Chapter 575: Champion, Now I Am Too
Lu Ye’s coat fluttered in the wind as he looked up at Arceus, whose golden wheel radiated brilliantly.
It hovered in the sky, its eyes hiding anger and sorrow, silently watching this insignificant human.
In Teacher Lu’s mind echoed the prophecy from Arceus of a parallel timeline.
This crossing of time and space had earned Teacher Lu a chance.
A chance to prove... the mutual trust between humans and Pokémon.
The wind swept through the ruined relics.
Lu Ye’s gaze landed on the battered Darkrai, who was panting heavily, struggling to maintain its aloof demeanor.
The dirt-smudged Mew floated on the platform, still cheerfully sneaking a smile;
Behind it, Dialga knelt half-collapsed, its diamond-like head bowed in exhaustion;
Palkia was scarred, Giratina’s wings torn open, and Regigigas’ metallic body severely damaged... Lu Ye’s eyes passed over Cynthia’s tired smile, the much aged Liu Bo, and the serious, silent Giovanni.
“Arceus,” Lu Ye said directly, “I’m here to negotiate terms!”
Everyone’s eyes fell on this lone trainer, like a banner flying in the wind.
A glimmer appeared in Cynthia’s eyes, A-Jin clenched his teeth stepping forward, but Liu Bo stopped him with his cane.
“Believe him,” Xiao Yin whispered beside them.
After a half-minute of silence, Lu Ye and Arceus locked eyes. Suddenly, a noise arose from the nearby ruins.
“We want to help too, Meow!”
The trio exchanged looks, bursting out of the ruins, squeaking chaotically as they rushed toward Arceus!
“Team Rocket?” Ash’s eyes widened.
Musashi looked like a fierce Abra, while James ran shouting, “Musashi, Double-Edge!”
Meowth perched atop Wobbuffet’s head, waving its not-so-sharp claws: “Don’t attack the boss (meaning the officer), Meow!”
“Soooo~~ Nanshi!!”
The sudden appearance of the trio caught everyone completely off guard.
This scene looked familiar, Lu Ye was stunned, recalling the trio fearlessly charging at poachers.
Even villains have precious things they want to protect.
A warmth bloomed in Lu Ye’s chest—he’d raise their salaries once this was over...
Arceus’ eyes flickered;
the human’s fearless faith had moved it countless times over millennia.
It kept its promise, staring intently at Lu Ye. Before the trio could get close, a wave of psychic power lifted them, dumping them on the ground with a thud.
‘I will give you a chance.’
Arceus’ voice echoed in Lu Ye’s heart.
The Arceus of the parallel timeline influenced this one, but deep anger still remained unresolved.
At some moment,
Giovanni stood behind Lu Ye, Liu Bo pushed forward in his wheelchair, and Cynthia crossed her arms as her black coat fluttered.
“This isn’t something you gave me.”
Lu Ye said, “It’s something we all created together.”
Giratina flapped its wings and rose, Palkia and Dialga stood, forming an ancient triangular totem.
Darkrai’s form flickered, its cold gaze hovering over Lu Ye’s shadow stretching at his feet.
Behind Lu Ye, a rumbling vibrated as an ancient giant slowly rose, towering under the dim eclipse.
“Mew~~ ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ*)” Mew let out an ill-timed cheerful laugh.
Arceus floated silently, wrapped in its radiant wheel.
Humans are greedy, cunning, cowardly... how have they earned Pokémon’s trust?
Its gaze passed over a black-haired youth surrounded by gods with deep incomprehension.
Perhaps, I can find the answer in him.
A hemispherical mist rose near Arceus.
Lu Ye’s figure was gradually enveloped, fading into it.
Cynthia reached out to touch the barrier but was pushed back by an invisible force, frowning deeply.
“That’s the Temporal Rift created by Arceus.”
Palkia said, “Only humans recognized by it can enter.”
“Recognized humans?”
Ash suddenly looked up, an idea dawning as he exchanged a glance with Pikachu on his shoulder.
We must help Teacher Lu!
Ash rushed toward the barrier without hesitation.
His speed was so fast that no one had time to react.
