Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items

Chapter 360: Accessing The Situation

Seth’s eyes glowing like bright lamps in the dark of the surroundings.

The energy of gold spread around Seth like a domain, quickly beginning to actively shrink.

His veins beginning to glow as the influx flowed in reverse like a black hole, Seth’s pores acted on the existing flow in the air, while also extracting directly from the weapon.

Faint, pained cries echoed in his head, as the weapon spirit, unable to directly speak, desperately tried to resist the circumstances.

But it was all too late...

Seth’s mind carried the intent of the divine, the splitting pain unrelenting.

Will surged into the atmosphere around him, Seth feeling his mind to be in an absurd state of clarity.

His thought process flowed so fast, his mind processed so much at once.

His mental waves reacting intensely with the space and abstract flow of time in tandem.

The buff in will so strong that Seth’s affinities tied to his will were both boosted beyond margin.

He felt like he could activate the willborne abilities at an all-new high efficiency.

But for now all that capacity was focused into directing the flow of divine essence back into his soul, while actively trying to crush the spirit of the weapon.

Ancient, pretty weak, but sneaky, the weapon spirit posed to be resilient and durable.

Sinking deep into the complicated system of the weapon, and receding into a hiding spot where it remained hidden from Seth’s perceptions.

Meanwhile Seth remained unraveling himself from this unnatural state as fast as he could.

On the earth beneath him, the soldiers who had collapsed previously due to the influence of the spider beast slowly began to stir.

Their minds finally recovering to some extent, they awoke from their slumber, the adrenaline still surging into their veins.

Meanwhile from the side, Seth’s crew led by his chosen six arrived, pushing their way out of the thick foliage.

The crew looked haggard, with some members still having fresh critical open injuries as their bodies wafted of blood and sweat.

Their eyes drooped, expressing their exhaustion, but regardless they still rushed over in hopes of being of some help to the boss.

Uriel, still holding on to his aching skull, glanced up into the distance covered by a faint domain of gold pressing against the darkness of the surroundings.

His electric blue eyes scanning through the system message as he wore a confused expression.

An Abyssal Zone? What the hell was an abyssal zone?

Uriel couldn’t say, but the moment he felt the intense cold force of corruption not just sitting in the air but actively trying to drill into his pores, he understood quite immediately how dangerous the zone had become.

He could feel a surge of stiffness slowly taking hold of his joints, his essence flow weakening as it was directly being attacked.

It was almost as though the world itself was acting against his existence, punishing him passively the longer he remained within the sea of abyssal force.

"W-where is the monster?" Lukas asked, snapping out of his initial daze, his head whipping from side to side in caution.

And Uriel, still keeping his eyes on the distant Seth, didn’t seem to panic like the others.

To him the response to this question was so obvious...

Seth stood on the wind unharmed, and exuded a grand wave of suppressive might, like a furnace at its peak.

All while the enemy was nowhere to be found, it was pretty obvious Seth must have handled things himself.

Uriel sighed in admiration, Seth seemed to have managed to slay a beast that had killed him in the previous timeline. If he hadn’t acted fast, he really might have died.

"Sigh... the gap just keeps getting wider, I really can’t slack off, can I?" Uriel murmured while scanning their surroundings.

Currently some of the soldiers were still in a daze, aside from the newcomers that probably came from Seth’s side.

So all they needed now was a brief moment of reprieve while also trying to understand their surroundings.

Uriel’s gaze lingered on the quest bracket...

[Quest Issued!: Survive!]

Uriel’s lips curled into an unpleasant smile, this alone was enough to tell him what he needed to know.

He frowned, throwing a contemplative glance towards Seth’s direction...

Should they focus on searching for the others? Or should they be more concerned about retreating?

After all this Zone quest was grim enough for them to weigh their options.

"What’s happening with Seth?" Dorian asked, walking up to Uriel’s side while staring into the sky.

Uriel shrugged in response, while explaining, "He does shit like this every once in a while, last time it happened he became a dragon and right now I honestly doubt whatever this is can be worse than that."

Hearing this Dorian couldn’t help but nod, indeed last time Seth did appear back on the surface of the dragon genesis nest island as a dragon.

Compared to that this didn’t seem nearly as surprising or shocking.

Eventually his gaze moved, settling on the newly arrived soldiers, who promptly saluted the moment they felt his gaze on them.

Everyone, both the newcomers and the soldiers led by Uriel and the other two, made best use of the brief moment of reprieve.

Summoning their essence crystals to absorb some energy, with the healers being the busiest, going around to help those in a critical state.

Mostly those from the new arriving side, who had their bodies lacerated with claw marks, their body covered with crusting blood.

The group settled, and entered a recovery mode, everyone patiently waiting for Seth to be done with whatever he was doing.

While the leaders remained on alert, constantly patrolling and scanning their surroundings.

Wary of attacks that might be launched by the corrupted.

And something also told Uriel that the change in name of the zone would affect a lot more than the hue of their surroundings and energy existing in the atmosphere.

He feared the corrupted would experience massive buffs in their abilities.

And even if by some slim chance that didn’t happen, the debuff the humans were currently under was a disadvantage in itself.

’To think a corrupt zone could end up being this dangerous...’ he thought to himself.

In the end it was understandable after all zones were all now at the awakened grade and this one in particular seemed to have a difficulty several cuts above the rest.

Just as he was finalizing this thought, the field of gold around Seth finally dwindled into nothing, the surrounding corrupt force finally surging back into the space around Seth.

As he finally finished extracting his energy back into his core...

The glow in his eyes faded, and the energy flow around his body went dormant, as his frame suddenly dipped, falling right out of the sky...
