...
A middle-aged driver wearing a black uniform stepped out from the front seat. After approaching Zich, he bowed slightly.
"Mr. Zich. Under Miss Helen’s and the Players Association’s arrangements, I am here to take you to Silvermoon Court."
Zich nodded. Just as he was about to enter the vehicle, Slimy rapidly jumped over from behind and landed steadily on his shoulder.
"Bo!"
The driver glanced at Slimy, but the professional smile on his face did not change in the slightest.
"Miss Helen has already informed us that your summon may accompany you."
Slimy immediately began swaying happily.
Zich turned toward his parents.
"I’m leaving."
Lorraine waved. "Go ahead."
Leon raised his head and looked at the flying car, which appeared to be worth more than their entire house.
Unable to stop himself, he asked, "Would we have to compensate them if you break the seat?"
The driver’s expression stiffened slightly.
Zich did not answer. He simply entered the vehicle.
The door closed. The next moment, the deep-green flying car silently rose into the air, leaving behind a gentle green trail above the cemetery as it flew toward Stoneheart City’s most prosperous area.
The interior was even more spacious than it appeared from the outside.
The soft seats were made from some kind of magical beast leather that released a faint fragrance. The surrounding windows could freely adjust their transparency according to the passenger’s preference, while various fruits and drinks had been arranged on the small table in the center.
Zich sat beside the window and calmly looked out over the city.
As the flying car gradually approached the Central District, the buildings below grew taller and taller. Dense lamps stretched through the city like rivers made from radiance, crossing and intersecting in every direction.
Many buildings even floated directly in midair, fixed at different heights by enormous spatial stabilization devices.
The closer they came to the city center, the more flying vehicles appeared around them.
However, whenever the other vehicles noticed the emblems of both the Green Group and Players Association, nearly all of them took the initiative to move aside.
Less than half an hour later, a silver-white building situated in the highest section of the Central District gradually appeared within Zich’s vision.
Its outer walls appeared to have been condensed from moonlight itself, without any visible seams. Above the structure floated an enormous silver crescent moon.
Beneath the crescent, three elegant characters emitted a gentle radiance.
Silvermoon Court.
The flying car slowly stopped in front of Silvermoon Court’s main entrance.
The moment the door opened, the restaurant attendants who had already been waiting on both sides bowed simultaneously.
"Welcome to Silvermoon Court."
Zich stepped out of the car.
He had not paid much attention to what kind of reaction his arrival might cause.
It was only when his feet truly stepped onto the silver staircase leading into the restaurant that the surrounding conversations began to fade at an extremely noticeable speed.
Almost no one capable of dining at Silvermoon Court was ordinary.
There were heirs to major companies , important members of player families, and powerhouses who had recently returned from higher regions of the Mountain of Ascension.
These people were already accustomed to seeing so-called important figures.
However When the silver white-haired youth stepped out of a flying car bearing the emblems of both the Green Group and Players Association, many people recognized him immediately.
"That person..."
"The white hair. That’s him, isn’t it?"
"Zich Grave."
"The champion of the Chosen Tournament?"
"There’s no mistake. I watched the finals myself."
"He looks even younger in person than he did in the tournament projection."
"I heard he’s only sixteen."
"At sixteen, he defeated two Nullborn and even overcame Lucien Vilhart head-on during the semifinals..."
"Is that Slimy beside him?"
The deliberately lowered discussions still inevitably entered Zich’s ears from every direction.
Zich did not stop walking. He did not show discomfort at suddenly becoming the center of attention, nor did he deliberately raise his posture because of his status as champion.
He simply walked steadily up the silver staircase. His long black coat shifted gently with his movements. Under the moonlight lamps lining both sides of the stairs, his tall and slender figure appeared particularly distinct.
His pale-golden eyes remained calmly fixed ahead, as though the increasingly concentrated gazes surrounding him could not affect him in the slightest.
The guests who had initially watched him purely out of curiosity gradually grew quiet.
They suddenly realized that outside the tournament, this young man seemed even more striking than he did in the projections.
It was not because he was deliberately releasing his aura.
Quite the opposite.
There were no obvious energy fluctuations around Zich. Even his footsteps were extremely light.
Yet it was precisely that calmness, one completely inconsistent with his age, that caused the atmosphere around him to change naturally with every step he took into Silvermoon Court.
"He doesn’t look like this is his first time here."
"How could someone from a place like that have ever seen this kind of scene?"
"That’s what makes it even more terrifying."
"He doesn’t care at all."
A young woman watched Zich’s back and lowered her voice.
"Is that the bearing of a champion?"
Zich naturally heard their words.
However, his expression did not change.
At that moment, he was considering something far more important.
’The food here should be expensive. Helen said she was paying. In that case, Slimy had better not eat too much.’
Slimy, who was resting on his shoulder, seemed to sense something and suddenly trembled.
"Bo?"
Zich ignored it.
The restaurant manager personally approached him.
She was a middle-aged woman wearing a silver formal dress. She had clearly been informed of Zich’s identity beforehand.
Her attitude was extremely respectful, yet she maintained a perfectly appropriate distance.
"Mr. Zich, your friends are already waiting in the Moon Lake section."
"Please follow me."
Zich followed her through the hall.
There were not many dining tables inside Silvermoon Court.
The entire restaurant had been divided into dozens of independent regions using spatial barriers, with every area possessing a completely different environment.
Some had been built beneath artificial starry skies.
Others were surrounded by genuine magical gardens.
Zich even saw a miniature snow mountain enclosed within a compressed space. Several guests sat inside a warm transparent room, dining while watching the snow continuously fall outside.
Eventually, the restaurant manager stopped outside a region surrounded by a crystal-clear lake.