Ripples spread across the barrier, swallowing Ash.
Giovanni frowned slightly;
James’ expression changed: “The kid disappeared too!”
“Come on, kid!” Musashi shouted, pumping her fist.
“Let him feel the full force of Thunderbolt, Meow!”
“Soooo~~ Nanshi!!”
“Quiet.”
The trio immediately fell silent. Giovanni frowned, “What is this principle exactly...”
“I think it’s the three humans who crossed time and space and gained Arceus’ recognition.”
A tired voice came from behind—the shrine guardian Sina, holding a stone tablet and wiping off dust.
“This tablet originally recorded my ancestors’ betrayal... now it honors three revered heroes. They must have successfully moved Arceus!”
“This already defies the laws of time and space.”
Cynthia rested her slender hand on her chin, eyes flickering: “Transcendence, the laws of time and space... could this be the meaning of transcendent power?”
Three heroes... Xiao Yin frowned tightly.
“Looks like it’s my turn.”
A-Jin stretched his arms, grinning, “Leave it to me!”
“No Celebi this time.”
Xiao Yin stared at A-Jin, speaking deliberately, his breath slightly unsteady: “If you act rashly...”
“I want to understand that guy’s heart more.”
A-Jin patted Xiao Yin’s shoulder firmly, expression serious: “I’ll help Teacher Lu bring that guy back to reason!”
He slung a billiard cue over his shoulder, goggles on his forehead, and smiled at Xiao Yin:
“Let’s come back victorious, partner!”
Xiao Yin froze, looking down, red hair hiding his expression.
After a long moment, he raised his head and smiled faintly, “No problem.”
The boy in the baseball cap grinned, holding the billiard cue, with an Ambipom on his backpack, gradually disappearing into the white mist.
On the battered battlefield, Giovanni sat leaning against a collapsed wall, hands on his knees, smiling:
“So this is... the spirit of the Pokédex Holders that Professor Oak spoke of?”
Even in the face of an unseeable Arceus, some stood firm before the gods, some resolutely rushed to battle.
The spirit of the Pokédex Holders symbolized faith in struggle and courage, never fading even before legendary disasters.
Liu Bo closed his eyes, recalling A-Jin’s cynical grin.
At that moment, ‘Gold the Fifth’s’ gaze was more serious than ever.
“As long as that kid gets serious,” Liu Bo said, “he can definitely do it.”
Cynthia looked into the distance, arms crossed, asking Palkia:
“Where does Arceus reside?”
“Between Origins, connecting Spear Pillar and the Sacred Capital Ruins,” Palkia replied.
“Good.” Cynthia nodded slightly.
“If they don’t return...”
Her elegant, gentle smile masked sharp, glowing eyes beneath golden hair.
“I will go to the Between Origins.”
...
Between Origins.
The temple rose with towering marble pillars and long steps stretching to the highest platform.
Arceus stood at the top, snow-white body, golden wheel called the Thousand Universe Arm behind its back.
It looked disdainfully at the three humans below the stairs.
Brilliant white light flashed in the temple, all Poké Balls opened, the little ones fiercely defending their trainers.
Haunter, Sylveon, Blastoise, Arcanine, Togepi, Sirfetch’d, Rotom, Larvitar.
Lu Ye stood in the center of the little ones, looking at the sorrowful Arceus:
“Tell us more about yourself, Arceus.”
A-Jin grinned, followed by Tail Boy, Explosion Boy, and Togebro... he pointed his cue at Arceus:
“Let us help you once more, Arceus!”
Ash carried Pikachu on his shoulder, eyes sincere.
“Arceus, I’ve seen Pokémon as lost as you.”
“They doubted their own existence from birth, wanting to destroy everything, even themselves.”
Ash spread his arms and shouted, “It’s called Mewtwo. It later lived alongside humans, Arceus!”
“Humans and Pokémon aren’t enemies. We can trust each other and live together!!”
Arceus’ eyes flickered, hiding hatred and disappointment.
Then, it closed its eyes and questioned like a soul:
‘What do Pokémon mean to you?’
“Partners.”
