Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items

Chapter 261: Kylie’s Genius

Seth turned around and glanced at Elder Ron, his gaze filled with questions.

The elder clearly noticed but still repeated himself. "Come on, lad, she’s in an extremely delicate process of assimilation. For her safety, step back."

Glancing back at Kylie, Seth quickly retracted his hands carefully and stepped backward as instructed.

It seemed the last possibility he had considered was indeed accurate — she really had done this to herself.

Was this the mystery project they were working on?

He had assumed they would be focused on deciphering Dyson’s Mecha Index...

After moving back far enough, Elder Ron let out a relieved sigh.

"What’s going on?" Seth asked immediately. He had come here because he needed Kylie’s help, but in the state she was in, he wasn’t sure she’d be able to provide much assistance in finishing his teammates’ genetic battle suits.

Without the vital gene runes and the armament core, these suits could never be complete.

Without them, the metal parts he crafted might classify as top‑grade armor material, but they wouldn’t even qualify as origin items, let alone genetic armaments.

Elder Ron shrugged, replying to Seth’s inquiry in a single breath. "You were the one who provided her your blood, and now she has managed to extract the pure invincible gene cells — as she named them — residing within the sample you gave. With that, the little monster found a way to convert them into assimilatable stem cells."

Seth’s pupils constricted as he instantly comprehended what the elder was implying. His head whipped back toward Kylie, a gleam of amazement flashing in his eyes.

"Did this girl just find a way to turn herself into a bronze‑grade human?" he muttered in astonishment.

Seth didn’t know much about biology or genetic engineering, but that shouldn’t be easy, right?

There should be issues of compatibility — the HLA mismatch, to be exact. Wouldn’t her immune cells resist the assimilation of foreign stem cells? Plus, now he finally understood the cause of his bronze cell reaction.

The cells probably sensed the fresh stem cells ready for assimilation and reacted instinctively. He had a feeling that if he assimilated the stem cells Kylie was currently absorbing, his bronze cells would be fully saturated and finally ready for evolution...

Staring at Kylie’s graceful silhouette, still glowing with radiating beauty, Seth was once more entranced — not only by her appearance but by the outstanding genius behind it.

He felt a pat on his shoulder, and Elder Ron’s voice came from behind, wearing a knowing grin. "Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it at some point."

Seth rolled his eyes, understanding the hidden meaning behind the elder’s words. "Whatever, old man. How long will this process take?"

Elder Ron pulled back his sleeves to check the time. "Well, it should be done within an hour and twenty‑four minutes."

Seth grimaced. He had already spent about three hours forging, plus about an hour of cumulative extra time in intervals. He didn’t know how long it would take before he and his team were mobilized.

Scratching his gray hair, Elder Ron scanned Seth’s restless gait with a leisurely smile and spoke. "Hmm, you must be here for that package, right? The little monster kept it in my care. You can come check it out if you’re ready."

"Package?" Seth repeated in confusion.

"Just follow me, lad." The elder gestured as he walked out of the workshop, Seth having no choice but to follow behind, the metal doors sliding shut behind them.

The two walked through a series of intersecting hallways, passing several busy scientists and engineers rushing about their work, while Seth remained deep in thought.

"What’s the update on Dyson’s Mecha Index?" he asked the elder.

The elder sighed helplessly, replying with a shrug. "Well, the little monster deciphered it in a day and helped us draft eight blueprints, then called it a day... Can you imagine? That thing took me days just to decipher the first page, and she did all that in the same timespan."

The elder shook his head, wearing a weary expression as he glanced at Seth. "I don’t know if I should be proud or ashamed..."

Seth was at a loss for words. "Well, if I may ask, how long did she take to decipher the blood sample I donated to her?"

The elder chuckled. "You should be proud. That was the first time I’ve ever seen the little monster frustrated and hitting dead ends repeatedly... It took her about three days, I think."

Seth blinked. ’I should be proud my ass!’ he cursed inwardly.

A Shackled Realm genius had deciphered the genetic properties of an Awakened‑rank creature, and he was supposed to feel pride? He could only feel awe!

The level of attraction he felt at the moment couldn’t be put into words, and it only seemed to deepen the more he heard of her feats.

Just as they arrived before the entrance of a workshop lingering with the stench of charred metal and burnt appliances...

One Seth recognized well — Kylie’s workshop, the one devastated by the world‑tempering process and still visibly undergoing repairs.

But none of that registered to Seth as something clicked in his mind.

His eyes widened at the realization that the process Kylie was undergoing was related to a subject the Oracle Crystal had recently lectured him on a few days back.

The Nine Forbidden Arts: Extraction!

His heart skipped a beat, and he froze mid‑walk...

Recalling the adverse side effects the Oracle had warned about, Extraction was a forbidden art for a reason!

But no matter what he wanted to do now, wasn’t it already too late? She was already going through the assimilation process, meaning she had already absorbed bronze cells.

Wouldn’t the lingering traces of his will affect her? Could he do something to stop it?

He suddenly scowled, his expression morphing into urgency.

But before making any rash decisions, he needed to consult the Oracle.

He had to be sure if Extraction was still forbidden when done within racial bounds.

That was the only trace of hope he had.

Stepping into the half‑charred workshop, Seth ignored the elder’s presence and instantly summoned the Oracle Crystal...
