The chains dragged the old man to the execution stand.
Metal scraping against stone.
Each step—A countdown for his death.
At The Execution Stand...
They forced him down. Roughly. And locking him down in it.
His neck exposed—Resting against cold wood.
A position meant for one thing.
His head would be cut off at any moment by a single swing of an axe.
But the old man Didn’t Look at Death but.
The he lifted his gaze. Not at the guards. Not at the blade.
At the people. The same people who stood frozen.
Silent. Broken.
"...."
"...."
"...."
His voice rose as he spoke which every one who had gathered could hear out—Not weak. Not trembling.
But echoed with. Defiant
"Don’t stay here!"
The crowd flinched hearing his words.
Breath caught in their throat. They could feel the weight of a mountain in it they can’t even swallow their own saliva.
"Leave this place—! Or that monster..."
A pause. Heavy.
Because those words were true. While the old man continued with his speech.
"...will consume you. Your children—Your future—All for his hunger."
Meanwhile... The Crowd. No one moved.
But something changed.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Eyes widened. Fear turned—Into realization of all those words were warning they needed to heed.
Behind him—A guard smirked at the blabbering old man.
Dragging the axe slowly—Sharpening it.
-SCREEECH!!!
Metal against stone.
-SCREEECH!!!
A sound that cut deeper than the blade itself.
"Talk all you want..."
He lifted the axe. taking aim to cut down the head.
"...it won’t save you."
The moment everyone froze as. The blade rose.
The crowd stopped breathing their eyes holded desperateness, helplessness and powerlessness.
There is a pin drop silence appeared.
"...."
"...."
"...."
The world narrowed—To a single line.
And within that moment...
Stood Devara. Still. Silent. Hearing all those words.
"...."
But inside his mind—A decision was made
Because this—Was no longer observation. No longer strategy.
This was the line. Which might ignite hope through the peoples heart if he steps in now.
The axe descended.
The crowd closed their eyes.
"...."
"...."
"...."
A scream—Half-formed.
"-Kyaaa!!!"
"-Kyaaa!!!"...
Then—Time slowed. Not for the world.
But For Devara he had enough time.
The bowstring had already been drawn. As the blue energy spiralled to form an arrow.
The world reduced—To lines of energy. To a single path.
🏹 [Śara-Dṛṣṭi Activated...]
Every movement become slow—Every breath become visible—Every weakness could be seen as there is a bight area—Visible.
Then he released. The arrow left his bow.
-TUNG!
Not fast. But Inevitable no matter who its opponet was.
A blue streak of yogic energy—Pierced through the soldier’s chest.
-SWISHHH!!!
The impact. Lifted him. Threw him— Right into the wall.
THUD...
Blood painted a line. Leaving behind a mark of interruption.
While the Axe. Slipped from his hands.
Spun wildly in the air—And landed—Right beside the old man’s face.
-THUD.
Close enough to feel its smell—To feel death.
But not meet it.
Silence. Complete silence.
"...."
"...."
"...."
No one spoke. No one moved.
They couldn’t believe what they saw. The world—Paused.
Then They Saw Him all the eyes moved towards him.
Standing there—Bow still in hand—
Calm. Unshaken.
Looking at his target who was lifeless hanging in the wall like a decoration.
As if what just happened—Was effortless.
While he lowered his Pinakodanda down.
The Crowd Parts immediately.
Without being told—They moved aside.
Creating space.
Because something about him—Demanded it
Finally... The Naga Guards Reacted.
Shock broked. Reality returned.
"Surround him!"
Steel shifted as they summoned their weapons and raised it against Devara.
They hurriedly Encircled him.
One... Five... Ten... Twenty-five.
All around him trying to block any escape route if Devara decided to escape
Their Eyes looked at him who was still seems very calm.
Not just anger. Not just duty.
But Fear Of something unknown.
Because they felt it. That presence. That pressure.
Something not normal about the boy standing before him.
Still.
Bow lowered—But not dismissed.
Breath steady. Eyes calm. As he looked at himself being surrounded.