Ash answered without hesitation.
That stormy, lightning-filled night, he blocked a flock of Spearow with his arm, Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt.
“Partners who share life.” Ash said, “Pikachu and I are such important partners!!”
“Pikachu!!”
“Professor Oak already asked me once.”
A-Jin wiped his nose, gaze focused: “Comrades.”
Explosion Boy’s neck blazed with flames, Togebro’s eyes were sharp, Tail Boy clenched its fists on A-Jin’s shoulder!
A-Jin stood among the Pokémon, gripping his cue, putting on goggles.
“We’ve been through countless battles, growing and strengthening together. We’re life-and-death comrades!”
Lu Ye closed his eyes.
Scenes flashed through his mind.
‘What do Pokémon mean to you?’
The terror when first meeting Haunter, the relief of capturing the proud Sylveon, the satisfaction of gaining Blastoise.
The honest Arcanine, the adorable Togepi, and Sirfetch’d who resembled him the most...
Little Rotom and Larvitar were still struggling with electric bills and food money, like he always had the next batch of bills waiting.
Lu Ye smiled slightly.
“Gengar!” Haunter bared its teeth, glaring at Arceus.
“Sylveon!” Sylveon stood fiercely in front of Lu Ye without a trace of fear.
“Blastoise...” The buffs had stacked, the cannon’s chill gleamed sharply, aiming at Arceus.
Arcanine lowered on all fours, snarling fiercely, Togepi mimicked its brother’s expression: “Chajiduyi! (╬◣д◢)”
Ducklett neither cried nor retreated. Its mind was like still water, nearly drowned by intense fear.
Sirfetch’d silently stepped to the front, gaze sharp as a brave knight’s, piercing the divine spear, an unbreakable shield!
Honor, humility, courage, sacrifice... never refusing a worthy challenger, never turning its back on the enemy!
Arceus’ eyes wavered slightly as it heard Lu Ye speak slowly.
“They are my family.”
Lu Ye said, “I always avoid letting them get hurt, but sometimes fighting is necessary.”
Using battles shared between trainer and Pokémon.
To prove mutual trust to Arceus!
“Battle me!” Lu Ye shouted, “Arceus!!”
The ground rumbled, the ancient deity awoke from the human’s provocation, rising from the platform bathed in glowing spheres, slowly smiling.
‘I accept your challenge, human.’
A raging hurricane rose inside the temple, tornadoes destroyed rows of marble pillars, rolling toward Lu Ye and the others.
Pikachu and Togebro flanked from the sides;
Ash shouted, “Pikachu, Thunderbolt!”
“Pika—chu!!”
Lightning erupted, breaking through the tornado and striking Arceus on the platform, surrounding it with electric light.
Togebro dashed through afterimages, charging headlong at Arceus!!
“Blastoise—”
Lu Ye’s Keystone shone white, a tidal wave of aura surged through the temple, his coat flared on both sides.
“Mega Evolution!!”
Their bond turned to rainbow light as the evolution glow rose.
Majestic power burst forth, cracking the platform floor. Mega Blastoise’s two cannons merged into one, its eyes glowing fierce red!
“Blastoise, full power Hydro Pump!!”
Surging aura whipped up a fierce wind, Mega Blastoise’s ability, Mega Launcher, charged fully!
A brief charge.
Blastoise raised its dark cannon, Hydro Pump roared toward Arceus like thunder rolling through silent horses!
The raging water column shattered the tornado, Arceus, wrapped in Thunderbolt, was pushed back half a step by the water’s force, dazzling electricity flashing throughout the temple!
When the electric light faded, Arceus smoked black, its wounds nearly healed instantly through self-regeneration.
‘This alone is not enough to earn my approval.’ Its eyes turned icy cold.
“Explosion Boy.” A-Jin pointed his cue, “Blast Burn!”
“Roar!!” Typhlosion inhaled deeply, flames on its neck shot up dozens of feet, heat swept the field, and a torrent of fire surged forth!
The pillars roared as the fire pillar blasted Arceus’ barrier!
“Togebro, now’s your chance!”
