There was no choice but to run.
The time Leon spent taking down the giant green Slime—and the regular green Slimes that had merged into it—was enough for the rest of the swarm to close in on him. If he didn’t move fast, he’d be buried under a tide of bouncing green bodies.
Of course, running didn’t mean Leon’s hands were idle. Any Slime that drew too close was met with a single slash.
Not a single green Slime could withstand that slash. Whether the Galaxy Watermelon Knife struck squarely or only grazed part of its body, the result was always the same—it snuffed out the Slime’s life force in an instan
It was, after all, a Galaxy weapon. Even if it looked like a knife meant for cutting watermelon, it was still a Galaxy weapon.
Before forging with special materials at the Volcano Forge, Galaxy weapons were already the most powerful armaments in this world. If such a weapon couldn’t take down a green Slime in one blow, Leon might as well toss the Galaxy Watermelon Knife into the kitchen and use it as a sturdy Chinese cleaver.
After several rounds of darting in and out of danger, Leon finally had a chance to catch his breath.
During that time, he had to keep moving at high speed, dodge every charging green Slime, and still manage to slice them mid-dodge. The strain on his stamina was no joke.
Still, it wasn’t for nothing. Now, within Leon’s field of vision, there wasn’t a single Slime left on this floor. He’d emerged without a scratch—aside from the heavy stamina drain—and had neatly “reunited” the entire Slime family in spirit.
