Chapter 64 - Breaking the barrier
Everything came back to its natural state. They arrived at the middle finger Peak and stayed there for a night.
No one mentioned the painting or the things they experienced. Everyone ignored me and moved on.
It was strange that they understood the feeling without speaking with words. Silas observed it for his spell. When the morning came, the spirit prepared a feast for Eli and as a result, Silas’s group filled the bones.
Even the bones were like a 5 stars meal to them. Spirits’ brilliance can’t be ignored. So, Silas praised.
He bowed down as he shoved into the tiny opening made from the bandages.
"What is the next plan?" Eli asked from his meal.
"Break the barrier and take the treasure."
"That is not the deal." Eli said, dropping the food back. His presence intensified.
Silas gulped the saliva and laughed, trying to ease the tense situation he found himself in. Angrying Eli was the last thing he wanted to do right now.
Although Eli was just a fifth circle mage, his power was equal to seventh or eighth circle. Perhaps, he was underestimating him because he didn’t know how Eli fought with spirits.
"I know. I know. Don’t be so cold, Eli. It is part of a plan."
"Oh, I don’t know what kind of plan you’re making."
"You can ask." Silas said.
Eli shrugged and continued his meal. "I won’t. I trust you."
"And what happens when I break that trust?"
"I don’t know." Eli replied. "But I suggest you think carefully before you make the decision. After all, no one breaks my trust."
Silas laughed.
Eli looked at him in confusion.
"Of course. No one broke your trust. You don’t even have friends." Silas said harshly but his tone was light.
Eli frowned and sighed. "I have friends."
"Spirit doesn’t count." Silas said but a wave of wind passed him. He paused and looked up, seeing Vae floating.
"My bads, I guess they do count as a friend." Silas coughed.
"Anyway, we will destroy the barrier today. But before that I need help from you. More specifically, your spirits."
"Tell me."
Silas took out many letters from his pocket which he wrote last night before sleeping. He threw the letters to Eli.
"I want the letter to be sent to every peak master in this place."
"Oh. You can just use spells and send those. No need to rely on my friends." Eli said, emphasizing on the word, friends.
"No. No. That is impossible since my spells aren’t strong enough. I don’t just want to send the letters, Eli. I want them to read. Some won’t even bother with the letter." Silas said in sorrow.
Eli frowned. "Sure then."
Five different spirits came out and took the letter with their power. They then floated toward Silas and waited for his instructions.
Silas coughed, clearing his throat.
"The contents in the letter are the same so you guys don’t need to worry about mixing." Silas said and paused. "There are a few difficult people but use your strength to make them read. If they resist, you can use superior force."
"That seemed like a bully," Eli added.
"It is for my own good."
The spirits nodded and left quickly disappearing into the world.
Silas laid back on the chair and hummed a soft tone. The song was from his world and as a result, foreign to Eli.
"Are you chanting a spell?" He asked suddenly.
"What? No. It is a sound." Silas said.
"In what language. It sounded like ancient language to me."
"No, it is a new language I created myself." Silas lied. In truth, it was English.

The spirits came back and told him the result. I
They only needed to force one person to make it read.
Surprise. Surprise. It was Rowe.
That brute elf was stubborn and even challenged the spirit so, they forced. When Silas asked about the succubus, they told him that she was in the corner, dazing at the sky, looking lifeless.
"Hmm." Silas anticipated that but he didn’t expect it to be this soon.
With Rowe’s personality, he won’t care about love and all that stuff. From the start, she was facing a losing battle.
Still, he didn’t understand why Ice-pick left and stayed there.
Silas walked to the edge and entered his tent. Roland was outside, training his sword art with his closed eyes. He said, when he encountered incomprehensible stuff, he wanted to fight it.
Silas just gave him a look and left.
Inside the tent, Luna was training with her spell.
Her theory was good and her control was excellent. Her concealment was top notch as well. The only thing she needed to work was her speed.
After that step, she just needed to focus on breaking the barrier of the third circle.
Silas guessed that it wouldn’t take that long. He had supplied her with necessary knowledge and even gave her a few Tier 3 spells to practice.
She looked up and nodded at him and turned her attention back onto her spell.
Silas walked toward his chair and sat down. He then closed his eyes.
’The spell. It is not finished yet. I need more subjects.’ He thought and channeled mana into his hand and shaped it into a circle.
At first it looked like a random shape but from Silas’s view, it was a crest. A new crest he made.
He turned off the mana and rested for a few hours.
After that, he changed his clothes and bandages. Afterward, he stepped out from the tent and nodded.
"Ready." He muttered and threw a Pierce at Roland, who was meditating.
The energy inside the young knight surged and blocked off the attack. No, it was not a block. It was absorbed.
Then energy absorbed his spell and turned into his own. Silas’s eyes widened as noticed that. Roland was on the verge of advancing.
The young knight opened his eyes and looked at Silas. He then smiled a big one and came beside Silas in a flash.
"I finally passed the wall." Roland said the good news. "I just need to consolidate my gain and make the new power I gain mine alone."
"How is your fifth technique?"
"You just experienced it. What do you think?"
"How is the conversion rate? 100 percent?"
"Close. 90 but if the attack is constant, I got about 80." Roland said.
"Can you take my Fourth circle?" Silas asked.
"I have never seen your spell past the second circle." Roland said.
"Then, let’s test it." Silas smiled.
