Chapter 105: The inappropriate visit.
If there was someone more outraged at the sudden darkening of the livestream than Sienna, it was King Leon. The lion beast man roared ’Nooooo,’ so loudly that the walls of the royal palace trembled, Queen Serenya slipped from her throne and the guards pulled their weapons.
As she adjusted her body, the queen couldn’t help glaring at her husband. "It’s just a temporary ban on Sienna’s livestream, not a betrayal of a close ally. You need to take a break from her Leon. You are becoming an addict."
King Leon was not even listening. He was already contacting Sting, to yell at the idiot who had not been keeping an eye on things. He was already imagining what what he was missing out on.
Had Sienna already met the family of the Amberis prince? Had she accepted the dowry? Would Elias have a co-husband?
He looked at his assistant and said desperately, "Hurry, call our spy in Sienna’s compound. I want to know what is happening."
Queen Serenya sighed. In moments like this, she was reminded of the look of pity some of the King’s sisters had given her when she married him. She recalled the ’good luck’ wishes from his own mother. They had all known what a silly lion he was.
She decided to deal with the serious affairs he was forgetting, while he indulged in gossip.

Meanwhile, Sienna had not accepted the dowry already, as the King was wondering. But, she was at the beach, meeting the family of the Amberis Prince.
Grandpa Corven had firmly established himself at her side, eyes locked with judgement on the unwelcome guests. Having those falcon eyes staring so intensely was making the mer family squirm. Only the foolish prince had heart filled eyes on Sienna. He looked ready to jump into her arms and surrender the sea as his dowry.
But the guards surrounding Sienna were likely to stuff that dowry down the Amberis prince’s throat than allow it to be handed over. They were fierce, with their hands on their weapons. One wrong move, and someone would drop dead.
The mer family had five people, Three men and two women. Two people who looked like the parents of the prince while the other two looked like his brother and sister. They were standing on either side of their younger brother, one hand on each of his shoulders.
"Won’t you invite us in?" The woman, that Sienna assumed was the mer queen of the Amberis coven, asked.
"You have come to the wrong place." Sienna replied. "If this was fox tribe related business, I would invite you in. But, we all know it is not. So, I don’t have to invite you into my home. It is not because I am deliberately trying to be rude but because the reason for your visit is highly inappropriate."
Grandpa Corven slammed his walking cane in the sand, very slowly. "My granddaughter is right, your visit is very inappropriate. You know that she is the Lady of the fox tribe, that she is married, and yet you have still come with singing clams. The side effects of Sienna fishing your son out of the sea have not even died down on the BeastNet. What are you trying to accomplish?"
The oldest man, with bright blue hair and emerald eyes spoke in a clipped voice, "We didn’t want to come either, but Lolo has his heart set on you, Lady Sienna. We would not be nice parents if we didn’t try to find a way to see if we can find a solution."
Sienna looked at the Amberis Prince, Lolo. He winked at her, making her shudder. "There is no solution, I am married." She said curtly. "Lolo should find himself a nice mermaid woman and forget ever meeting me." She looked back at Shalin, "Give our guests some complimentary fruits and see them off."
"I am not going anywhere." Lolo declared. His nostrils twitched, and his eyes glared at Sienna after he smelled the fox Lord on her. He was like a man whose wife had engaged in an extra marital affair. "How could you Sienna?"
Sienna rolled her eyes.
The tiger beast man leaped over the gate, grabbed the bag of complimentary fruits and pulled a vibrating sword with two crimson eyes on the hilt. She looked at the mermen and said in a tight voice, "Lord Veythar will be arriving in two minutes with members of the fox guard. He does not expect to find your family here. If he does, it will be considered the start of a war between our tribes."
Lolo’s father nodded. Foxes were cunning, it was best not to cross them. As expected, this journey was a fruitless one. He had been dragged along by his wife who loved to fulfill all of their son’s whims. And quite frankly, he could not understand what his son saw in the chubby human woman. Their tribe had women that were more good looking, with slim but strong builds. They were fast swimmers and fierce hunters.
This Sienna did not look like she had ever swam one lap in a tiny swimming pool! And she was too violent. What kind of woman went around with a pan, threatening everyone who said one wrong word to her?
If not for the fact that she had managed to give the fox Lord two full blooded cubs with a beast gene, he would not have considered her an option for his son. Her ability to birth beast men was her only asset. Granted, Lolo was not a great prize, but he was a high ranked beast man. Being interested in Sienna was already a lucky thing for her.
"Let’s go." he barked.
Lolo blinked, refusing to move. "That’s it? Pa....we can’t just leave. She caught me, our tradition demands that she be my bride."
With eyes flashing, his father replied, "Tradition can be bent depending on the circumstances. She released you immediately after catching you and she has rejected you again. Our tradition doesn’t allow forceful unions, especially not with already taken females. Let’s go Lolo. I will not ask again."
Lolo wanted to defy his father, but his siblings seemed to be ready for the moment. They hauled him off, racing back to the sea as if they were on a timer. His parents on the other hand, walked away with more grace.
Just as everyone turned to return home, Numia raced towards the sea, "Your highneeeeeeess, wait....what about what we talked about?"
Sienna stopped and turned her head, an amused smile decorating her face. "I know that tone..." she said, with a chuckle.