Because this—Was no longer a rescue.
This was a declaration that there will be always someone who would step in when one needed help. Or Justice.
The guard stepped forward. Voice loud.
Trying to reclaim control.
"Put down your weapon—!"
Devara... complied.
Pinakodanda vanished from his hands as he unsummoned it.
The guards relaxed. Shoulders loosened.
Seeing their enemy lower his weapon.
Even the crowd—Hope flickered... then faltered with disappointment.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Because surrender—Meant nothing changed.
Then—A blur. A flash. Rudhirabhra descended in a parellel line
The guard’s head—Gone. Clean. Effortless. As he turned to give orders to his fellow guards to apprehend the enemy.
Blood sprayed around. Faces frozen in shock.
The body—Still standing.
Still moving. Until it collapsed.
-Thud.
Silence... shattered.
The guards froze caught off guard. The crowd recoiled.
Because this wasn’t surrender.
This was judgment delivered in a hot plate.
Rudhirabhra Awakens. In Devara’s hand—The axe pulsed. Alive. Hungry.
Feeling the numbers they were about to face.
The stronger the enemy. The greater the number.
The more it answered excitedly.
Because it loves battle so much.
The guards rushed forward to attack.
Numbers to overwhelm. Noise. Desperation.
Devara didn’t make any unnecessary movements.
He didn’t need to.
A guard lunged from behind—A blind angle trying to catch Devara off-guard.
Too slow. To really catch him off-guard.
Without even turning—A single swing at his backside.
The Naga Guard who was about to connect his sword on Devara’s back was.
-SWISHHHH!!!
Split in two in a single cut.
Then attacks came at the same time.
Axes. Swords. Multiple angles.
Difficult for someone to avoid it.
But not for Devara. He stepped—Minimal. Precise.
Every attack—Missed. At the last moment.
While Devara’s axe drove upward—Through the chin of one of the guard.
Lifted the guard—Like he weighed nothing.
"...."
And in a Follow-up
A kick—Clean. Direct. Hit at the chest of the Another body of the guard sent flying.
Then he jumped.
Met a guard mid-air—Slashed across the chest
The body—Slammed into the ground.
-THUD.
As Devara landed along with the body while his axe was still embed in that Naga’s guards body.
No wasted movement. No hesitation. No anger.
When ever a guard approaches. Only one thing waiting for them.
Only execution
Meanwhile... The Crowd Watches
Not in fear. Not in confusion.
But in Recognition of someone finally standing for them.
Because this—Wasn’t random violence.
This was controlled destruction aimed at the Naga guards.
Ten had already fallen at the hands of Devara.
Fifteen remained. Desperation took over.
They decided to confront him in their
Their Bodies twisted. Bones shifted.
And Forms expanded. Giant serpents emerged
Massive. Coiled. Fangs bared.
-Hissssss!!! -Hissssss!!!
-Hissssss!!!...
Intended to intimidate him with their presence.
But—They chose the wrong opponent to take this form.
Devara Didn’t React as the way they expected.
No widening eyes. No defensive stance to block their attack. No hesitation to attack.
A serpent lunged—Fast. Violent.
Deciding to bit him down.
Rudhirabhra answered his call.
One arc. Clean. Descended.
Split the serpent mid-motion. Before it could even hiss.
Then—In the same Flow
No pause. No gap.
One became many cuts.
As the crowd could see the arc of Devara’s attack by the blood which seems to be splattering around in the same motion of the cut.
Snake after snake—Dismantled like they were in a butcher shop.
Heads severed. Bodies shredded into small pieces.
Segments falling from the air—Like broken chains.
Suddenly the crowd felt a drops falling on them.
Not water drops. It was a Rain. But with Warm. Heavy. Unforgiving.
As water was replaced by the blood of those
It painted the ground—Red.
But for the crowd who was looking at all this happening before their eyes.
They didn’t look away. They couldn’t.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Because what they saw—Was not slaughter. It was cleansing of the sins in this land.
