently tucked her face against the side of his neck. "Go back to sleep, Ana, if you don’t want trouble. I’m barely holding back."
That was when Aliana finally understood what he meant, upon feeling something hard pressed against her stomach.
Her hand, resting against his bare waist, slid lower until her fingers hooked onto his waistband.