“Boke!! (╬◣д◢)” Togebro burst through a cloud of smoke, charging straight at Arceus!
Arceus’ barrier was like a copper wall, or a layer of water film, rippling and bouncing Togebro away.
It crashed through several marble pillars, falling awkwardly to the ground, and smiled toward Togepi:
“Boke! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧”
“Chajiduyi~ヾ(◍°∇°◍)ノ゙”
Togepi used Helping Hand.
Togebro roared fiercely, as if empowered by the gods, flapping its wings and soaring angrily!
Air Slash repeatedly cut at Arceus’ barrier, clanging sparks flying.
Lu Ye stood behind the light screen gathered by Sylveon, their gazes met.
“Moonblast!”
“Bui! (艹皿艹)”
Sylveon leapt up, silver light rising from its ribbon, a Moonblast exploded on Arceus!!
Boom!!!
The barrier shattered for the first time in this trial;
losing the fairy-type stone tablet was a significant hindrance for Arceus.
It slowly raised its eyes;
the Hydro Pump surged in. Its golden foreleg tapped the void, instantly teleporting it above the temple!
The Hydro Pump exploded against the wall, piercing a huge hole.
Boom!!
The temple trembled;
Arceus said coldly: ‘My turn, human.’
Light flared brightly;
behind it rose an unbearable white glow, Judgment Light Shards shot out like raindrops!!
Explosions continuously rang, pillars and walls shattered.
Rocks rained down on Arcanine, its huge body bleeding profusely.
“Awooo!” Arcanine, thick-skinned, looked back at Lu Ye with a crooked smile.
A-Jin was blown away by the strong aftershock, lying in the rubble with blood dripping from his temple.
“Serious Boy, Sunny Day!!”
Sunflora’s leaves stretched, bright sunlight rose above the temple, Typhlosion’s flames flared more fiercely.
Arcanine’s wounds quickly healed under Morning Sun.
Sirfetch’d’s sword tip gathered white light, extending continuously to form a giant energy blade tens of meters long!
Lu Ye said coldly, “Sirfetch’d, Solar Blade!!”
“Gah!!” Sirfetch’d swung the huge blade fiercely, slashing directly at Arceus, which had no way to evade!!
Boom!!!
Dust rose as Arceus reappeared, its eyes glowing scarlet.
The deep hatred hidden in Arceus surged again.
Its golden foreleg tapped once, ripples spread around, instantly tossing Togebro away!
The ripples continued toward Lu Ye and the others, where a Mega Blastoise wearing sunglasses stood on the front line.
“Kame!” Blastoise took a deep breath, tossed off its sunglasses, eyes glowing red.
It stretched out its hands to block;
the ripples tore at its strong defense, its hind legs deeply plowing the ground.
Crack!
The shell cracked with multiple fractures;
Mega Blastoise was surrounded by white light, roaring furiously!
“Kame!!”
Its back cannon fired a blue Aura Sphere, colliding with the ripples.
The shockwave tossed Blastoise aside, smashing marble pillars one after another!
Pikachu stood in the attack’s aftermath, completely unprepared.
“Danger!!” Ash leapt forward, grabbing Pikachu, blocking the shockwave’s impact with sheer force!
A moment of silence fell;
Ash rolled over two or three times holding Pikachu, collapsing on the ground.
Lu Ye’s pupils shrank.
Ash turned his head, teeth clenched in pain, shouting, “I-I’m fine!”
Lu Ye: “...”
Your endurance is even higher than my Blastoise’s?!
Blastoise’s shell cracked deeply, leaning against wall rubble, blood trickling from its mouth.
“Kame...” Blastoise coldly stared at Arceus, taking out a Revival Root from its pouch, defiantly chewing it right in front of Arceus!
If you can hit me before I finish all the medicine, I’ll admit defeat!!
‘Next time, I won’t hold back.’ Arceus’ eyes turned icy cold.
A deep pressure weighed on Lu Ye’s heart.
But it wasn’t without a solution.
Resolve the hatred, bring Arceus back to reason, or let it fall into slumber...
“Can we buy time?” Lu Ye asked A-Jin.
