Chapter 129 - 174
A bright color of crimson glowed through Steinen’s visor.
The demon king shuddered, his whole body jolting downwards.
"How sneaky... the power of this nerf is quite incredible." The king clenched his fist, "To honor how you are doing everything in your power to defeat me, I will let you taste the true extent of my power."
The air around the demon king warped, making his figure look intimidating.
"One hundred percent." The demon king took a singular step.
Tremors were sent throughout the demon’s territory.
His step was audible everywhere, drowning the thunderstorms.
Without a bit of hesitancy, Incus lunged forward and stabbed her blade at the demon king.
But nothing happened.
The blade didn’t leave the slightest scratch.
"STEINEN!"
Launching himself in a linear angle, Steinen slammed his blade down at the king.
Not bothering to fight back, the king just stood in motion.
He merely tilted his head and shifted his eyes to watch how they would attack.
Dual wielding her swords, Incus started slashing rapidly at the king.
Jumping back, Incus gave Steinen a chance to attack himself.
Thrusting the giant hunk of steel, the king was sent skidding back.
Looks like his attack had some tact in it.
If the demon devourer skill is on then his attributes should be at around seventy nine.
Throwing and spinning her sword behind her, Incus summoned the dark and lightning sword.
She then cloaked herself in lightning.
Thrusting the blades in unison, her attacks bounced off the king’s skin.
Catching herself, she leaned down forward to a forty five degree angle.
"Excalivoid."
Stomping her foot forward to stable herself, she slashed both of the swords upwards.
"Rising warden slash!"
The light of mana shot up, the attack left a mark on the king’s skin but it didn’t wound him.
Dashing back in a zigzag, she grabbed the ice sword and started summoning multiple ice swords.
Launching the ice swords, they flew in a barrage at the king.
But the attack was futile.
Looking down at the demon king’s body, I noticed that there were shadow chains connected throughout his body.
That should stop him from moving for the time being.
What is Incus doing, none of the elements are working.
She must have realised this too because she only summoned the lightning hero sword to cloak herself in lightning.
On her other hand was the light hero sword.
"ExcaliBright." Armor started forming around her body made of light magic.
This action of hers made the king react, the chains slightly rattled.
Incus suddenly disappeared, appearing immediately in front of the demon king.
That speed...
Because of my improved stats, I could catch up to her speed.
However, that pace she demonstrated just now.
It was limit surge.
A slight gust of steam was coming off of her body, seeping through the crevices of her armor.
"Sweeping stream." Incus started speeding forward in a straight line towards the demon king.
Completely leaving no room for error in her movements.
Just as she appeared in front of the demon king, I could see that she used the impact line technique.
After a while of the repetitive attack, she stopped herself by sliding through the ground sideways.
Widening her stance, she torqued her arm all the way back and stabbed the blade forward at the demon king’s chest.
"Sky severing thrust!"
Not moving from the spot because of the chains, my eyes widened.
She used the light hero sword to stab the demon.
There was a wound on the demon king’s chest.
But it wasn’t a wound that had blood seeping out of it but one that revealed his flesh.
Underneath his skin was a compact and tight set of muscle fibers.
Raising his hand to touch his wound, the chain rattled, stopping him from checking his wound.
Looking at the chain, he flicked his wrist and set his arm free.
The chains couldn’t hold the giant from the water kingdom, so it shouldn’t mean that the chains would hold the king back.
Without a breath of rest, a wall of sword thrusts appeared before the demon.
Raising his arms to protect himself, this action made by the king shocked me.
"Thousand spear sky!"
But when the attack should’ve stopped, the sword thrusts continued to attack.
Incus must’ve noticed the king’s wound and reaction.

Something about it just isn’t right.
Light has properties to heal and things that light shouldn’t be able to do.
Using the knowledge that I have as the person that should’ve been the main character, an idea flashed through my mind.
Excalibur was known as the holy sword, meaning that it should have the power of divinity.
But none of the elements seem to emit as said: ’Divinity’.
Unless the sword’s divinity was transferred somewhere else.

The sword should’ve had an ability like healing or something instead of just an armor.
Answering my theory, the atmosphere around Incus and the demon king shifted.
The figure of the hero predecessor was hammering away at a sword.
It didn’t look like any of the other hero swords... it was excalibur in its true form.
"Excalibur has nine properties." The hero mumbled to himself, placing a hand on his chain.
Nine properties? But there’s eight swords, so it shouldn’t make sense. There should have been a ninth sword if that were the case.
The atmosphere fast forwarded to when the Excalibur were being split into multiple swords.
He used other materials to fill in the gaps to make the blade... well, like a sword.
Otherwise it would’ve been a dagger.
"The light element doesn’t really do anything aside from flash a bright light... it’s the most useless one. Should I just remove it?" The hero paused for a while. "No... it may prove useful in the future."
Grabbing a shard that looked absolutely beautiful, no shard would compare to it.
He placed the shard on top of the flat face of the sword.
