Chapter 500 - 321: Exchange Competition Venue, Choose One of Three; Blood Ranch, Inner Earth World, Knight Continent
Meanwhile, a conflict had broken out between students from different federations in the student cafeteria. Although it hadn’t escalated to a physical fight, the monitoring system inside the Xuanwu-III Type Integrated Warship had long been alerted by the earlier verbal clash and the Divine Suppression first unleashed by Elias, the Candidate Saint Child from the White Eagle Federation’s Church of Light.
After the monitoring system raised an alarm, the officers on the warship sent messages to the lead instructors of each region. Upon receiving and reading the messages, they all hurried to the student cafeteria.
However, upon arriving at the cafeteria entrance and sensing other figures also moving quickly, they all tacitly stopped, choosing not to enter directly.
Chief Instructor Yang from the Yanhuang Federation was still dressed in his black combat uniform. He released his Divine Thought to probe the situation inside. Sensing it was just an argument that had not yet escalated to blows, he relaxed slightly, crossed his arms, and looked at the other instructors present.
The lead instructor from the White Eagle Federation was a handsome, middle-aged man in a white military uniform, his shoulder bearing a white eagle insignia that indicated his rank of major general. Compared to Chief Instructor Yang, his expression was rather grim, clearly displeased with his student Elias’s actions.
The lead instructor from the Giant Bear Federation was a bald, fierce-looking man in a thick military greatcoat. He also sent his Spiritual Power into the cafeteria for a sweep. Upon its return, his eyes darted between Chief Instructor Yang of the Yanhuang Federation and Instructor Brian of the White Eagle Federation as he stroked his chin with great interest.
The lead instructor from the Holy Roman Federation, a man wearing gold-rimmed glasses and a tailcoat, looked like a sophisticated gentleman. He, too, sent his Spiritual Power on a circuit through the cafeteria before it returned.
The last to arrive was Instructor Anade from the Third World Federation. She was a quiet woman with a somber expression and dark skin, dressed in a combat uniform.
The five instructors communicated via Spiritual Power, lightly encrypting their conversation.
Instructor Brian, the lead instructor from the White Eagle Federation, was the first to speak, his tone unfriendly, "Instructor Yang, the students you’ve cultivated in the Yanhuang Federation are certainly something else."
"So young, yet with such a fiery temper! You ought to watch them more carefully in the future."
Chief Instructor Yang from the Yanhuang Federation replied in a level tone, "You flatter me, Instructor Brian!"
"It’s just a normal interaction between students. You said it yourself—they’re young. If young people don’t have a bit of a temper, would that even be normal?! Besides, did your student from the White Eagle Federation learn that trick of making false counter-accusations from you? Otherwise, how could he be such a carbon copy of you? It can’t be that you learned it from him, can it?"
Instructor Brian’s expression darkened further. "You..."
Before he could finish, he was interrupted by the instructor from the Giant Bear Federation.
Instructor Ivan San said, "Alright, stop arguing! It’s perfectly normal for eighteen or nineteen-year-old students to be noisy and quarrelsome, isn’t it? The way I see it, the Yanhuang Federation’s student isn’t in the wrong. The one at fault is your student from the White Eagle Alliance. Just like that young fellow who stood up said, being so arrogant, isn’t he afraid of getting beaten up?"
Instructor Williams from the Holy Roman Federation added slowly and deliberately, "The student from the White Eagle Federation is not gentlemanly enough, not elegant enough. If you ask me, the cause of this incident is already quite clear."
As for Instructor Anade from the Third World Federation, she just gave a brief "Mm" to show she was listening and offered no further opinion.
Hearing that the lead instructors from the other two federations were not on his side, Instructor Brian from the White Eagle Federation took a deep breath to suppress his anger. He then said coldly, "In the third round of the University Alliance Training Camp’s exchange competition, strength is what ultimately does the talking. As long as you have strength, what does a little arrogance matter?"
But Chief Instructor Yang, who had great confidence in Zhang Yi, simply replied, "We’ll wait and see."
The lead instructors from the different federations remained outside the student cafeteria, using only their Spiritual Power to monitor the situation inside and wait for further developments.
However, they soon sensed Zhang Yi step forward to stop Elias. The pressure from the Divine Power Elias released was neutralized by the pressure from Zhang Yi’s own. After a subsequent war of words, Elias, the Candidate Saint Child from the White Eagle Federation, was left thoroughly humiliated, and the expressions on the faces of the lead instructors grew varied.
The corners of Chief Instructor Yang’s mouth couldn’t help but curl up.
Instructor Brian’s face was ashen as he turned and walked away. He would probably have to "tutor" Elias a bit when he got back.
Instructor Ivan San just chuckled.
Afterward, Instructor Williams from the Holy Roman Federation and Instructor Anade from the Third World Federation also turned and left. However, they all gave some extra thought to this student, Zhang Yi, who had not only escalated the cafeteria conflict but had also been the one to end it.
Evidently, Zhang Yi’s appearance had changed the lead instructors’ views on who might become the final champion of this year’s University Alliance Training Camp.
