Future Pet Shop

Beauties may be rare, but in a place like a department store, you're bound to see a few just by walking around. A panda, however, was a different story. You could search all of Yunzhong City and only find Hah'Er. So whenever Hah'Er and a group of beautiful women appeared at the same time, the center of attention was always Hah'Er, not Xia Shixuan, Li Shiqing, and the others.

When a beautiful woman gets a lot of attention, she'll secretly enjoy it while also finding it a bit annoying. But if no one pays attention, she'll get depressed. Right now, the five young women were in exactly that mood. Though this wasn't their first time out with Hah'Er, today, with Scarf's help, they had put together brand-new looks. Seeing their own dazzling reflections in the mirror, they had thought, 'Maybe we can steal some of the limelight from Hah'Er this time.' But who could have guessed that Hah'Er, in his new clothes, would be even more dashing than before? They had absolutely no power to compete and could only watch helplessly as they were relegated to being his backdrop.

"Sigh, I've spent almost all my money. I think I'll head back," Bai Yanni said, the first to retreat. Li Shiqing chimed in, also feeling that there was no point in shopping anymore. "The seasons are about to change anyway. The clothes I just bought should be enough. I'll just wait until it's warmer to go shopping again."

Qiao Wenqi, Mo Xiaomo, and Xia Shixuan shared the sentiment. "Alright, then. We've been shopping all day and we're a bit tired. Let's drop the clothes off at the store first, then find a place to eat." They silently made a resolution: 'Next time we go clothes shopping, no matter what, we are not letting Hah'Er come with us.'

"I'll go get the car." Shen Yibin also breathed a sigh of relief. 'Finally, I don't have to endure this torture anymore.' The staff from the children's clothing store followed, carrying bags large and small. They drove their own store vehicle behind Shen Yibin's, delivering all the clothes to the pet shop. But they had barely managed a few words of praise before Hah'Er, in his red suit, captured their attention. They quickly rushed over to him, looking him up and down. "Hah'Er, you got new clothes too? You're absolutely adorable! Quick, come take a picture with me, I have to post it online!"

Mo Xiaomo and Xia Shixuan exchanged a look. 'Ugh, it was bad enough outside, but it's the same even back at the shop. This is just unbearable! Why don't you ask me for a picture?!'

They hugged Hah'Er and snapped away, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, taking countless photos until the panda got a little tired and ran off to the bamboo grove to rest. Only then did the two young women finally turn their attention back to Xia Shixuan and the others, admiring their beautiful clothes. "I hope we can pick out clothes as nice as yours tomorrow."

"Just a heads up, I have to take Hah'Er out tomorrow, so I'm afraid I won't be able to go with you. You'll have to get a taxi on your own," Shen Yibin quickly chimed in. After the ordeal he'd been through today, he really didn't want a repeat performance.

"Boss, you're playing favorites! You spent so much time with Shixuan and the others, why won't you go with us?" Xie Nannan and Gao Shu looked very unhappy.

"You should be grateful. The boss is just looking out for you," Xia Shixuan said with a sigh. If she could choose again, she definitely wouldn't have let Hah'Er steal her thunder.

"Yeah, you'll see what we mean when you get back," Li Shiqing said, looking dejected. She kept scrolling through her phone until she saw that the new pictures she had posted were getting countless likes and complimentary comments. That's when she started to feel a bit better. A glance around showed that Qiao Wenqi, Mo Xiaomo, and the others were all doing the same. It was worth noting that not a single one of them had posted a picture of Hah'Er; it was clear they were still upset about being upstaged earlier.

"Okay, it's almost closing time. Are we going out to eat or ordering in?" Bai Yanni really didn't want to dwell on the sore subject anymore. She planned to channel her grief and indignation into her appetite and have a huge meal later.

"Let's just order in. I don't feel like moving," Shen Yibin said lazily from the sofa, rubbing his aching legs.

"I'll call the restaurant and have them deliver a full spread. I'll pop home and grab a couple of bottles of wine, too." Xia Shixuan took the car keys from Shen Yibin and walked out of the shop.

About an hour later, Xia Shixuan returned with the restaurant's delivery vehicle. The restaurant staff carried one food container after another up to the second-floor dining room. The moment they were opened, a delicious fragrance filled the air. Shen Yibin took a sniff and immediately perked up. 'Mm, these dishes are actually pretty good.'

After a wonderful meal and a short rest on the sofa, it was about time for everyone to head home. Shen Yibin saw Qiao Wenqi, Mo Xiaomo, and Bai Yanni off in a car. When he got back to the shop, however, he couldn't find any trace of Hah'Er by the bamboo grove. He went upstairs to search and vaguely heard what sounded like Hah'Er in the bedroom.

Pfft! Shen Yibin burst out laughing the moment he opened the bedroom door. The little guy was standing in front of the mirror looking at his new clothes, striking one pose after another and admiring himself.

"Here, here, let me take some pictures of you!" Shen Yibin couldn't help but pull out his phone and snap a few shots. He posted them online, then lay in bed, chuckling as he read through the comments until he fell asleep.

When Shen Yibin woke up the next morning, Hah'Er seemed a bit listless and lacking energy. He guessed the panda had also stayed up late admiring himself before finally going to sleep.

At the breakfast table, Xie Nannan and Gao Shu were relentlessly questioning Xia Shixuan and Li Shiqing about which stores they had visited yesterday, where they were located, and what kind of specialty clothing they had. They obviously couldn't wait to go on a shopping spree! Meanwhile, Scarf was lounging on the sofa like a king, occasionally opening its mouth for someone to feed it a bite of ice cream.

After breakfast, Shen Yibin took Hah'Er and the others to the park for a few laps of exercise. The Panda Hero craze had gradually faded, so Shen Yibin's life could finally return to normal. Of course, Hah'Er's new clothes caused another small sensation, but luckily, it was only among acquaintances and didn't cause them much trouble.

"Boss, we're heading out now!" Just as he got back, Xie Nannan and Gao Shu were coming out of the shop, holding Scarf.

"Alright, be careful, and don't lose Scarf," Shen Yibin said, walking over to pat Scarf's head.

"I wouldn't dare! If Scarf got lost, I wouldn't need a scolding from you, Boss—Shixuan and Shi Qing would tear me to shreds." After speaking, Xie Nannan asked curiously, "Boss, where are you and Hah'Er planning to go today?"

"Oh, I'm planning on spending some money!" Shen Yibin waved, then opened the car door for Hah'Er and himself and hopped in.
