Before Adam could open the MVP chest, silvery scales fluttered down from above, stopping him in his tracks.
A moment later, Luvicidix alighted on the ground behind him.
“Are you okay?” was the first thing she asked.
“Do you have new upgrades?” Adam responded, ignoring the question.
Luvicidix gave him a worried look.
“I do,” she said, her voice almost sombre. “Are you sure you’re okay, Adam?”
“I’m fine,” he said with a sigh.
“You don’t look fine. You look haunted.”
“The Flayed Lady really tested me this time around,” he admitted.
