Transmigrated To A Beastworld As The Lazy Wife Of The Fox Lord

Chapter 375: Sudden mission completion.

The stand off continued on, with both sides waiting for the other to move first. Sienna finally figured that she should say something first. But before she could, she heard a familiar sound in her mind.

[Congratulations host for maximizing the favor of your pet. Your rewards are available.

Sienna blinked. "What does this mean?" She asked, in her mind.

After that, it fell silent.

Eli took a step forward, sighing this was a most taxing task. "As the most intelligent one here, I will go first." He puffed his chest out, and put his hands behind his back.

That single sentence was enough to ignite the adults.

"Who says you are the most intelligent one here?" Lord Marius asked loudly, stepping forward quickly, as if he needed to be seen. "I am the former patriarch of the fox tribe. The things I accomplished during my reign put Elias to shame."

"Father!" Elias exclaimed.

Lord Chase cleared his throat. "I have made more money than you, Marius. Only an intelligent man can accomplish what I have accomplished." He shrugged at Eli. "Sorry kid."

"This is not about money or power." Eli huffed.

"Does it matter who is the most intelligent?" Mrs. Miller laughed nervously.

Sienna sighed. "Can’t we just take a tour of this place together? As a family." She looked at Chase. "And one boyfriend."

"And me." Grace-lyn Twindell came running from behind, carrying six bars of frozen ice cream bars shaped like small fish.

Before the adults could settle their battle, Eli got in the middle, stepping in front of his grandfather Marius. He cleared his throat and turned to Ali with the solemnity of a judge. "Alison, tell mama what I told you to tell her in the morning."

The little girl, who was reaching for an ice cream bar stomped her foot. "I want ice cream first."

Sienna laughed. Nothing got between Ali and her food.

"I will buy you two more." Eli whispered.

Ali, thrilled with the compensation package, dug into her pocket and pulled out a folded note. She cleared her throat like a scholar about to recite an ancient poem on wisdom.

"Mama," she began, "I want to eat your chicken nuggets. You haven’t cooked them in 28 days and 18 hours. I want to eat strawberry stuffed doughnuts, roasted sugar chestnuts, crimson honey cookies with milk frosting, and crab dumplings."

It was hard for the adults not to be amused. They could all guess that this was not what Eli wanted his sister to talk about. He was not a food lover like she was.

Eli slapped his forehead so hard the sound echoed. "That’s not what I said!"

The adults roared with laughter, some nearly choking on their ice cream. Even Lady Cadelaria managed to laugh to the extent of wiping tears from her eyes, and muttering a question about who Ali had inherited her appetite from. While she didn’t make accusations, her eyes did glance at Sienna for a few seconds.

Eli, red-faced and exasperated, stomped his foot. "You came to me complaining that mama was not in her room. That she was not there to bring us to the theme park! Have you forgotten how you cried?"

Ali blinked, eyes widening as if she had just remembered something from a past long forgotten. She unfolded the paper again, squinting at her scribbles. "Oh...right." She coughed delicately and read aloud: "Mama, we are disappointed. Like when you cooked that octopus. It was yucky." She folded the paper and put it back in her pocket.

Eli threw his hands in the air. "I said, write a one thousand word essay!" His voice cracked with frustration, making the adults laugh even harder. "You can’t rely on me for everything Alison."

Ali replied sharply, "I don’t rely on you to eat." She reached to Grace-lyn for her ice cream. It mattered more than anything else that was going on.

The adults laughed again.

"Why don’t we continue with the tour?" Mrs. Miller asked.

Eli held his hand up. "Wait, I still have something to say." He stared at his parents with a stern look that did not belong on his young face. It was a consequence of spending too much time around adults and tutors and being told he was the next patriarch, constantly. "Mama, papa. This a children’s theme park. Alison and I are your children. How could you forget your children and come out to play in a children’s park by yourselves? Does it make sense to you?"

Elias replied shamelessly. "I came to play with my wife. She is my baby. Is that a problem?"

Sienna wished she could hide somewhere for a moment. While the other grown ups gasped or held in their laughter, Eli huffed. "You are unreasonable."

"You take yourself too seriously for a five year old." Elias replied.

"I will be six in two months." Eli pointed out.

Sienna rolled her eyes, and wriggled until Elias let her go. As soon as her feet touched the ground, she reached for Eli and scooped him into her arms. "Our very difficult to please ancestor, stop making trouble. Since you are already here, let’s just have fun as a family. I will be too busy in the next few weeks to take you out to play." She kissed him on the cheek. "Do you want to see the shark habitat? I saw one that looks your father." She kissed his cheek again.

Eli chuckled, squirming playfully. His mood had been turned around just like that.

They all walked together, following a professor and tour guide.

Grace-lyn sidled up to Sienna and said, "Sis, you handled the Dixie and Fiddle divorce right?"

Sienna nodded. "Dixie will be wedding your brother Ethane soon. If you ask me, he should not do it."

Lady Cadelaria raised her voice from the front. "Sienna, Ethane’s marriage is none of your business. Don’t say careless things that will ruin a perfectly good union of two families."

Not one person in the group listened to her opinion or cared for it.

"Actually it is; because our parents are dating." Sienna replied. "Maybe Ethane will be my brother someday. As his sister, I must look out for him. Dixie and Fiddle looked like they were in love, to me. If their families were not feuding, those two would still be together."

Lord Chase frowned. This matter concerned his brother’s marriage, after all.

Grace-lyn’s eyes lit up. "I knew it. My friend Angelita said she saw those two in St. Vitts yesterday. They are taking separate vacations, but their rooms are on the same floor of the same hotel. It cannot be a coincidence."

Sienna stopped and gasped. This made everyone turn around to look at her. "St. Vitts!! The city were everyone who needs a quick marriage license with no questions asked, runs to! Is anyone else thinking what I am thinking?"
