The First Prince invoked the Underworld mark while Vella still held the child’s wrist. Black ownership grammar ignited beneath the soul membrane, and every extraction needle pulled outward.
The needles tried to deliver the demonic core through the boundary route opened during Didi’s earlier test. The child’s body arched against the inner floor before her twelfth count could begin.
"Claim active," Cessy said through the protected mirror, "name her now or the Collector route receives the core."
Didi placed her bare palm against the prison seal while every assigned support remained intact. Her blood entered the royal channel instead of the child’s circulation.
Three Shards rotated behind her as Didi directed Crowned Frost through the exact sentence Cessy had taught her and said toward the ownership mark, "This person is protected from collection, assignment, and transfer."
Didi continued, "I reject the claim without receiving it, while accepting the original authority’s answer against my own standing."
The Underworld command struck back under the team’s continuing observation. Cessy identified three layered penalties inside the answer within the limits they had verified.
The first attacked Didi’s right to speak for royal blood. The second attempted to transfer the child into her personal lineage, while the third threatened collection of both lives if she persisted.
Didi froze each clause separately so refusing one could not make her accept another. Black pressure entered her palm and tore through the first Shard.
She kept the sentence attached to herself instead of allowing its retaliation to cross into the child. Frost turned silver-gold around her wrist, freezing the command where it touched living blood.
The First Prince fed royal authority through the stolen foundation key and said from the gallery, "You cannot deny a birth claim with an inherited trace you refuse to serve, because royal blood exists to assign weaker blood."
"Then mine has learned another use," Didi replied, pressing harder against the seal.
The second retaliation passed through all three Shards as her knees struck the floor, yet her palm remained on the prison.
Hajin moved beside her without adding his own blood to the command and said, "Release before it breaks your core," while letting her choose rather than ordering retreat.
"If I release now, it enters hers," Didi replied, meeting his eyes, "hold the room, not me."
Hajin opened three Rings and spread Aegis across the chamber supports. Loccy carried the descending foundation, while Juna guarded the retreat.
Rumi and Nari held only the verified outer route, leaving Didi’s royal contest untouched. The First Prince sent two guards through the upper gallery under compelled orders.
Juna disarmed them without abandoning the exit, and Vella confirmed their minds remained bound to the royal mechanism. Ferra broke the control fixtures after Didi froze their commands.
Both guards crawled toward the safe corridor while Aria added their names to the coerced-host ledger without blaming them for an attack their blood or minds had not chosen.
Vella maintained contact with the child’s wrist as her neutral current kept body and core in one rhythm while the ownership mark pulled from beneath.
Didi’s Crowned Frost entered the black grammar one word at a time as she froze collection first, then assignment, and finally transfer.
Each refusal redirected retaliation through her existing Shards until their orbits began losing alignment while the Prince increased his blood pressure through the key.
"You protect material that would strengthen our line," he said, while Didi looked through the walls at the child hiding her horns.
"She is not our material," Didi replied, and the final word closed the refusal.
The blocked royal current had nowhere left to travel and completed one full orbit through Didi’s blood instead of returning to the prison.
Silver-gold resonance converged above her shoulder, compressed around a dark center that did not belong to the Underworld claim, and formed a fourth Shard.
The new Shard did not resemble the black Underworld boundary key. Its center carried Didi’s silver-gold resonance, while a narrow clear line recorded the protected person’s separate existence.
Her orbit stabilized around responsibility she had accepted, not blood she attempted to own, while no restored mana entered Didi’s exhausted pathways.
That new crystal joined the existing orbit while every injury and spent current remained. Three unassigned points appeared behind the breakthrough, but she left them untouched during the operation.

"Can you hold it?" Hajin asked.
"For the time we have, if nobody asks the fourth Shard to celebrate," Didi said, forcing steadiness into her voice, "proceed before my brother invents a fifth definition of property."
The First Prince struck the gallery glass with his palm. His weak royal trace recoiled from Didi’s completed orbit, unable to overwrite a bloodline expression that had matured beyond his borrowed key.
"Strength does not make your interpretation true," he said.
"No," Didi replied, looking upward, "protecting her made it mine."
Cessy inspected the frozen boundary through the mirror while the surrounding witnesses watched. Lucan monitored the audit symbols gathering behind her and warned that their protected channel could remain open for only several more minutes.
Cessy used that time to verify the refusal rather than offering encouragement the Underworld might interpret as alliance.
"The claim remains suspended, not destroyed," Cessy said, "if Didi loses physical contact or stops naming the protected person, the original authority can answer again."
Aria added the limitation to every rescue panel and noted that True Bearer had not granted Didi a Zone, permanent immunity, or control over unrelated Underworld laws.
It allowed this exact refusal while she accepted its consequence. Rumi approached the outer route and opened her first Wing, while Nari moved to the verified retreat with both smoke-gold planes ready.
Ferra placed Breaker’s Lever beside Hajin’s right hand within the limits they had verified. Vella asked the child before shifting her fingers along the treatment channel.
The frightened girl could not understand the power gathering around her, but she kept hold of Vella’s hand. Didi spoke the protected designation again without assigning a title.
The black ownership line remained frozen as the child looked toward Didi for the first time without hiding her horns.

True Bearer could hold the claim away from her, but it could not hold the prison open, move her body, or decide where the released circulation would go.
Didi held the designation between her hand and the black ownership line while Aria measured the seam, keeping the claim visible without letting it touch the child.
Hajin asked Vella to prepare a receiving circle outside the room and Ferra to brace its edges against the spatial glass, so released force would not choose the nearest body.
The girl watched Didi’s fingers instead of the frozen line, and Didi lowered her hand until the child could see her palm without being asked for a gesture.
Aria preserved the four requirements in order and refused to mark one complete merely because the first response stopped, since True Bearer could carry refusal but not provide the rescue route.
