Collin returned to the apartment, and his mom had already prepared breakfast for him.
"Are you going to work this early?" Evelyn glanced at the clock with slight confusion. It was still 6 am, quite early for Collin to leave. His job started at 9 am and he usually left the apartment around 8:30 am.
"I have to go to Beverly Hills. I'm going to meet a Realtor and finalize a few things."
"Are you talking about the property you want to buy?"
"Hm," Collin nodded and swallowed his food. "Once I buy the property, you can live there. You said you want to grow a garden and have more space for yourself."
"Yes, but you didn't have to—"
"Mom, buying a house is not a bad thing. You don't have to feel troubled. I want you to enjoy your life."
Collin had actually talked to Evelyn about putting the deed in her name, but Evelyn was so against it that she reprimanded Collin with fierceness. In the end, Evelyn only agreed to live there as long as the house was under Collin's name.
