The Ser Wilderness was as scorching hot as ever.
The sunset's glow still poured down like molten iron through cracks in the clouds, dyeing the entire wasteland a rusty red. The distant horizon seemed to be burning, exhaling distorted heat waves into the twilight.

Steel-framed pumping rigs stood at equal intervals on the horizon, densely packed like countless devout pilgrims, pounding the earth with fixed rhythm, pumping vast amounts of black oil to the surface.
An army equipped with advanced alchemical gear was stationed nearby to guard it.
Each combat-type alchemical golem called the Steel Guardian, towering over ten meters tall, moved with heavy steps. Fully armed human soldiers followed and cooperated around them, remaining vigilant against any slightest movement on the ground.
Within dozens of kilometers around the oil field, no powerful ferocious beasts or monsters existed.
