Chapter 203: The Ironclad Legacy
The deafening cheers of two million unified citizens shook the thick stone walls of the massive Iron Colosseum. I stood up from my velvet viewing chair and leaped effortlessly down to the ruined sandy floor. My heavy boots cracked the repaired stone upon impact.
My five beautiful Queens followed gracefully behind me, descending lightly onto the Colosseum floor.
The colossal Steampunk battle-mech hissed loudly as its heavy brass gears spun down. Nyssa's son popped the heavy iron hatch and climbed quickly out.
He wiped thick dark grease from his green forehead. His four siblings stood in a tight circle around him. They panted heavily, completely covered in thick dirt and raw magical residue.
"You fought incredibly well," I rumbled deeply. I walked slowly toward my powerful children.
"But you rely entirely too heavily on raw physical instinct. A true Sovereign controls the chaotic battlefield before the very first punch is even thrown."
"He cheated, father!" the draconic boy complained loudly. He pointed a smoking green finger directly at the young goblin architect.
"He brought a giant iron machine to a simple fistfight!"
Nyssa stepped quickly forward and crossed her arms.
"There is no cheating in pure survival, little dragon. My brilliant boy simply utilized his available mechanical resources. You should have melted the scrap iron completely before he could finish assembling it."
Rolf leaped gracefully down from the high Vanguard viewing deck. The massive Silver Colossus landed heavily beside me. He clapped his huge furry hands together.
"A glorious violent display!" Rolf roared happily.
"The Blackhorn battalion is entirely ready to recruit all five of them tomorrow morning!"
"They have plenty of time before they forcefully march into the dark Labyrinth, Alpha," Anise laughed warmly. She placed a highly protective hand firmly on her muscular daughter's shoulder.
"Let them enjoy the bright festival today."
I nodded slowly and turned my intense gaze toward the massive roaring crowd.
Humans, tall elves, and horned beastmen stood shoulder to shoulder in the packed stone bleachers. They waved heavy iron banners and cheered wildly for the unified goblin empire.
I ignited my internal monster core. I did not need a physical magical amplifier. My deep heavy baritone voice carried perfectly across the sprawling Steampunk capital. It slipped seamlessly into the active minds of every single living citizen on the spinning globe.
"People of the Velkrath Imperium!" I roared fiercely.
The entire colossal stadium fell completely silent instantly. Millions of glowing bright eyes locked directly onto my towering dark green form.
"Ten years ago, the freezing sky shattered," I declared smoothly.
"The arrogant cosmic entities looked down upon our dirt and decided we were completely unworthy of existence. They tried to violently burn our homes to gray ash. They tried to permanently erase our entire future."
I slowly raised my heavy right brass fist high into the warm afternoon air.
"But the Forge did not break!" I shouted powerfully.
"THE FORGE PROVIDES!" two million voices screamed back simultaneously. The sheer kinetic volume shook the very tectonic plates directly beneath our heavy boots.
"Look closely around you today," I continued proudly.
"Look at the fierce beastman standing peacefully beside the human paladin. Look at the ancient elf trading safely with the dwarven engineer. We took a broken, bloody, prejudiced world and we hammered it forcefully into a perfect Steampunk machine. We built a true global utopia entirely through unbreakable iron and unified mortal willpower."
I lowered my heavy hand and looked directly intimately into the cheering massive crowd.
"We will never go back to the dark miserable ages of starving in the freezing mud," I promised heavily.
"We will never again bow to fake golden gods hiding cowardly in the bright clouds. This physical planet belongs entirely completely to us. We will ruthlessly defend this perfect peace until the very end of time!"
The massive festival immediately erupted into endless joyful music and heavy rhythmic dancing. Massive brass Steampunk airships fired colorful glowing fireworks incredibly high into the clear blue sky.
As the warm evening sun began to slowly set, I retreated to the highest stone balcony of the Iron Estate. I sat heavily upon my colossal starmetal throne overlooking the entire glowing metropolis.
Ramona walked gracefully up behind my tall chair. She wrapped her warm olive arms tightly securely around my broad thick neck. Kaelith rested her beautiful head gently against my left shoulder.
Lysandra, Anise, and Nyssa stood closely together beside us. They watched the massive joyful celebration happening directly below in the city plaza.
"You actually did it, Grik," Anise whispered softly. She wiped a happy genuine tear from her hazel eye.
"You saved every single person."
"We saved everyone," I corrected deeply. I rested my heavy dark hand over Ramona's soft fingers.
"I was just a desperate dying monster trapped in a dark freezing cave. You all gave me the essential raw strength to violently tear the high heavens down."
Nyssa smiled a wide jagged green smile.
"The global power grid is running at maximum optimal efficiency. The deep Labyrinth is securely contained. The growing children are terrifyingly strong. Your physical work here is truly finished, Master."
"A Sovereign's work is never truly entirely finished," I murmured quietly.
The bright setting sun finally dipped completely below the distant western horizon. The dark night sky blanketed the sprawling Steampunk capital. Millions of glowing blue Aetherion streetlamps flickered rapidly to life. They perfectly mirrored the distant bright stars floating silently in the deep cosmic void.
I leaned back comfortably into the cold polished starmetal of my massive throne.
The false digital System was permanently violently destroyed. The towering Supreme Creator was dead. The entire physical planet was completely unified.
But I knew the deep dark universe was incredibly infinitely vast. There were endless uncharted galaxies floating far beyond our tiny peaceful solar system. Unknown terrifying cosmic horrors and ancient massive threats could be waiting patiently in the freezing black void.
I slowly raised my heavy green head and stared directly up into the endless dark sea of stars.
Deep inside my glowing red eyes, the terrifying paradoxical gray Singularity Fire briefly violently flared. It was a silent heavy promise to the dark infinite universe.
Let them come.
The God Butcher is always watching.
THE END!
