Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss

Chapter 426 - 424: The Archfiend is Shocked, He... He Became a Father?

"Wonderful!"

"We have a Young Master!"

"Our Demonic Domain has its lady!"

The crowd knelt and roared in unison.

"Congratulations, Exalted One!"

"May the Demonic Domain last for ages, its might shaking the world... May the Demonic Domain last for ages, its might shaking the world."

The Demon Cultivators on Javier Sinclair’s side roared in unison, their slogan so comically grandiose it sounded like a massive sales pitch.

Watching this scene through the Mysterious Ancient Mirror, Celeste Grant couldn’t help but laugh. ’It seems that whether it’s in my Cultivation World or in the Upper Realm, the slogans for the demon factions led by the top villain are always this over-the-top.’

Just then, Javier Sinclair, seated in his Flying Palace, suddenly turned to look up at the sky.

He raised an eyebrow slightly.

He wasn’t sure if he was imagining it, but he kept feeling a familiar gaze upon him. Yet when he focused his senses and looked, there was nothing there.

’How strange!’

Javier Sinclair frowned slightly. With his current Cultivation, there was no one in either the Immortal or Demonic Realms who could hide right under his nose.

He wasn’t angry, just slightly puzzled, because the gaze felt remarkably familiar—as if Celeste were watching him.

’But how could that be possible? My wife is still in the Lower Realm. There’s no way she could be here.’

Javier Sinclair didn’t know the specific functions of the Ancient Mirror he had given Celeste Grant, only that it could be used as a Defense Treasure. He also had no idea that the Mysterious Ancient Mirror was originally his own possession; he thought he had obtained it by chance.

Just as he was pondering this, he heard a familiar voice in the air.

"Javier Sinclair."

’That voice is... Celeste.’

The voice came from high above him. He snapped his head up, his eyes instantly lighting up. But there was no sign of Celeste Grant in the sky—in fact, there was nothing there at all.

Javier Sinclair looked puzzled. He turned to his subordinates and asked, "Did any of you hear that?"

At his question, his Demon Cultivators exchanged confused glances.

Then their gazes fell upon the skeleton hanging from the flagpole, and their faces lit up with sudden understanding.

A Demon Cultivator spoke up. "Exalted One, we heard him! That old geezer from the Holy Land of the Immortal Domain said you couldn’t possibly have a lady."

The others nodded emphatically.

"Yes, we heard it too."

"Even as a pile of bones, that old geezer can’t keep his mouth shut."

Javier Sinclair: "..."

’Was that what I was talking about?’ Frowning, he glanced up at the sky again. "Did none of you hear someone call out to me just now?" ’I was sure I heard the voice of the woman I’ve been missing so much. Could I be hearing things because it’s been too long?’

The Demon Cultivators beside him shook their heads.

"We didn’t hear anything, Exalted One."

"That’s right! We didn’t hear anything either, Exalted One."

He gave a slight wave of his hand.

"Never mind."

He was a little disappointed.

Just then, he heard that familiar voice call to him again.

"Hey... Javier Sinclair! Up here! Look up! Can’t you see me?"

The voice continued in his ear.

Again, it came from the sky above.

"Husband, can you hear me?"

"Haha! Archfiend! It’s been a while. You look pretty impressive, you scoundrel."

Javier Sinclair’s eyes widened in shock, then lit up with delight at the sound of her familiar, teasing voice.

This time, he knew he wasn’t imagining things. He was really hearing Celeste Grant’s voice. Since his men seemed completely oblivious, he was certain the voice was meant for his ears alone.

Not wanting his men to think he was crazy, Javier Sinclair casually raised a hand and conjured a Barrier around himself. It shielded him from view, enveloping him in silence.

Javier Sinclair looked up at the sky, his eyes filled with delighted surprise. He couldn’t help but call out softly, "Celeste, is that you?"

Her voice replied, "Yep, it’s me! You can’t see me? I can see you just fine from my end."

Javier Sinclair shook his head. "I can’t see you." He paused for a moment, then added, "But I have a way."

’As long as she can see me, I have a way to see her.’

He brought two fingers together and gently lifted them, tracing a rune in the air. As his fingers swept across the rune, Celeste Grant’s image materialized before him.

Celeste Grant was leaning in for a closer look; she was so near that he could only see her from the torso up, her face clear and magnified.

"Now I see you," he said, his gaze fixed on her.

He reached out his hand.

He reached out to gently touch her cheek, but his fingers met only empty air. It was to be expected; they were in two different places, and not even his Magic could bridge that physical gap.

Javier Sinclair calmly withdrew his hand.

"What is my wife up to?"

She laughed.

"Silly. I’m talking to you. Not doing much of anything else."

"So... we haven’t seen each other in a while. Have you missed me?" The moment the words left his mouth, Javier Sinclair felt a strange heat rise in his cheeks.

In the projection before him, Celeste Grant offered a faint smile. She was resting her cheek on her hand, her eyes fixed on him. Her lips parted in a soft smile as she said, "Yes, I’ve missed you."

Then she lowered her voice and added, "I’ve missed you, Archfiend."

As she spoke, she made a heart with her hands toward him, leaned in closer, and whispered, "I’ve already said I missed you... so, my dear husband, have you missed me?"

Hearing her say she missed him, Javier Sinclair felt a warmth spread through his chest. ’I’ve only been gone a short time, and she already can’t live without me.’

He lifted his gaze, feigning composure.

"I have."

"Really? Do you really mean it, or are those just words?"

"Both," he said, quickly changing the subject. "How have you been in the Cultivation World? Have you run into any problems you couldn’t handle?"

Celeste Grant shook her head. "No, no, everything’s fine. I’ve just been a little short-tempered and irritable lately. Other than that, everything’s good."

’Irritable...’

Javier Sinclair thought for a moment.

’Could it be because I haven’t returned yet?’ At this thought, his expression softened. "Wait for me. As soon as I’ve handled things here, I’ll come down to the Lower Realm to find you." He couldn’t resist asking, "By the way, how are you able to see me? And it seems I’m the only one who can hear your voice."

"Have you forgotten?" she said. "You left me that Ancient Mirror before you left, remember? You said it was a Divine Artifact for my protection. Well, I did a little research and found out this Ancient Mirror can do a lot more than that—like letting me see you."
