One moment—He was questioning existence.

Next—Leaves.

Currently he was being bathed by leaves shower.

Everywhere. On his head. On his shoulders.

Even one perfectly placed on his nose.

The Shiva Ganas. Were in full celebration mode.

As if they were having a blast.

"More leaves! No no, balance it! He needs decoration!"

They circled him—Like artists who had discovered their canvas.

Devara sat there. On the lap of Lord Shiva.

"...."

Blinking slowly.

Trying to process—Cosmic identity crisis... and as soon as he opened his eyes the next attack happened. Leaf-based assault.

His eyes shifted. To the corner.

There—Stood Ganesha trunk slightly raised.

Eyes gleaming. A smirk so subtle—Yet so guilty.

-Gleam! -Smirk!

Devara narrowed his eyes slightly.

’...I knew it.’

That’s when—Goddess Parvati. Stepped in.

"Enough."

Not loud. Not harsh. But absolute.

As soon as she spoke. The ganas froze.

Then slowly backed away.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Still excited—But now whispering instead of shouting.

Parvati turned to Devara. Who was covered in leaves.

For which she found it cute.

Her eyes softened. Not as a goddess.

But as a mother—Seeing her child overwhelmed.

She cupped his cheek gently.

"You have many questions."

A faint smile.

"We will answer them. When the time is right."

Her voice lowered—Gentle. Certain. As that time will definitely come.

"For now... Know this. You are our son."

No complexity. No explanation. Just truth.

She glanced at the ganas—Who were now pretending to behave.

Badly.

"They are... energetic."

A small amused sigh.

-Sigh!

"But not bad. They will play with you."

Her fingers lightly pressed his cheeks—Warm. Real.

Behind him—Lord Shiva

Gave a light pat on his head.

Casual.

Almost like this was all normal.

"Training begins tomorrow."

No drama. No grand speech.

Just a statement.

"Today... Spend time here. Get familiar."

Devara didn’t get time to think.

"...."

Because he got dragged.

Not politely escorted. Not gently guided.

Dragged.

By an overexcited squad of Shiva Ganas1

"Come! Come! We’ll show everything!"

"This way!"

"No, THIS way!"

He barely kept his footing as they pulled him across Kailash

Behind them walked Ganesha

Clearly satisfied with the chaos he engineered.

And beside him—Kartikeya

Still watching. Still suspicious. About Ganesha who was connected to earlier chaos.

They showed him everything—Sacred groves glowing with quiet energy.

Streams that shimmered like liquid light.

Training grounds carved into the mountain itself.

"This is where we fight!"

"This is where we eat!"

"This is where we accidentally broke things!"

Devara blinked hearing the last gana’s words.

"...accidentally?"

They avoided eye contact.

Feeling embarrassed to explain further.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Behind him—Ganesha’s trunk curled again. Making plans for his next move on pranks for his new brother.

Kartikeya leaned slightly closer to Devara.

"You’re going to need patience."

Devara sighed as he was being once again pulled here and there by Shiv Ganas.

-Sigh!

"I already feel that."

Suryaloka...1

Far from Kailash—In Suryaloka

The atmosphere was heavy.

Not chaotic. Not warm. But tense.

On his throne sat Lord Suryadev1

Before him—A gathering rarely seen.

Yama1

Shani1

Yami1

Ashwini Kumaras1

And others couldn’t come because—Bound not just by blood—But by consequence.

Lord Surya spoke. Measured. Heavy.

"I have a son."

Silence fell.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Not shock—But in anticipation.

Then—

"He lives in Bhuloka. As a mortal."

A pause.

"His name... is Karna."

Then Lord Surya told them everything of what happened.

And the reason he couldn’t reveal his identity is because of the curse he received from his second wife Chhaya.

During the birth of Shani.

Yama couldn’t take it. His grip tightened.

"Bring her to me."

His voice was cold.

"Now."

The memory of Kunti

Burned in his mind. He had blessed her with a child due to Sage Durvasa’s boon.

He never thought that kind women was a big adharmi.1

A child abandoned. A blessing betrayed and turned to a curse for the child.

Meanwhile...

Shani. Head lowered. Hands clenched.

He said nothing.

"...."

Because he understood. Too well. Abandonment.

It wasn’t a concept to him. It was memory.

His own father once did to him.

But even through karma is returning. He felt pity for his little brother.

Yami. Anger flickered openly.

"How could she...?"

As for Sandhya & Chhaya. Their voices rose together—

"Bring him here."

"We will raise him."

"He deserves that."

Lord Surya raised his hand.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Silence returned.

"No."

Firm. Final.

"His destiny lies in Bhuloka. He must walk it."

Then—His tone shifted. Softer. More uncertain.

"He is now connected..."

A pause.

The Name Even He Cannot See.

"...to Devaratha."

The room stilled again.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Because even Surya—Could not see through his destiny.

While everyone looked curious. Except one Yami who looked shocked with wide eyes.

After speaking of destiny...

After revealing Karna...

Surya

Suddenly turned his gaze.

Not toward Yama. Not toward Shani.

But toward one person Yami.

His voice was calm. But precise.

"Yami..."

A pause.

"Did you know Devara... before?"

The question landed. Hard.

Because it wasn’t random.

"When I descended... He was wearing your pearl chain."

Silence.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Then—All Eyes Turn. Simultaneously.

Every gaze in the court—Locked onto her.

Yami froze. Just for a second.

"...."

But in a divine court—A second is enough.

’Oh no... He noticed...’

She straightened. Coughed lightly.

-Cough!

Tried to sound casual.

"I—well—It was just... A blessing. Nothing more."

And then—Without waiting—She turned. And walked away.

Quickly. A little too quickly.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Silence returned.

