Chapter 4
“It seems I don’t need to introduce myself.”
The Star God chuckled lightly and said, “Don’t be nervous; I’m not curious about how you know me.”
“I’m here for one reason: to make sure you survive the trial in the Rule Mirror tonight.”
“Once you make it out alive, we’ll talk about other things.”
After saying this, the Star God stood up slowly and added, “Don’t bother with that blue booklet; it’s no use to you.”
“Those with ‘God’ in their profession title face trials that are different from regular practitioners.”
“For example, a regular practitioner enters the Rule Mirror, kills a few beings from the mystical realm, and can advance to Level One, ending their trial.”
“But for us, it’s different. Take me, for instance. When I entered the Rule Mirror, I had to slay a deputy general and all his subordinates to gather enough energy to advance to Level One.”
“Luckily, I can harness the power of the stars to protect myself, so there’s no real danger to my life.”
