Behind The Spotlight Chapter 22
"You sure you don't want to consult a lawyer first? I just want you to make sure." Collin was surprised by how quickly Lawrence made his decision. It was faster than he had anticipated.
He thought the actor would contact a lawyer first, as most cautious newcomers usually did. But then again, consulting a lawyer might cost money Lawrence probably couldn't afford right now.
"I decided to trust you." Lawrence offered a bitter smile, his eyes reflecting both caution and optimism.
"Besides, I've been thinking of leaving Hollywood this year if I couldn't find even a small success in my acting career. Signing this contract is my way of showing perseverance and determination. One last attempt at achieving my dream before I give it all up."
"You and I will make sure you achieve that dream, no matter how hard we have to work."
"Thanks for believing in me."
Lawrence nodded with a small but firm motion. Deep down, he was still unsure about the decision. But he chose to trust his gut for once, instead of overthinking. This was the first time an agent had reached out to him and proposed a partnership.
That alone brought him a bit of happiness, something to hold onto. At least there was someone who saw something in him and decided to help when no one else would. He was happy, more than words could express.
