Chapter 482 - 464: 2nd Breaking Limit Demon-subduing Saber
Su Yu first picked up the Cyan Jade Embryo to examine it. Under the morning light, he could faintly see the pale cyan glow inside pulsing like breathing, beating once every few breaths.
He thought to himself, "It truly is a rare treasure. It’s almost like a living creature."
Su Yu called Qing’Er over, asking her to sense the Cyan Jade Embryo.
"Brother Su, this Cyan Jade Embryo is indeed extraordinary; it’s autonomously absorbing Spiritual Qi. However, the Spiritual Qi in this small courtyard is too sparse. I’m afraid it won’t be able to replenish much," she noted.
Su Yu nodded. He gently cut a small opening in the Cyan Jade Embryo, and a drop of cyan liquid immediately flowed out, slowly dripping into the wine cup below.
"I can feel the rich Spiritual Qi, Brother Su. There’s no problem," Zhen’Er confirmed.
With her confirmation, Su Yu no longer hesitated and drank it.
As the Jade Liquid entered his stomach, a burst of pure aura instantly circulated throughout his entire body, nourishing his flesh.

In just a short while, his Breakthrough Point progress had surged by over eighty percent, leaving Su Yu in awe.
What an incredible Cyan Jade Embryo! Those ten thousand Merit Points were well spent!
[Breakthrough Point]: 2 Points (Progress 77%)
Striking while the iron was hot, Su Yu picked up the stalk of Blood Flame Profound Lingzhi.
The blood-red patterns on it flowed like flames, exuding an astonishing aura.
Su Yu broke off a small piece and swallowed it directly.
Instantly, a heat akin to magma surged within his body. It was so scalding that he stripped off his shirt right there, revealing his lean, muscular torso.

Soon, after he finished consuming the entire Blood Flame Profound Lingzhi, the Breakthrough Point progress increased by nearly another fifty percent.
[Breakthrough Point]: 3 Points (Progress 24%)
"It’s so hot, but my body can still handle it!" he exclaimed.
Su Yu used his Divine Sense Internal Observation and found that his meridians were overflowing, his Qi and Blood surging like roaring flames.
He walked over to the well, and Zhen’Er skillfully poured cool well water over his body, immediately bringing him a refreshing wave of comfort.
"Again!"
Su Yu then swallowed the Red Flame Profound Lingzhi, which had similar medicinal properties, and his Breakthrough Point progress began to skyrocket once more.

"The medicinal effects are even stronger; the progress actually reached eighty percent!"
A glint of excitement flashed in Su Yu’s eyes. His Breakthrough Points had reached three; he had never been this affluent before.
"Zhen’Er, lend me a hand!"
Zhen’Er offered a radiant smile. Exhaling a faint, orchid-like fragrance, she stepped forward on her long, slender legs. Rising slightly on her tiptoes, she pressed her enticing red lips against Su Yu’s.
A stream of pure Wood Spirit Qi flowed into Su Yu’s mouth, gradually dissipating his physical fatigue and calming the fiery medicinal energy wreaking havoc inside him.
After several breaths, the two reluctantly parted, a knowing smile reflecting in both of their eyes.
Su Yu picked up the last remaining rare treasure, the Earth Core Spirit Milk, and began to consume it.
One drop, two drops...
As he swallowed the Earth Core Spirit Milk, delightful text continually flashed before his eyes.