A-Jin wiped the blood from his forehead, gripping his cue, gazing at Arceus with bloodshot eyes.
“Yes.” He nodded firmly.
I must... find an opportunity.
Even if I can’t find one... I must create it!
“Togebro!” A-Jin looked at the battered Togebro, grinning fiercely, “Can you still fight?”
“Boke!!” Togebro glanced at Togepi, signaling it could do anything!
“Then—”
A-Jin mounted Togebro, looking toward Arceus, “We’ll go together!!”
A figure dashed through the temple air—A-Jin on Togebro, charging straight at Arceus.
Lu Ye looked up, their eyes met;
he saw A-Jin nod vigorously.
I believe in you, Teacher Lu.
You can bring Arceus back to reason... even if it costs great risk and sacrifice.
But you can do it because you are Teacher Lu!
“Togebro, crush Arceus!!” A-Jin shouted grandly.
“Boke???”
Question marks floated above Togebro’s head.
Out of the corner of his eye, Togebro saw Togepi on the ground and flapped angrily: “Boke!!”
For my sister, maybe I can even crush Arceus!!
Arceus’ eyes reflected the fearless boy charging forward.
Its eyes turned scarlet, back light flared, Judgment Light Shards fired at Togebro in volleys.
The shards shot toward Togebro, which suddenly turned into red light and flew back into its Poké Ball. A-Jin fell straight from the sky.
In A-Jin’s pupils reflected the missed Judgment Light Shards, a brilliant explosion blossomed in midair.
He made a face at Arceus: “Lue!”
A-Jin fell straight down, his black hair fluttering with the wind!
“A-Jin senior!” Ash shouted, “Quick, switch Pokémon!”
“You’re crazy!!” Lu Ye said, “Arcanine, Extreme Speed, go catch him!”
Arceus looked at where the attack missed, then down at the falling A-Jin.
Its golden foreleg tapped the air, the god-speed Arcanine was firmly restrained, and A-Jin slammed hard onto the ground, coughing up blood!
‘You deceived me, human.’
Arceus’ eyes glowed scarlet.
‘You don’t trust your comrades, placing hope on another human.’
A-Jin lay battered on the ground, barely breathing, his injuries severe.
“I don’t distrust them.”
A-Jin wiped his mouth, eyes sharp, “On the contrary, I trust them completely.”
“This is... the only chance I can create!”
He took out the Poké Ball holding Togebro, inside which Togebro was cursing loudly.
When its gaze fell nearby, it saw Togepi and immediately quieted, tears rolling down its cheeks.
Togepi’s eyes shimmered faintly.
Understanding this scene was still somewhat difficult for it.
“Chajiduyi...”
It lowered its head in grievance, then lifted it resolutely, its finger glowing with Metronome!
Meanwhile,
Haunter emerged from behind Arceus, the light of Hypnosis falling on Arceus!
Arceus frowned slightly, ripples spreading around it, blocking out the light.
“Failed?” A-Jin looked at Lu Ye.
Lu Ye was silent, watching the light rising from Togepi’s finger, his gaze flickering.
“Failed, but not completely.”
A very gentle melody rose in the temple—the power gathered by Togepi’s Metronome.
The tune was extremely familiar, able to make one forget their hatred and immerse in the melody.
A move that could put opponents to sleep, “Grass Whistle”!
A hazy green light rose;
Ash suddenly recalled:
“This is the melody from the White Poplar Town clock tower, Oración?!”
Togepi had recorded this tune in White Poplar Town and was using Grass Whistle again!
The melody surrounded the temple, Arceus’ scarlet gaze flickered faintly as it looked at Lu Ye.
‘Your Togepi trusts you deeply.’
“I know.” Lu Ye smiled slightly, “Otherwise it wouldn’t be able to pull off Hypnosis.”
With the sound of the grass whistle, Oración’s melody flowed quietly, Arceus’ scarlet eyes gradually faded.
‘However.’
A strong pressure suddenly rose in Lu Ye’s heart.
‘My feelings toward humans are not only anger.’
Its gaze was deep, focusing on Lu Ye.
