Marvel: God-Tier Talent—Infinite Critical Strikes!

Chapter 199 - 199: That Is Not How Time Is Used!

Four beings whose names were renowned even across the Multiverse surrounded Karl directly.

Yet there was not the slightest trace of fear on Karl's face.

Instead, he was carefully observing these four.

He wanted to see whether he could discern their actual strength.

"Chthon, Mephisto."

"I can hardly hold back from torturing his soul."

"His soul can go to you, but you have to let us take our turn first. Only then can we vent the hatred in our hearts."

Krakkan spoke hatefully.

They had already been beaten by Atum, so their mood had been extremely foul to begin with.

And now Karl had actually dared to provoke him.

This was practically begging for death.

Chthon, however, remained unmoved.

"No hurry. Let him live a little longer first."

"I imagine you must be full of questions, yes?"

Chthon spoke with a smile, pretending to be extremely generous. He did not look like a god of black magic at all. Instead, there was even a faint air of casual amusement about him.

"I am indeed very confused."

"Chthon, I don't think I have ever provoked you, have I?"

"Why did you bring people here to make trouble for me?"

Karl asked curiously.

He truly had never provoked Chthon.

What was this guy after?

Hearing this, Chthon immediately laughed.

"The Sorcerer Supreme of this generation is actually this naive."

"I came for you simply because your soul is useful to me."

"Hatred?"

"Only madmen trouble themselves over such meaningless things."

Chthon sneered.

Hearing this, Karl merely shook his head.

The gods of this world truly devoured people.

The only difference was the way they did it.

Some devoured people openly. Some insisted on dressing it up with other excuses. In truth, they were all the same breed.

Karl calmly glanced around.

He saw the area below that was shrouded in gray mist.

"So this should be our outpost."

Karl's heart settled.

Since he had found the location, things were no longer troublesome.

Karl looked at Chthon, shook his head, and said,

"Sorry, Chthon."

"I have no intention of becoming fuel for your evolution."

"You want my soul? Keep dreaming, fool."

Karl waved his hand.

More than a hundred magical shields appeared around him.

"That is not up to you."

"Do you think I don't know why you've been talking to me for so long?"

"You will know very soon."

A cruel smile appeared on Chthon's face.

Across the surrounding gray halos, countless black patterns began to flicker.

Karl felt pressure pressing down on his body.

Sensing this fluctuation, Karl smiled.

"Then aren't you curious why I've been wasting words with you for so long?"

"You will know very soon too."

Karl bared his teeth in a bright grin, revealing eight teeth.

The next moment, more than a hundred magical shields flew out in every direction.

Boom!

The hundred-plus magical shields exploded directly, and a vast amount of white divine power surged outward.

Even gods like Chthon could not simply ignore divine power of such a sacred nature.

They had no choice but to defend themselves.

This was precisely the opportunity Karl had been waiting for.

His figure flashed.

He appeared directly above the gray mist.

After sensing that the sorcerers inside still had signs of life, Karl let out a breath of relief.

With a wave of his hand, the land covered by the gray mist was directly pierced open by his divine power and psychic perception.

The sorcerers inside were naturally taken into his internal universe as well.

At that moment, the terrifying white energy that had spread outward slowly began to dissipate.

The figures of Chthon and the other three gradually emerged. Their expressions were wary, but there were no injuries on their bodies.

There was not even half a wrinkle on Chthon's clothes.

"Brat, don't tell me you thought you could defeat us with a trick like that?"

Chthon said disdainfully.

Karl only smiled without speaking.

Mephisto's expression changed.

Hearing this, the others looked over.

Sure enough, the place Mephisto had sealed with dark magic was already gone.

Only a pit several meters deep remained. Even the ground itself had been taken away by Karl.

The corner of Chthon's mouth twitched almost imperceptibly.

What kind of opponent was this guy?

Chthon sighed inwardly, but his face did not reveal the slightest hint of it.

"So what?"

"He is trapped inside the spell array. What does it matter if those people were rescued?"

"Can he possibly escape from the palm of our hands?"

Chthon sneered.

Why had he dragged things out for so long?

Was it not to fully activate this spell array?

Right now, Karl had no route out.

No one could leave this place now.

Even the four of them could not think of getting out of here.

"That may not be true."

A brilliant smile appeared on Karl's face.

At the same time, a faint light appeared around him.

Pale-green magical patterns flowed around his body.

"Ridiculous. Do you think I would not have prepared for this?"

"The entire Multiverse knows that Kamar-Taj controls the Eye of Agamotto."

"How could I possibly not guard against you people?"

"Even the Infinity Stones have limits."

"You want to leave? Impossible."

Chthon sneered.

What a joke.

To kill Karl, he had prepared for so long and paid an enormous price.

And this guy wanted to escape by relying on three Infinity Stones that did not belong to this universe?

Laughable!

Even if the Infinity Stones of the Main Universe were brought here, Chthon would at most be somewhat wary.

Chthon's face was full of cold laughter. He wanted to watch Karl make a fool of himself.

But he never expected Karl's face to reveal an equally brilliant smile.

"Who told you I was using the Time Stone?"

"Chthon, you have fallen behind."

"That is not how time is used!"

As he spoke, Karl's figure actually began to turn illusory, as if he were about to dissipate directly.

Chthon's expression instantly darkened.

A storm surged through his heart.

Impossible!

How was this possible?

How could he vanish inside this array?

His spell array had sealed off all powers.

Whether it was time or space, leaving this place should have been completely impossible.

Unless they took the initiative to release the spell array.

And yet, right in front of them, Karl had vanished so lightly, so casually?

This was far too strange.

Without hesitation, Chthon attacked directly.

A wave of dark magic smashed toward Karl.

But that dark magic passed straight through Karl's figure and disappeared.

"Stop wasting your strength. Your killing blow has nowhere to land."

"This is only a shadow left on the timeline."

"Before I leave, I'll give you a gift. I prepared it for a very long time."

Karl smiled brilliantly.

He waved at the four of them, and his figure vanished.

All four of them were about to explode with rage.

But before they could pursue him, something at the place where Karl had disappeared began to grow larger and larger.

A landmass appeared there.

The spell array on it operated wildly.

Boom!
