Marvel: God-Tier Talent—Infinite Critical Strikes!

Chapter 343 - 343: It’s Too Soon to Give Up!

"My god! These difficulties are only temporary!"

"As long as we hold everything together, things won't become any worse than we expect!"

Dotilt looked at him pleadingly, desperately hoping her god would regain his resolve.

But how could something like that be so easy?

Everything ahead would only become more difficult than they had imagined.

"That's easy for you to say."

"But the entire base has been destroyed."

"Nothing is as simple as we expected."

"Could this be some kind of punishment from fate?"

A trace of helplessness appeared in Tothwanwell's eyes.

The moment Dotilt heard those words, she hurriedly dropped to one knee, her expression filled with devotion.

If even Tothwanwell started speaking so hopelessly, what were all the people beneath him supposed to do?

"My god, please pull yourself together!"

"Everything depends on you!"

"You absolutely cannot give up!"

"You can't say such discouraging things!"

"If our people hear you speaking like this, what are they supposed to think?"

"You have to hold on!"

Shock and urgency filled her eyes.

Tothwanwell looked at Dotilt kneeling before him.

She still believed wholeheartedly in their ultimate objective.

Yet the resentment in his heart remained impossible to suppress.

"Don't let Karl appear in front of me again!"

"He dared use the Phoenix Force to reduce this place to ruins."

"I will never let him off so easily!"

"I want to see just how much power he actually has!"

"If he has the ability, then let him use every last bit of it!"

"I want to see which of us is truly stronger!"

Dotilt immediately noticed the anger in his voice.

As long as he could still feel anger, he still had motivation.

And as long as he had motivation, there was still a chance for them to accomplish their ultimate objective!

"As long as we're willing to bring him down, it's still not too late."

"It only depends on whether you're willing to act personally."

"Last time, we weren't prepared."

"This time, we'll prepare an inescapable trap."

"If Karl appears again, we'll tear him apart!"

Tothwanwell had already begun forming a concrete plan.

He immediately ordered his subordinates to make the necessary preparations.

Then he slowly stood and gently helped Dotilt back to her feet.

Seeing the loyalty on her face, he knew he hadn't been wrong to trust her.

"Ultron's temperament has become increasingly unpredictable lately."

"His behavior is becoming intolerable."

"He was never truly on our side, so there's no need to accommodate him so much."

"If he dares disrespect you again, teach him a lesson."

"He may be our partner, but that doesn't mean we have to tolerate everything he does!"

"Karl came here and caused all this destruction, yet Ultron didn't lift a finger to stop him."

"And now he barely even mentions his own ultimate objective!"

"He has no conviction at all."

"He doesn't deserve to stand beside us."

Hearing her god openly support her made Dotilt feel a surge of excitement.

"My god, with your power, everything will improve!"

"Please sit here and rest."

"My people will restore the base as quickly as possible."

"Our entire race looks to you as their source of faith."

"You have to regain your resolve."

Tothwanwell's gaze became distant.

He didn't know whether everything that had happened was a punishment or some kind of test.

It all felt strangely unreal.

"They may have destroyed our base, but as long as we remain, as long as the Skrulls remain, we can rebuild everything!"

A layer of dark red and black smoke still hung throughout the interior of the base.

It was the aftermath left behind by the destroyed machinery.

Dust filled the air.

Tothwanwell suddenly tossed out a small sphere.

The device functioned like an extremely powerful air purifier.

In an instant, it filtered the surrounding air clean.

"What a waste."

"This dust isn't merely evidence of our defeat."

"It represents years of work that those damn people destroyed in a single operation!"

Tothwanwell would remember this grudge.

No matter where he ended up in the future, he would avenge this humiliation.

He would make Karl pay dearly for what he had done!

"Just look at this place."

"This is humiliating!"

Hatred burned even more intensely in Tothwanwell's eyes.

Dotilt finally breathed a little easier after seeing her leader regain some of his fighting spirit.

Ultron, meanwhile, had remained silent for a long time.

"Whatever Ultron wants to do, leave him alone."

"Don't interfere with him."

"Just focus on taking care of our own affairs."

"He's far too arrogant."

"There are some matters where we absolutely cannot continue giving way to him."

Since Tothwanwell had already said as much, Dotilt had no reason to make any other arrangements.

Even so, she still felt deeply dissatisfied.

Someone like Ultron simply didn't deserve to stand alongside them!

"We're only cooperating with him for now."

"Once our objective is accomplished, he won't deserve to remain beside us."

Tothwanwell seemed to see straight through her thoughts.

The moment Dotilt heard that, a satisfied smile appeared on her face.

"He's far too arrogant!"

"If he hadn't stubbornly insisted on fighting Eric O'Grady one-on-one during the last operation, we might already have succeeded!"

"Karl really is powerful."

"He cast a single spell, and no matter how many times we attacked it, we couldn't break through."

"We even used so many advanced weapons, and none of them worked."

Tothwanwell swept his cloak aside.

"Tell me exactly what happened during the entire battle."

"We need to identify the weaknesses and focus on breaking through them."

"We have to learn from this failure and make sure we don't suffer the same losses again."

Meanwhile, Karl and Iron Man had already finished preparing for another assault.

Eric O'Grady had now been placed on the Skrulls' wanted list.

If he was spotted, the order was simple:

Kill him on sight!

There was no need to bring him back or even report first.

Tothwanwell probably had no idea that Eric O'Grady was already on his way back toward their base.

And Eric himself had never imagined that one day he would end up on a wanted list.

"Every single time, I'm the poor sucker you drag along for this kind of thing."

"I seriously don't know what I did to deserve you people."

Eric complained nonstop as they traveled.

Iron Man could only shrug helplessly.

"You usually act so capable."

"Why are you always complaining?"

"We know you've contributed a lot this time."

"No one is going to forget everything you've done."

Iron Man gave him a faint smile.

The words sounded nice enough.

But Eric couldn't see what good it did him if everyone remembered his contributions after he was dead.

"I only ask one thing."

"If I die, at least make sure my body gets a decent burial."

"Right now, the moment those people see me, they're going to try to kill me!"

"And yet you still insist on sending me straight into danger."

"What great friends you are."

They were already approaching the Skrull base.

Only a few kilometers remained between them and their destination.

With a little more effort, they could reach it almost immediately.

For the moment, however, the group stopped where they were.
