Transmigrated To A Beastworld As The Lazy Wife Of The Fox Lord

Chapter 91: The sneaky fox lord.

Elias’s lips rose secretly, in a smile that was in awe of his wife. Either, she could not read a room, or she simply didn’t care.

Elder Sebris raised his hand and cleared his throat. "We are leaving, this matter will be taken to the King. As for Princess Mija, you can keep her as your guest for a while. Anyway, it’s not as if you can kill her."

Shrugging comfortable, Elias replied, "Your call, but keep in mind that she may reveal certain things you don’t want us knowing while she is here."

Arden White-Fang did not agree with the decision that his uncle was making, and his sharp, unwilling gaze said so. The same went for Sienna, who had no desire to babysit a useless serpent woman that had turned out to be a cry baby.

"Oh hell no!" She threw the pan down and put her hands on her waist. "I am not going to be your free babysitter. If you cannot sort this out today and take your princess with you, then you have to pay fees for lodging, feeding and emotional distress that she is causing me and my bees." She knew Elias would not give Mija up if the White snakes did not pay whatever fee he wanted.

He owned cottages in the area, so it wasn’t as if she would could forbid him from holding her on his property. As she was still Lady Fox, his affairs concerned her. If he was hosting the silly serpent, so was she.

"You can save yourselves the expenses and give her back." Arden suggested.

"Not happening." Timothy responded. "What our Lady meant in her polite way was that if you wanted your princess to eat luxuriously, you must pay the price. Or else, we will feed her whatever we feed the domesticated animals in our farms.

If you want her to be sting free, you must pay the price. Or else, she will be stung three times day. One sting for breakfast, one for lunch and one for dinner.

If you want her to escape the wrath of the pan, you must pay the price or she will be hit three times. A pan for breakfast, one for lunch and one for dinner." He pushed a second contract on the table.

It was as if his Lord could see the future. Timothy recalled how Elias had asked him to prepare the two contracts, as if he knew Mija would not be leaving today, she would be stung by a pee and hit by Sienna’s pan.

Then Timothy added, "She prefers to wear silk dresses and robes, fur boots and be served by ten servants....."

"No," Sienna jumped in, interrupting Timothy. "She will not be needing any of that. Who needs silk to farm? The servants are also unnecessary. If I can bathe and dress myself, so can she. And Include an injury clause in there. If anything happens to her during her stay here, we are not to blame."

While she said this, the White snake delegation scoffed, huffed hissed and reacted in all sorts of ways. But did the foxes and their human Lady care, absolutely not.

Elder Sebris signed the contract and paid the attached fees, for two weeks of lodging. That was how long they estimated the issue to reach the top on the pile of matters King Leon had to deal with.

As they left, they could still hear Mija’ shrieks coming from the backyard. The moment they got onto their sailing ship, which was white, with a large silver serpent flying on the flag, Arden turned on Sebris.

His fist flew out before he even realized what he was doing. "How dare you? How dare you leave my sister with the Veythar’s? Don’t you know how cruel that couple is?"

Sebris punched back, and quickly, others interfered. They pulled both men back.

"You silly boy, don’t you know what we stand to lose if we sign such a contract?" Sebris screamed at Arden.

Arden bellowed back. "I don’t care about monetary interests, I care more about my sister."

Another elder stepped between the men, holding out both hands as he looked from one to the other. "You both need to calm down. Arden, a contract like this one can only be signed by our Lord. None of us have the right to make such a decision which will cut off thirty percent of the tribe’s earnings.

Besides, we know they won’t kill her. Sebris had paid the money for Mija’s well-being out of his own pocket. She will be fine for a while."

Sebris shoved back the men holding him and wiped blood from his nose. "Mija could stand to learn a lesson from this. She knew we were in the middle of a conflict with the fox tribe and still flew a ship over Elias’s air space. She was begging for trouble. The Lord had already told all white snakes in this city to evacuate for now. She ignored the warning. Maybe now, she will learn that actions have consequences."

Arden lunged forward again, extremely emotional. "A lesson? What lesson? Mija cannot stand pain. She has never done a chore in her life and now she is being forced to garden. Bee venom is poisonous. How many stings until something happens to her?"

An older woman walked out of a cabin, to the the deck. She was holding a long wooden staff with a silver serpent on top. Her hair was also silver white, and long. To Arden’s words, she replied, "If Mija dies, we have a reason to declare an all out war on the foxes. Elias Veythar knows this. Why do you think he did not keep her in a hidden location but took her to his home, where his wife and children are. He then claimed that she was injured by unknown parties and went ahead to invite us to his home to visit her."

Sebris clenched his jaw. "He covered all his bases. We cannot accuse him of kidnapping her. Even if she is hit or stung, he can claim that the injuries have nothing to do with him. And, he made us a sign a contract that is evidence of the fact that we are willingly leaving Mija behind. In fact, we are paying for her to stay with his family as if she in on vacation.

It was either we give up business territory or we take Mija. He cornered us in a tight spot. Even if we run to the beast king, we can’t make a fuss over Mija’s current lodgings."

Arden mumbled curses. Elias Veythar had outsmarted them. They had played into his hands, right from the beginning.