[Breakthrough Point]: 4 Points (Progress 44%)
Su Yu opened his eyes, feeling that his body had reached its absolute limit. He wouldn’t be able to consume any more Treasure Medicine today.
His gaze then landed on his Martial Arts.
He thought, "It’s time for Breaking Limit!"
He currently had two choices. The first was to attempt Breaking Limit on one of his Martial Arts for the fourth time to see what the effects would be. The risks and rewards for this path were completely unknown.
The second option was a safer route: continuing to upgrade the Martial Arts that had already undergone Breaking Limit.
[Martial Arts]: Vajra Fearless True Sound (Breaking Limit 1 Time) ([Traits]: Divine Sense Heart Sound)
[Martial Arts]: Spiritual Ape Demon-Slaying Saber (Breaking Limit 1 Time) (Subduing Demons)
[Martial Arts]: Black Stone Body Forging Skill (1st Floor) (Breaking Limit 1 Time) (Formless Flowing Gold)
[Martial Arts]: Lingxi Beast Taming Technique (Breaking Limit 1 Time) (Spirit Rhinoceros Blood Contract)
[Martial Arts]: Money Tossing (Breaking Limit 1 Time) ([Traits]: Spiral Armor-Breaking)
He pondered, "I rarely use the Lingxi Beast Taming Technique and Money Tossing right now, so I’ll hold off on Breaking Limit for those. As for the Black Stone Body Forging Skill, now that I have the Divine Law Blood and Flesh Self-Healing, I don’t need overly strong defenses for the time being.
"Looking at it this way, if I want to rapidly increase my combat power, I still need to continue Breaking Limit for the Vajra Fearless True Sound and the Spiritual Ape Demon-Slaying Saber!
"These two Martial Arts are currently my primary methods of combat, and both can provide the most direct boost to my strength."
Having made his decision, Su Yu didn’t hesitate anymore. He pressed the "+" symbol behind the Spiritual Ape Demon-Slaying Saber.
[Spiritual Ape Demon-Slaying Saber Breaking Limit for the second time... Breaking Limit successful. Consumed 2 Breakthrough Points.]
[Awakened new Traits: Soul-Catching]
The next moment, that familiar sensation washed over him again. Su Yu’s consciousness ascended infinitely, entering a hazy space, and the scene before his eyes abruptly shifted.
He was in a deep, secluded forest with towering ancient trees.
Su Yu had transformed into a white Spiritual Ape, leaping and darting between the colossal trees with lightning-fast agility.
Behind him, a ferocious beast—as massive as a small mountain and resembling a rabid lion—smashed through countless giant trees, roaring as it pursued him relentlessly.
The foul wind whipped up by the vicious beast gusted wildly, shaking the leaves and branches until they cascaded down.
Suddenly, the Spiritual Ape stopped atop a towering ancient tree. It slowly turned around, its long, slender fingers gripping the saber hilt as its profound eyes stared straight at the approaching beast.
Even before the blade was drawn, an invisible Saber Stance had already blanketed the dense forest.
The beast’s roaring came to an abrupt halt, its massive body freezing in place.
The viciousness in its eyes rapidly dissolved into sheer terror. In its vision, the Spiritual Ape before it seemed to grow infinitely tall. The long saber in the ape’s hand appeared like a divine blade descending from the heavens, poised to cleave right through its skull.
The beast wanted to dodge, but its limbs felt powerless, as if sinking into a quagmire. Its perception, judgment, and physical reflexes were all delayed by a split second.
And that mere split second was more than enough.
SHING!
The long saber descended like a cascading galaxy.
A snow-white saber gleam swept through the dense woods. No matter how the beast struggled or tried to evade, the blade seemed securely locked onto its vital energy, capturing its very soul and following it like a shadow.
SLASH!
The massive head shot into the sky before tumbling heavily to the ground.
Torrential blood sprayed outward like a geyser, dyeing a large swath of the surrounding shrubs a gruesome red.
Immediately after, the scene rippled and shattered like water, and Su Yu’s consciousness returned to reality.
A profound wave of comprehension flooded into his mind. His eyes snapped open, radiating a lightning-like brilliance.
The so-called Soul-Catching did not mean injuring the soul with the physical blade. Instead, it used the Demon-Slaying Saber Stance to seize the opponent’s mind and lock onto their vital energy. The more fear the enemy harbored in their heart, the heavier the Saber Stance became. Once their mind fell into chaos, they would never be able to escape the blade’s lock.
[Martial Arts]: Spiritual Ape Demon-Slaying Saber (Breaking Limit 2 Times) (Subduing Demons) (Soul-Catching)
[Traits: Soul-Catching]
Before the blade arrives, the soul is already caught.
You have deduced the Demon-Slaying Saber Stance to a higher realm, granting it the ability to seize the mind and lock onto vital energy.
Upon drawing the saber, the opponent’s mind will be drawn in by the Saber Stance, causing a brief delay in their perception, judgment, and physical reflexes. Furthermore, it will be incredibly difficult for them to escape the blade’s lock using an ordinary Body Technique.
The more shaken the enemy’s mind is, the stronger the power of Soul-Catching becomes.
"Brother Su, did you achieve a breakthrough?"
Zhen’Er possessed sharp senses. Seeing Su Yu’s reaction, she immediately guessed the reason.
Su Yu nodded and said softly, "I’ve gained some new insights into my Saber Technique. Zhen’Er, let’s have a spar to test it out!"
"Alright, Brother Su! I also happen to have just comprehended the fourth sword of the Cyan Lotus Swordsmanship!"
Zhen’Er’s beautiful eyes shone with astonishing spirit. She darted backward to open up some distance, drew her Cyan Jade Short Sword, and pointed it at him from afar.