The sorrow in Arceus’ eyes nearly transmitted itself.
‘Keep fighting.’
It said, ‘Hypnosis won’t work on me. You can give up now.’
Lu Ye’s chest tightened with a stifling feeling—an unreachable despair facing a god.
Was this trial’s failure already predetermined?
“Teacher Lu!”
A-Jin coughed and shouted, “I have one more tactic!!”
Lu Ye suddenly looked up, their gazes met, resting on the Poké Ball in A-Jin’s hand that had not been thrown.
He had just recalled Togebro but hadn’t sent out another Pokémon—
That tactic was...
The temple rumbled, large chunks of debris fell from above, and Between Origins began collapsing.
Arceus looked down arrogantly, floating high in the sky, an overwhelming pressure surrounding the area.
Judgment Light Shards fired out, the temple crumbled, rocks fell toward Ash.
“Pikachu!” Pikachu swung its Iron Tail, smashing the falling rocks!
A-Jin’s Whimsicott and Explosion Boy braced their bodies against the dazzling shards, groaning in pain.
‘Why do you deserve this?’
Arceus’ eyes filled with disappointment and sorrow.
‘This human doesn’t even trust you!!’
Amid the rumbling, Lu Ye looked at the fallen A-Jin.
“I...”
Blood dripped from his mouth, he smiled roguishly, trembling hands tightly gripping a Poké Ball, as if about to throw it.
“Trust, my comrades!”
Arceus sensed a crisis.
Beyond time and space, it saw the scene seconds ahead.
A-Jin threw the Poké Ball containing an extremely dangerous tactic!
Arceus raised its head, letting out a sharp cry!
A halo enveloped A-Jin, the surrounding time and space stopped, and his throwing motion froze!
“I never planned to go on a solo mission.”
A-Jin’s voice was broken by the chaotic time, his form gradually becoming transparent.
Arceus heard his harsh laugh:
“Because... I’m just bait!”
Its eyes suddenly widened.
An Ambipom stood on A-Jin’s broken goggles and backpack, tears streaming down.
It gripped the billiard cue tightly with its tail, striking the Poké Ball containing Togebro out!
Bang!!
“After teaching for so long, Teacher Lu, I haven’t learned other tactics.”
A-Jin’s figure trembled in the chaotic time and space, raising a finger in salute: “But, I have a tactic I’m good at.”
His voice grew faint as the Poké Ball flew through the air from the cue. Lu Ye heard A-Jin’s resolute words:
“From now on, it’s in your hands, Teacher Lu!!”
His figure gradually disappeared, passing the precious chance to Lu Ye.
Arceus could not freeze time repeatedly in an instant, its gaze showing a trace of hesitation.
This human... trusted his comrades and partners with his life!
Snap!!
Lu Ye reached out and caught the Poké Ball struck by Tail Boy!
Inside the Poké Ball, Togebro was weeping heavily, surrounded by lingering energy.
Lu Ye’s pupils trembled as he gripped the Poké Ball tightly.
A-Jin’s tactic—
High-speed movement, Nasty Plot, Chlorophyll... Lu Ye sensed the strong will of Togebro, its comrades, and A-Jin converging.
Lu Ye suddenly threw the Poké Ball, red light appearing in the air, voice sharp:
“Relay Baton!!!”
The anthem of humanity is the anthem of courage.
Even facing chaotic time and space, battling on a collapsing world against Arceus,
Trainers and Pokémon fight to the last moment.
“Boke!! (╬◣д◢)”
Togebro flapped its wings, a fierce wind blowing as it stared down Arceus!!
A powerful emotional force trembled Arceus.
The sadness in its eyes gradually vanished as it looked bewildered at this human.
Lu Ye’s black hair fluttered in the wind, his gaze sharp, gathering intense conviction.
Togebro turned into red light and flew back into the Poké Ball.
Carrying everyone’s will, a towering aura rose from Lu Ye’s shadow at his feet.
Haunter slowly emerged from beneath Lu Ye, its mind nearly merged with his.
The power and emotion passed through “Relay Baton” formed a shining bridge, as if able to transcend time and space.
