Chapter 152 - 152
After the family of three said their goodbyes, a dark rift opened, and Namikaze Kirito stepped through with Orochimaru.
As she watched her son's figure gradually disappear, Kushina could not hold back anymore. She buried her face against Namikaze Minato's chest and wept quietly.
Minato held her gently, but his eyes remained fixed on the distant sky, silently offering his blessing in his heart.
After arriving in Rōran, Namikaze Kirito and Orochimaru quickly made their way to the Ryūmyaku. As the Ryūmyaku's power surged violently, a white flash swallowed everything around them.
Once the blinding light faded and their vision adjusted, they found themselves back where they had started, with the ninja guarding the area already standing by.
The moment he saw the two of them appear, the ninja immediately bowed.
"Lord Kirito. Lord Orochimaru."
Namikaze Kirito gave a small nod and asked, "How long have we been gone this time?"
"My lord, you have been away for roughly half a month."
Hearing the respectful reply, Namikaze Kirito fell silent for a moment.
In that parallel world, I stayed for more than a month... but only half a month passed here.
That means the flow of time between the two worlds is different. At the very least, it is not one-to-one.
His gaze lifted toward the Ryūmyaku. Even now, its violent chakra had barely weakened.
In other words, if he wanted to return to that parallel world again, all he needed to do was activate the Ryūmyaku once more.
With that thought in mind, Namikaze Kirito turned toward Orochimaru.
"Seal this place. Post men here to guard it. Without my order, no one is allowed to enter."
"Yes."
Orochimaru lowered his head slightly to show he understood.
Then another dark distortion opened before Namikaze Kirito.
Yomotsu Hirasaka.
Without another word, he stepped straight through it.
Meanwhile, back in Konoha—
Inside Tsunade's residence, the atmosphere had already turned tense.
The two women sat there staring at each other, neither willing to back down.
Tsunade frowned as she looked at Terumī Mei, who was casually eating fruit like she owned the place.
"I'll say this again, Mei. You keep coming into my house whenever you feel like it. Don't you think that's a little inappropriate?"
If it had been anyone else, they probably would have left after hearing that.
But Terumī Mei was not the kind of woman who would retreat so easily.
She swallowed the fruit in her mouth, then looked at Tsunade with those alluring eyes of hers and replied in a calm, unhurried voice, "This may be your house, Elder Tsunade, but it is also Kirito's house. And as his wife, I don't see any problem with me being here."
Tsunade's temple twitched.
"Watch your mouth, you homewrecker. Since when did you get to call him that so casually?"
Mei only smiled.
"Oh? That's rich coming from you. You were no better than me that day. Honestly, Elder Tsunade, for someone who always acts so dignified, you were surprisingly bold."
Tsunade's eyes narrowed dangerously.
"You really want to fight that badly?"
Mei set the fruit aside and rose to her feet without the slightest hesitation.
"If you want to settle it with force, I don't mind. We still haven't decided who won last time. And today, no one's here to stop us."
The moment those words left her mouth, Tsunade stood as well.
A heavy pressure burst from her body.
Mei did not yield in the slightest. One hand rose lightly toward her lips, as if she could unleash her chakra nature at any moment.
The air in the room grew colder and colder.
Just as the two of them were about to make their move, a dark rift suddenly opened between them.
A familiar figure stepped out from inside it.
It was Namikaze Kirito.
"Kirito!"
Mei did not even give Tsunade a chance to speak. She rushed forward immediately and threw herself into his arms.
Tsunade's fist clenched so hard the veins on the back of her hand bulged.
"This damn woman..."
Namikaze Kirito glanced at the two of them and let out a quiet sigh.
"I already told you both not to fight. If either of you gets hurt, I'm the one who has to deal with it. So be good for once."
Holding Mei easily with one arm, he walked over toward Tsunade.
Tsunade was still clearly upset, but when she saw him approach, the anger in her eyes flickered for just a moment into something softer.
Then she immediately turned her face away with a huff.
Kirito already knew her too well by now.
Without giving her any room to refuse, he wrapped his free arm around her as well and pulled her into his embrace.
The two women ended up held in his arms at the same time.
Mei, of course, was still not satisfied. Even while leaning against him, she shot Tsunade a smug little look.
Tsunade responded by raising her pale fist slightly, her meaning obvious.
I can still punch her whenever I want.
Seeing the silent exchange between them, Kirito could only feel a little helpless.
In the original story, one had been the Fifth Hokage and the other the Fifth Mizukage. Maybe it was their personalities, maybe it was simply fate, but the two of them had never been able to get along.
Even after becoming this close to him, they still started bickering the moment they saw each other.
"Kirito... while you were gone, Tsunade kept bullying me."
Mei lifted her head and looked up at him with misty eyes, putting on such a pitiful expression that it would have fooled almost anyone.
Tsunade, naturally, was not going to play along with something like that.
She only clenched her fist tighter.
If Kirito were not standing here, she would have already sent Mei flying.
Kirito raised a brow, then the corner of his mouth curled into a faintly dangerous smile, as if he had just thought of something.
"Then bully her back."
He paused, his smile deepening.
"Of course... not here."
The moment they heard that, both Tsunade and Mei immediately understood what he meant.
The color drained from their faces for half a second before embarrassment surged right back in.
Without hesitation, both women used all their strength at once, trying to wrench themselves free from his arms.
Neither of them wanted to relive that humiliating memory a second time.
But Kirito's arms did not budge in the slightest.
They felt less like human arms and more like iron restraints, locking the two of them firmly in place.
At that point, there was no room left for hostility between them. The instant their eyes met, they reached an unspoken agreement and started struggling together.
Chakra flared from both of them at once as they tried to force their way free.
But to the current Namikaze Kirito, that level of resistance was almost laughably harmless.
With a single casual motion, he lifted both of them off the ground.
"No! Absolutely not, Kirito! Listen to me first—put me down! Take her if you want, just leave me out of it! I swear I won't be jealous anymore!"
Mei's face was already bright red as she lost control of her body completely, and judging by the panic in her voice, she had already imagined exactly what was about to happen.
Tsunade was no better.
"You little brat, put me down right now! Just take this shameless woman with you! I promise I won't pick a fight with her next time!"
Their pleading had no effect whatsoever.
A gust of wind swept through the room.
In the next moment, the figures of the three of them vanished from the living room entirely.
At the same time, inside the village's meeting room, aside from Terumī Mei and Tsunade, everyone else had already gathered.
The Konoha elders were present.
Orochimaru had also arrived after making the arrangements to seal the Ryūmyaku.
Everyone else was there.
And at that moment, the people seated at the front exchanged grave looks with one another.
