"Dad! Dad!" Su Qingxue startled awake from a nightmare to find Ye Fan sitting beside her. Haggard, she grabbed his arm. "I dreamed my dad was killed! Tell me it’s not true! It’s not true!"

"Thank you," Su Qingxue said gratefully.

But Fang Nan then said, "You know, the conflict between us was completely unnecessary."

"You’re right," Su Qingxue sighed. "It’s time we resolved our differences."

"I’m old but sturdy! Still going strong! I can handle it!" Heavenly Eye chuckled awkwardly. Then he asked, "So, Boss, what can I do for you?"

"Nothing major," Ye Fan replied. "Just get Heavenly Defect and Earthly Defect over here for me."

"Okay, no problem! I’ll get them right now!"

Heavenly Eye disappeared from the video feed and returned five minutes later. He was flanked by two spirited yet cold-faced men with otherwise ordinary features. These were the assassins Heavenly Defect and Earthly Defect, the two most exceptional killers in King Hall.

"Alright, you two, drop the tough-guy act. I have a job for you," Ye Fan said. He couldn’t stand it when they put on their cold facades. If they were standing next to him right now, he’d definitely plant a couple of good kicks on them.
