Chapter 14: The Bear Horde
Countless stars dotted the night sky, which was draped like a black velvet cloth.
The red iron young dragon stood on a towering, rugged cliff, turning back to gaze, his eyes slowly sweeping over the entire Sky Pit Territory below.
Especially the area beneath this cliff, filled with pits of varying depths and uneven ground, carrying almost all of Garoth’s memories from his hatchling days.
“There’s no turning back now; I have to rely entirely on myself.”
Garoth glanced at the two moons in the sky and the magical satellites mixed indistinguishably among the real stars, his mood growing slightly heavy.
The magic level on planet Bernardo was particularly advanced, especially in the alchemy that used magic to create objects.
The numerous wild monsters and ferocious beasts in the wilderness were secondary; the real danger lay in kingdoms formed by intelligent beings.
“Arrogance, pride, greed.”
“These are the innate natures of dragons that most easily cause hatchlings to perish prematurely. I must always be vigilant and never careless.”