“Champion.”
Lu Ye’s eyes were clear, bearing responsibility and commitment.
“Now I am one too.”
Lu Ye raised his hand to the sky, eyes sharp, stray hair swirling in the aura, coat flaring to both sides.
“Gengar, Mega Evolution!!!”
Brilliant rainbow light bloomed, a tangible bond, dazzling white light enveloped Gengar.
This was the tactic carrying everyone’s will.
As the... Tactician.
Standing before the entire broken world, resisting Arceus!
With a mortal body, shoulder to shoulder with a god!!
Boom!!!
A surging wave of aura rose, shadows stormed inside the temple.
Mega Gengar’s lower body submerged in another dimension, a third eye blossomed on its forehead, claws gathering a raging miniature black hole!
“Gengar.”
Teacher Lu said coldly, “Dark Void!!”
“Goké!!”
The raging Dark Void swept through the aura, leaping over the towering steps, dragging massive debris with gravity, forming a meteor.
Boom!!!
A powerful shock ran through Arceus’ heart.
The faith, courage, and bonds between humans and Pokémon deeply shook it.
The meteor came head-on.
It looked at the black-haired youth and Gengar;
the disappointment and sorrow in its eyes gradually faded, blossoming into a glimmer of light.
Abandoning all defenses, Arceus’ golden wheel dimmed, letting the meteor fall as if facing judgment.
Boom!!!
‘Lu Ye...’
Arceus closed its eyes, a faint smile of relief on its lips, its form gradually vanished inside the antimatter black hole, like a projection completing its mission.
‘I lost...’
Sparkling fragments scattered;
its figure gradually faded in Between Origins.
A long silence, stretching to the world’s end.
Scattered specks of light drifted in the temple like lively beings, conveying calm and goodwill.
Lu Ye exhaled a long breath, suppressed for so long.
The shattered marble, collapsed palace, gradually restored under the light fragments.
Ash felt the wall on his shoulder slowly rise.
The Pikachu in his arms revived, opening its eyes: “Pika pi...”
“Pikachu!” Ash rejoiced, hugging Pikachu tightly.
Lu Ye silently stood in the grand temple, the little ones gathering around him.
“Goké... (。•́︿•̀。)”
Mega Gengar’s form quietly faded, sensing Lu Ye’s mood, it pouted.
“I’m fine.”
Lu Ye smiled slightly, hands in pockets. This champion had just completed the feat of defeating Arceus.
“I just...”
His gaze briefly flickered with confusion as he looked at the weeping Togebro.
The little ones looked gloomy, surrounding the spot where A-Jin disappeared.
There lay a billiard cue broken in two, damaged goggles.
Togepi slowly approached Togebro, gently comforting it: “Chajiduyi~~”
“Boke! (;
´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)” Togebro wrapped its wings around Togepi.
Staring at the billiard cue, a strong sadness rose in Lu Ye’s chest.
The bond between humans and Pokémon was so real.
As long as both sides trust each other, they will be reciprocated.
He touched the thick notebook in his arms—it was still there.
Lu Ye took out the notebook, gazing at the thick front pages, thinking for a moment, then tore them off.
Pages fluttered in the air, Lu Ye suddenly opened his eyes wide.
Golden light fragments fell toward the previous spot, quietly restoring the billiard cue.
At that spot, the light fragments slowly condensed, forming a golden silhouette.
The silhouette stood before Togebro, bending down to pick up and wear the goggles.
Proudly wiping its nose.
“How’s that? Scared yet?”
A-Jin crossed his waist and laughed loudly: “I’ve done this several times. Whether it’s Ho-Oh, Celebi, or Arceus, they can all be revived, haha!”
Lu Ye was slightly stunned, a faint smile appearing.
The wonderful battle I have already fought, the path I should walk I have walked fully, the duty I must guard I have guarded.
From now on, a crown of justice remains for me.
Taking a deep breath, Teacher Lu wrote:
May 12, Wednesday.
In Between Origins, I just crushed Arceus.
A-Jin risked his life, nearly dragging me into injustice.
This grudge, I, Teacher Lu, have recorded!
