Gorgeous Female Tenants

Upon hearing the thunderous roar of Xu Xiangbei’s Porsche engine, Brother Hua Ji quickly came out to greet him.

Brother Hua Ji still sported his colorful rooster comb hairstyle, a petite and delicate figure, with a shrewd smile on his face.

Xu Xiangbei said with a cheeky grin, "Brother Hua Ji. Long time no see."

Hua Ji’s smile was somewhat stiff: "Hello, Brother Xu."

The two hugged warmly, and Xu Xiangbei, with a teasing look, laughed, "Brother Hua Ji, you don’t seem very welcoming to my visit?"

Seeing Ding Keke who had come with Xu Xiangbei, Hua Ji smiled and asked, "And who might this beautiful lady be?"

"Let me introduce you, this is the lovely Nurse Ding, also one of my future wives."

Ding Keke laughed, "Don’t listen to him; I’m not his old wife. I’m his tenant, renting a place from him."

"Nurse Ding, let’s go upstairs for some tea."

Xu Xiangbei handed the keys to the mechanic and followed Hua Ji to his second-floor office.

Xu Xiangbei was surprised to find vivid floral curtains added to the office windows, and the office was tidily arranged, with everything in its place.

Touching the curtains, feeling their smooth texture, Xu Xiangbei jokingly laughed, "You keep this place so clean, just as tidy as my office. Did you hire a female secretary?"

Hua Ji gave a sheepish smile, "My little repair shop hiring a female secretary? Only President Chen, a company president, would have a female secretary."

On Hua Ji’s desk were a pot of orchids, a small mirror, a pink makeup box, and a horn comb.

Xu Xiangbei and Ding Keke sat down on the sofa. Xu Xiangbei, looking around Hua Ji’s office out of boredom, grinned cheekily, "And you say you didn’t hire a female secretary. These are clearly women’s things. Are you afraid I’ll discover something? An office romance? You’re quite bold; I wouldn’t dare."

"What office romance? Brother Xu always jokes."

Pouring tea for both Xu Xiangbei and Ding Keke, Hua Ji smiled and asked, "Brother Xu, what brings you to Jiangcheng?"

Xu Xiangbei noticed he and Ding Keke had sat down while Hua Ji remained standing stiffly by the cabinet. He smiled faintly, "Just handling some minor business here and thought I’d stop by to see you."

While chatting with Hua Ji, suddenly, there was a thumping sound from the metal cabinet behind Hua Ji.

Xu Xiangbei was startled, "What was that sound? Do you have rats in your cabinet? That’s quite a noise."

Hua Ji awkwardly nodded, "Yes, there are lots of rats here."

Staring at Hua Ji’s face for a while, noticing his unnatural expression, Xu Xiangbei wickedly laughed, "I get it; did you hide a female secretary here? What are you afraid of? Didn’t you break up with Lu Xiaomei? Finding a female secretary girlfriend isn’t shameful."

"No such thing, Brother Xu; you’re overthinking."

Xu Xiangbei frowned with a look of disdain, pointing at the teacup, "Oh no, I see rat droppings in my teacup. Hua Ji, come and see, aren’t these rat droppings?"

Hua Ji hurried over to Xu Xiangbei, took the teacup, and checked carefully. The clear tea only had green tea leaves, not a trace of rat droppings.

"There are no rat droppings, Brother Xu; you must be seeing things."

Suddenly realizing he was tricked by Xu Xiangbei, Hua Ji thought, bad move.

While Hua Ji was checking for rat droppings in the teacup, Xu Xiangbei quickly jumped in front of the metal cabinet and forcefully pulled open the door, "Hehe, hiding someone? Come out now."

Hua Ji realized he’d been fooled, but it was too late. Xu Xiangbei had already opened the cabinet door.

Upon opening the door, a deafening scream emerged from within, and Xu Xiangbei’s wicked smile froze on his face as he stood stunned in front of the cabinet.

Indeed, Hua Ji had hidden someone inside the cabinet, and it was none other than Lu Xiaomei herself. Despite her tall and hefty build, Lu Xiaomei managed to fit inside the cabinet, exhibiting quite some flexibility.

Xu Xiangbei pointed at Lu Xiaomei and scolded, "Lu Xiaomei, didn’t you take leave from me to go home and help your mom with the farming? Why are you hiding here?"

Now Xu Xiangbei understood why Hua Ji looked awkward upon seeing him, as Lu Xiaomei had come to meet him secretly.

Ding Keke, sipping her tea and watching Lu Xiaomei with interest, noticed the stark contrast between the tall and hefty Lu Xiaomei and the petite Hua Ji. How could these two be a couple? Is this what they call complementary love?

Caught by Xu Xiangbei, Lu Xiaomei pouted and plopped down on the sofa, rubbing her cramped legs, "Oh dear, that was suffocating."

Xu Xiangbei pressed further, "Weren’t you two broken up? How come you’re back together?"

Lu Xiaomei didn’t know how to explain her feelings and just pouted in silence, her face turning red like a monkey’s bottom, fidgeting with the hem of her clothing like a guilty child.

Seeing Lu Xiaomei’s face flush with embarrassment, Ding Keke sympathized and spoke on her behalf, "Relationships are all about breaking up and making up. Today together, break up tomorrow, but realize the other is still great the day after and get back together. It’s perfectly normal."

Seeing Ding Keke speak up for her, Lu Xiaomei showed a grateful expression, "Thank you, Sister. What’s your last name?"

Ding Keke smiled, "You can just call me Sister Ding."

Xu Xiangbei smirked, feeling like Lu Xiaomei hugging Hua Ji was akin to a gorilla holding a little monkey, somewhat comical.
