High Martial: I Use Everything as Swords

Chapter 66 - 65: The Aerial Sideways Drift Reappears

"Calling Air Patrol One!"

"Calling Air Patrol One!"

"This is Han Feng. Go ahead."

Han Feng’s voice was as calm as ever.

"This is Watchtower Three!"

"Just now, the underground detection array picked up an abnormal vibration signal!"

The watch officer’s voice trembled uncontrollably.

"The epicenter is fifty meters deep and rising fast!"

"Coordinates are Wheat Field One, directly below you!"

A coarse, gravelly voice with a metallic rasp cut authoritatively into the channel.

"Air Patrol One, this is Lei Zhen."

"Don’t panic. Report its energy level and movement speed!"

Farm Manager Lei Zhen. ’So he’s still awake after all.’

Han Feng snapped his head down.

Beneath the night sky, the wheat field was just a blurry, ink-black shadow in his eyes.

But his system-enhanced Extraordinary Perception clearly picked up a terrifying fluctuation that made his skin crawl.

That wasn’t the aura of an ordinary Demon Beast.

It was cold, tyrannical, and astonishingly vast.

’Is this the "big guy" the captain mentioned?’

Far from feeling fear, Han Feng subconsciously licked his lips.

A fanatical gleam ignited in his eyes.

’Showtime.’

’And a big one at that!’

This meant an astronomical amount of Contribution Points!

"Air Patrol One, copy."

Han Feng slammed the throttle forward.

The fighter, which had been circling steadily at high altitude, suddenly nosed down.

Its airframe shrieked as it tore through the sky, diving toward the darkness below.

"Proceeding to the target area."

’Since I’m here, let’s see what’s tougher—you overgrown worm, or my "Flying Sword"!’

In that instant, the empty Potion vials piled up in the cockpit clattered under the terrifying G-forces.

The Qi Blood Han Feng had just replenished transformed into the most ferocious fuel, pouring entirely into the steel behemoth beneath him!

The night was as thick as ink.

Only the flickering green fluorescence of the instrument panel illuminated Han Feng’s taut face.

In his headset, there was only the sharp crackle of static and the watch officer’s ragged breathing from the tower.

"Air Patrol One, target has fully emerged!"

"I repeat, target has fully emerged!"

"It’s... It’s huge!"

Han Feng didn’t need the tower’s warning; he could already see it.

In the very center of Wheat Field One, the flat earth had been violently torn open as if by an invisible, giant hand.

Amidst a cloud of billowing dust, a massive black shadow slowly rose upright.

It was as tall as a three-story building!

The beam of the nose-mounted searchlight swept over it, instantly reflecting a cold, metallic sheen.

It was a creature like a gigantic earthworm.

But its body wasn’t flesh and blood; it was covered in overlapping layers of heavy, black iron armor.

It had no eyes on its head, only a massive, terrifying maw filled with spiraling, ghastly white teeth.

The maw slowly opened and closed under the light, emitting a grating "KAKA" sound that set one’s teeth on edge.

A line of information immediately popped up on the instrument detector.

[Alert: Tier Two Early Stage Demon Beast detected—Black Iron Earth Dragon.]

[Armor Strength: Extremely high. Conventional kinetic weapons will have difficulty penetrating.]

[Weakness Analysis: Inside of mouth, connecting joints of abdominal segments.]

Han Feng felt his scalp go numb.

’Tier Two Early Stage!’

If this thing appeared on a main battlefield, it would take at least a full squad of [Iron Wall] Battle Armor, backed by heavy fire support, to even attempt to encircle and destroy it.

’You call this a "big guy"?’

The corner of Han Feng’s mouth twitched violently.

His palm, gripping the control stick, was already slick with cold sweat.

’This is a goddamn giant!’

"All hands, alert!"

"A Tier Two Demon Beast has appeared!"

Lei Zhen’s roar exploded over the farm’s public channel.

"Iron Armor Camp, deploy immediately!"

"All ground guard units, hold the line! Do not approach Wheat Field One under any circumstances!"

The farm’s internal automated defense turrets were the first to react.

A dense rain of shells showered the Earth Dragon’s armor.

But it was like trying to tickle it.

