Upon hearing Toshiro's words, the black cat, which had been strolling leisurely forward with feline grace, froze in its tracks. It then turned around to face Toshiro.

"Ara, exposed already? Truly worthy of being the Vice-Captain Commander of the Gotei 13."

The black cat said in a hoarse male voice.

"Yoruichi Shihoin, known as the [Goddess of Flash], former Captain of the 2nd Division, and former Leader of the Onmitsukido. I've heard much about you."

Toshiro smiled.

"How did you recognize me? We shouldn't have met before this."

Yoruichi asked curiously.

"Guess."

Toshiro showed a playful expression.

"Well, if you don't want to say, forget it."

Yoruichi didn't press further.

Although she had left the Soul Society over a hundred years ago, many within the Soul Society still knew of her, and some were aware she could transform into a black cat. It was possible Toshiro had heard about her from someone familiar with her.

"Captain Hitsugaya, why have you sought me out?"

Yoruichi asked.

"Ah, not really. I wasn't specifically looking for you. When you broke through the Shakonmaku, you split into four parts. I just randomly chose a direction to pursue and happened to encounter you. That's all."

Toshiro explained casually.

"Is that so?"

Yoruichi said noncommittally.

"Then why did you stop me? You're not here to capture me, are you?"

Yoruichi said, seemingly casual.

However, her golden feline eyes were extremely vigilant, fixed on Toshiro. If Toshiro made any unusual moves, Yoruichi would react immediately.

Then, as the smoke cleared, a young woman with long purple hair and brown skin appeared before Toshiro.

Toshiro stared at the suddenly human-shaped Yoruichi, stunned.

Yoruichi said proudly.
