Sighing, I flip her back onto me.

"So, are we getting our marriage certificate in Luladel or here?" I ask.

"These are herbal medicines I brewed myself. They’ll help restore spent energy and also benefit the baby," Tiriana says, causing Aleena’s ears to turn pink at her mother’s words.

She quietly drinks the contents without saying anything.

I, on the other hand, find the liquid in my cup somewhat repulsive. It’s different from whatever is in Aleena’s. Squeezing my face together, I gulp it down in one shot.