Then—Everyone stared.

Not at Surya. Not at each other.

At the direction she left.

All of them came to an unspoken agreement.

’...yeah.’

’Sure.’

’Just a blessing.’

Yama’s Expression was. Flat. Judging.

"That was not ’nothing’."

Shani’s Still looking down silently—But even he—Understood.

"...."

Surya exhaled slowly. Not angry. Not surprised. Just... aware of the new potential relationship.

-Sigh!

If she had given the same answer calmly he would have believed it.

"So... Even she..."

His gaze drifted slightly as if he was thinking whether it was good or bad for his daughter.

Yami’s Chamber...

Inside her chamber—A small fountain flowed.

Soft. Endless.

Like thoughts that refused to settle in her head.

Yami sat beside it. Watching the water.

"...."

But not really seeing it she was in thought.

"It was just a blessing..."

Her own words echoed back.

And even she—Didn’t believe them.

When she gave that pearl chain—She had thought at that time:

’A blessing. A connection. A way to watch... The interesting things he does.’

And she had watched.

His journey. His growth.

His fight against the rakshasa.

The One Thing She Missed which caught her off guard.

But not—His confrontation with Lord Indra. Her fingers tightened slightly.

’...If I had seen that ...I wouldn’t have come unprepared.’

Then came the thought—The one she couldn’t ignore.

’Why did I panic?’

That moment—In the court. Her reaction was very suspicious.

Her movements were. Too fast. Too obvious.

She sighed as she scolded herself.

"Careless... I lost composure..."

And now—Everyone noticed and must have misunderstood.

’They definitely misunderstood...’

She rubbed her forehead lightly.

Not angry. Just... annoyed at herself.

Behind her—Two figures entered.

Soft steps. No announcement needed for them to enter her room.

Sandhya And Chhaya

As soon as they entered they saw Yami who looks very absent minded.

Exchanged a glance.

"...."

"...."

That silent, universal look—

’Yeah... she’s thinking about it.’

They stepped closer. Still unnoticed by the absent minded Yami.

Because Yami—Was far away in thought.

"Yami."

She flinched slightly. Snapping out of her thought. Turned. And blinked.

"Mother...?"

Sandhya smiled softly.

Chhaya watched more carefully.

They have came here to talk about Devara and know more about him.

"This boy... Devara."

A pause.

"He is connected to Karna."

Their tone wasn’t suspicious.

Not accusing. Just... curious. They have a feeling Karna’s fate is tied to him.

"You knew him. Didn’t you? So tell us about him."

Yami looked at them. Then away.

"..."

Then back again.

Because unlike the court—She couldn’t walk away here.

Before her two mothers one who gave birth to her and the another who raised her.

Yami

Took a slow breath.

No more dodging. No more half-answers.

"I... did see him before."

Her voice steadied as she spoke.

"The first time ...was through Indra’s Maya screen at his royal court."

As explained what happened when Indra came to know Sage Durvasa was currently doing.

A forest. Still. Silent. Before the banks of river Ganga.

Where Sage Durvasa. Sat in deep meditation.

And then—Rambha And Menaka

Danced. Graceful. Enchanting.

But not innocent.

They had come to break his penance.

And it didn’t worked.

Out of nowhere—A boy. Riding a crocodile.

Clapping his hands excitedly appeared.

"That was nice!"

The absurdity alone—Was enough to pause fate itself.

At the same moment slowly—Durvasa’s eyes opened.

Anger rising. A curse ready.

Then he understood those two were here to disturb him.

He got angry and was about to curse

Before the curse could fall—Devara stepped in.

Not scared. Not hesitant.

"Why curse them?"

"Why curse the arrow when you can curse the bow?"

The room stilled slightly as Yami spoke those words again.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Because even now—They carried weight.

"Indra."

Who always use this loophole to wash his hands away from the curses.

That moment—Changed everything.

Durvasa’s anger shiftedto Indra. And he got cursed instead.

The truth surfaced.

And soon after—Then both Goddess Ganga and Goddess Bhudevi were confronting Indra angrily.

"That’s when I learned... He was the son of Goddess Ganga and Goddess Bhudevi."

She stopped. Just for a second.

Because—She didn’t mentioned what happened next.

How she met him personally

How she gave the pearl chain

Why she stayed connected due to her curiosity.

Some truths... Were still hers.

Sandhya And Chhaya. Exchanged a look.

Not shocked. Not confused.

But impressed by what they had just heard.

"He stopped Sage Durvasa ...from cursing?"

A faint smile.

"That alone ...is not something even gods do lightly."

They didn’t see recklessness.

They saw—Clarity

A child who could. See through manipulation. Speak truth without fear.

Stand before power without bending.

Sandhya. Tilted her head slightly. Gentle. But precise.

"Then... how did you meet him?"

That was all it took.

Just one question. And—Yami

Paused. Too briefly for most. Too clearly for mothers.

"...."

"At... my riverbank."

Her voice was steady. Almost.

"I was curious about him. So... I gave him the pearl chain."

Simple. Clean. Too Clean.

Because real stories—Are never that smooth.

"...."

"...."

Chhaya glanced at Sandhya. And Sandhya—Looked back at her.

No words exchanged. None needed.

Silent Conversation was taking place between them through their eyes.

"There’s more."

"She’s hiding it."

"Do we push?"

A pause.

Then—They didn’t. They decided not to.

Not because they didn’t notice. But because they understood.

Some truths are like rivers

They reveal themselves—Only when they are ready.

Yami felt it. That look from her mothers. That knowing silence.

"...."

"...."

"...."

But they didn’t question further.

And somehow—That made it worse.

Because now—The truth remained with her

Unchallenged. Unspoken. For now.