Aside from a spray of dazzling sparks, they didn’t even leave a white mark.

Han Feng’s gaze sharpened, and he slammed the throttle.

"Gray Donkey, time to work!"

The clumsy support craft carved an artless arc through the air, diving fearlessly toward the beast below.

The distance closed rapidly.

His index finger squeezed the trigger.

THOOM!

THOOM!

THOOM!

The thirty-millimeter machine cannon under the fuselage spat furious tongues of flame.

To test its Defense Power, he had infused these few shells with nearly fifty points of his Qi Blood Power.

However, the shells screamed down and slammed into the Black Iron Earth Dragon’s back armor.

DING DING DANG!

Again, sparks flew everywhere.

The highly concentrated Qi Blood Power only managed to corrode a few insignificant shallow pits into the thick armor.

It was impossible to penetrate!

’Hard as a turtle’s shell.’

Han Feng clicked his tongue.

Lei Zhen’s voice rang out again, tinged with gravity.

"Kid, stop wasting your ammo!"

"Its back armor can take a direct hit from a Battle Armor’s main cannon!"

"Find a way to hit its mouth, or wait for our ground troops to get in position!"

The Black Iron Earth Dragon seemed to feel the itch on its back.

It abruptly threw its head back, its massive maw snapping open.

ROAR!

It didn’t make a sound, but instead violently spewed a stream of murky, yellowish-brown liquid.

The liquid tore through the night sky, shooting straight for him!

[Alert! High-intensity corrosive acid detected! Evade! Evade immediately!]

Inside the cockpit, the shrill alarm was sharp enough to pierce Han Feng’s eardrums.

’Fuck, it spits too!’

Han Feng’s pupils contracted to the size of pinpricks.

But he didn’t choose to make a clumsy ascent to evade.

In a fraction of a second, his brain had completed a terrifying calculation that no mortal could comprehend.

’Trying to give me a facial?’

’Not so easy!’

Instead of pulling up, he slammed the control stick down and stomped on the right rudder pedal!

VROOOOM—

The Gray Donkey’s engine let out a wail, as if it were about to disintegrate!

The support craft, weighing dozens of tons, performed a devilish maneuver that completely defied the laws of physics, right before the horrified eyes of everyone in the watchtower’s monitoring room.

The fuselage abruptly tilted to the right.

Almost ninety degrees, perpendicular to the ground!

Then, it brutally and illogically shifted sideways a full ten-plus meters!

A mid-air lateral drift!

The stream of acid, as thick as a water bucket, grazed past the belly of his craft.

The acid splashed into the distant wheat field.

HISSSS—

A large patch of nearly ripe Purple Crystal Wheat, along with the earth beneath it, was instantly corroded into a huge pit billowing with black smoke.

’If even a drop of that had hit me, the repair fees would’ve come out of my pay.’

Han Feng’s heart pounded wildly, his back drenched in cold sweat.

In the tower’s command room, there was a dead silence.

Lei Zhen stared at the flight path on the monitor, a trajectory so bizarre it seemed to warp the laws of physics.

The cheap cigarette dangling from his lips fell silently to the floor.

"What... the fuck..."

For the first time, a tremor he himself didn’t notice entered the former Heavy Armor Mecha Master’s voice.

"What kind of monster is piloting that thing?"

Just then, a thunderous roar erupted from the ground.

"All units, listen up!"

"Iron Armor Camp, get your asses in gear!"

"Lock down Wheat Field One! Don’t let that damn worm ruin my harvest!"

Accompanied by shrill alarms and rumbling engines, massive steel constructs awakened from their camouflaged hangars inside the farm.

Fifty [Iron Wall-IV] model Battle Armor, each over three meters tall, strode forward with heavy steps, quickly forming a defensive line at the edge of Wheat Field One.

Furthermore, five elite [Storm-II] model Battle Armor, standing 4.5 meters tall, secured the key intersections.

Their cannon muzzles flickered with the dangerous light of Spiritual Power.

"Han Feng!"

Lei Zhen’s voice rang out again, filled with the unquestionable tone of command.

"You son of a bitch, you stay up there and be my goddamn eyes in the sky!"

"Use your searchlight and keep it pinned on that thing for me!"

"Don’t let it burrow back underground!"