The same guards who tormented them—Now reduced to pieces—To silence once and for all.
"...."
"...."
"...."
A Shift Occurred. Fear which as been builded for years—Cracked.
Not completely gone. But weakened
Because for the first time—The oppressors were falling.
The Final Serpent guard. Tried to retreat. Instinct taking over.
But it was too late
Devara stepped forward and threw his axe.
In a single Flash of steel. Ended the life of escaping Serpent.
No enemies left. Only pieces of their Serpent body. Only silence.
"...."
"...."
"...."
And a single figure—Standing amidst it all.
Rudhirabhra rested quietly on his sholder.
As if satisfied.
But this Image Burned Into Memory of the crowd.
A blood-soaked teen. Standing before them. Calm. Unshaken. Unstoppable.
While death danced in the square—Something else moved.
Hands. Shaking—But determined.
The crowd—No longer just watching.
They acted to free the old man.
The locks clicked open.
Chains fell.
The old man—Now. Free.
Slowly—He stepped forward.
Each step heavy. Not from weakness—From everything he had lost
His eyes found Devara.
The boy who had stopped his death.
The boy who had turned fear—Into defiance.
His voice trembled—Not from fear. But from something deeper.
"Who... are you?"
A pause.
"...."
"...."
"...."
The entire crowd leaned into silence.
"Why... did you help me?"
They were waiting to hear his answer.
Devara didn’t raise his voice.
Didn’t posture. Didn’t glorify.
He simply—Let go of the weapon
Rudhirabhra vanished from his hands.
Violence ended.
For now. He stepped closer.
Placed a hand—On the old man’s shoulder.
Grounding. Steady. Reassuring And spoke
"I came ...to slay Sarpaasura."
The Words Hit Harder Than Any Blade.
The crowd froze hearing it with their ears.
Eyes widened in realization.
Breaths caught in their throat.
Because that name—Was not spoken lightly.
And Yet... Here stood someone—Who said it without fear.
Devara introduced himself.
"Devara."
Simple. But it echoed.
The old man’s strength gave out. His knees hit the ground.
-Thud.
Not in defeat—But in overwhelming relief
Tears fell. Unrestrained.
As for the crowd. Years of silence—Broken in a moment.
"Someone..."
His voice cracked as he looked around the peoples.
"...has come. To stand for us... To give justice..."
For his daughter. The square trembled. Not from power.
From belief returning to the heart of the residence
Among them. In their heart. Where there was fear—Now—Something else began to rise.
Hope. Fragile. Small. But alive.
And dangerous. Because hope—Leads to action.
Meanwhile...
At Vasuki’s Palace...
The palace that once held calm—Now held tension.
Heavy. Unmoving.
At its center stood two beings—Ancient. Powerful. King Vasuki And his brother—King Shesha
Both of them were seriously discussing.
No raised voices. No anger spilling out.
Because both knew—One wrong move... could cost everything
They had already began their preparation.
Outside—Naga soldiers gathered.
Armor tightened. Weapons checked. Lines forming along the borders.
War was ready to begin at any moment.
But inside the palace—War was being held back.
Vasuki Speaks. His voice was firm. Grounded.
"Deploy the forces. Secure the borders."
A pause.
Then—The Warning As he looked at his brother.
"But do not confront Sarpaasura."
Silence followed.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Because that—Was the hardest command.
His daughter was there. Captured. In danger.
And yet—He held back.
Because rage would only make things worse.
"Devara has already entered his kingdom."
Those words carried weight.
Not hope alone—Certainty.
Shesha has been informed about Lord Shiva sending his son Devara to deal with Sarpaasura.
Stood silent. Eyes narrowed.
Mind calculating. He understood.
Better than most if he acts he might be putting his and his brother’s daughter in danger.
Their Strength Was Their Weakness Here
Killing Sarpaasura—Would not end him. It would evolve him.
So restraint became their weapon.
Shesha gave a slow nod.
-Nod
"Understood."
No argument. No hesitation.
Because this—Was not a battle for strength. But for precision who will first make the wrong move.
