Chapter 508 319: One Punch
In a pavilion on the back mountain of Enlightenment Peak.
A gentle breeze rustled, and the fragrance of tea drifted through the air.
Venerable Ye Qin and Venerable Xingxuan were already waiting there.
A spatial rift opened silently, and Li Wen stepped out.
"Senior Brother Ye, Senior Sister Xingxuan!" Li Wen said with a smile, cupping his hands in greeting.
"Junior Brother Li!" Ye Qin and Xingxuan stood up simultaneously to greet him, their faces filled with undisguised joy.
Xingxuan even took the initiative to push the already-brewed Spirit Tea in front of him.
The three of them sat down.
Ye Qin and Xingxuan sized up Li Wen carefully, growing more shocked the longer they looked.
In just two years, the aura of this junior brother before them had become even more unfathomable, like a boundless, starry abyss.
When they probed him with their divine sense, it vanished without a trace, completely unable to gauge his depths.
Instead, it was gently brushed aside by a gentle yet boundless Wish Power.
He was several times stronger than when he had left two years ago!
"Junior Brother... you..." Ye Qin couldn't help but speak, his tone a mixture of shock and inquiry.
Li Wen picked up his teacup, took a light sip, and said calmly, "I was lucky enough to have a breakthrough. I am now a Tier One Primordial Spirit Star Lord."
PFFT!
Ye Qin almost spat out the tea he had just sipped. Xingxuan's eyes went wide, and she nearly lost her grip on her teacup.
"Pri... Primordial Spirit Star Lord?!" the two of them exclaimed, their voices cracking in disbelief.
In just two short years! He went from the Peak of Saint Realm to a Star Lord.
Back in his day, Ancestral Master Chang Jia had to reach the level of a Tier Five Star Lord before his Primordial Spirit barely managed to break through to the Star Lord Level.
Li Wen's speed of advancement simply shattered the limits of their comprehension!
After the initial shock, the two quickly calmed down.
Connecting his sudden return with the calmness of his words, the same thought flashed through both their minds.
"Junior Brother, have you returned this time to... leave behind a guardian?" Ye Qin asked tentatively, his voice filled with hope.
"Precisely." Li Wen nodded, confirming their suspicion. "I will leave a Wish Power clone here to guard Blue Star. My main body must still depart."
"Wonderful! That's wonderful!" Xingxuan shot to her feet, slapping the table in her excitement. "With your clone, a Primordial Spirit Star Lord, standing guard, Blue Star will finally be as solid as a rock!"
Ye Qin also let out a long sigh, a relieved smile spreading across his face. A great weight had finally been lifted from his heart.
The three spoke for a while longer, with Li Wen sharing some of what he had seen and heard in the Moluo Empire and at the Source Net base.
Ye Qin and Xingxuan, in turn, described Blue Star's recent progress and overall development. The atmosphere was harmonious and filled with hope.
Afterward, Li Wen took out a large number of consciousness helmets from his storage space.
These were the anonymous helmets used for entering the Virtual Cosmos.
Li Wen had already activated a hundred years of access for each one.
Li Wen then began to explain, and both Ye Qin and Xingxuan were overjoyed to hear his words.
...
「Meanwhile, inside the Starship.」
Leo Lieyang leaned back in his command chair, bored, his fingers drumming unconsciously on the armrest.
His gaze swept over the Star Map on the Starship's main control screen. The Star Domain that should have represented Blue Star and its surroundings was just an unlit, black void.
"Hm?" Leo's thick brows rose. "Is this region not cataloged in the star map database? Or is some unknown field blocking our sensors?"
He instinctively sensed that something was amiss.
"Little Fatty, activate deep scan mode. Focus on this unidentified region," he ordered the console in a low voice.
"Right away, Sir Leo! Initiating deep space scan... focusing energy..."
The image of a chubby, endearingly naive virtual boy appeared on the screen, responding cheerfully in a childish voice.
The image on the screen switched, and complex scanning waves began to emanate from Blue Star's position, spreading out in all directions.
「A dozen or so minutes later.」
VMMMM!
On the main control screen, the previously pitch-black region suddenly lit up!
A spherical region of space, tens of light-years in diameter, became clearly visible. Its internal structure, stellar distribution, and energy reaction levels were all marked in detail.
Evidently, an extremely sophisticated cloaking field had been in place, but now it had nowhere to hide from the Source Net Starship's powerful scan.
Leo Lieyang stared at the newly illuminated region, his gaze growing profound.
"Little Fatty, screen this newly scanned region for any active biological signals or abnormal energy clusters that could currently threaten a Tier One Star Lord-level target, especially in the direction of the target planet (Blue Star)."
"Understood! Threat assessment scan initiated... cross-referencing database..." Little Fatty's image flickered with streams of light as it processed the data.
This time, the results came back quickly:
"Warning! High energy reading detected! At star coordinate (**,**), an unidentified object has been detected, an irregular, eye-shaped meteorite.
Energy Fluctuation Level Assessment: Continuously climbing, peaking and stabilizing at... Tier Four Star Lord level!
Trajectory Analysis: Approaching star marker (Blue Star) in a high-speed, direct line!
Estimated Time of Arrival: At current velocity, will reach the vicinity of Blue Star's orbit in approximately six months!"
"A Tier Four Star Lord-level monster?"
Leo Lieyang's brow twitched as he spoke with a hint of surprise.
"Shall I immediately activate the 'Star Destroyer VII' main cannon for a beyond-visual-range saturation bombardment? Guaranteed to vaporize it completely!"
Little Fatty spoke the most terrifying words in the most innocent of tones.
"Not yet." Leo decisively refused, the corner of his mouth curling into a knowing smirk. "It's better to have a witness."
Having struggled for many years outside the Source Net, he understood one thing very well.
'Silently solving a problem is one's duty, but solving it in front of others—especially the beneficiaries—is far more effective.'
'Only then can you make the favor truly count.'
He casually closed the flashing warning screen as if nothing had happened, then closed his eyes to rest, waiting patiently.
