Piss Off, Alpha! You Lost Me Forever

Chapter 204 Im Not Leaving You

SOPHIA’S POV

For a while, all I could see was darkness.

When I opened my eyes, everything felt heavy and slow, like my body didn’t belong to me anymore. The ceiling above me was unfamiliar. It was too white, too clean, and for a few seconds, I didn’t understand where I was.

My head ached. My throat felt dry and even breathing felt painful inside me.

I blinked slowly, trying to focus.

The smell of disinfectant filled my nose. This must be a hospital.

But how?

I tried to move, but my body ached immediately. My arm felt weak, and when I turned my head slightly, I noticed an IV line attached to my hand. The fluid dripped slowly.

Pieces of my memory starred to come back to me.

I remembered what happened at the hospital, Ashley, the argument, the kitchen, the porridge, the way Damien looked at me, the way Ashley told me to leave. The last thing I remembered was going home to rest.

And then... darkness.

“How did I get here?” I whispered.

“You’re awake.”

The voice came from beside me.

I turned my head slowly.

To my surprise, it was Patricia.

She was sitting next to the bed. Her expression was filled with concern. The moment she saw my eyes fully open, she sighed in relief.

“You finally woke up,” she said.

I swallowed slowly. “What happened?”

“You had a very high fever. You collapsed at home.”

I frowned, trying to process her words.

“Who brought me here?” I asked.

Even before she answered, I already knew.

“Zade,” she said gently.

My heart skipped a beat. Images flashed through my mind of him climbing through the window. I felt his presence, his scent. Even in my weak state, I felt it, even when I was unconscious.

“He brought you here himself,” Patricia continued. “He didn’t wait for anyone else.”

I closed my eyes. I felt a strange mix of emotions inside me. I felt relieved that he brought me here in time. I also felt grateful. Deep down, there was something else I felt, something I didn’t want to admit to myself.

But then another thought hit me suddenly. I thought of Marco.

My eyes snapped open again.

“Did Marco see Zade bring me here?” I asked quickly.

Patricia nodded. My chest tightened again.

“He... might make things difficult for Zade,” I said.

I knew how things worked. I knew how suspicious Marco was of Zade. He didn’t even like me taking gifts from Zade.

Patricia reached out and placed a hand gently on mine.

“Don’t think about that right now,” she said softly.

But I couldn’t help it. I was worried.

“He carried me out,” I said. “In front of Marco

Patricia didn’t deny it.

“Yes,” she said quietly.

I let out a slow breath. I could feel my heart racing.

“I didn’t mean to cause trouble for him,” I murmured.

Patricia’s expression softened even more.

“You didn’t,” she said firmly. “Marco isn’t angry. Marco was really grateful to him.”

Her words made me feel more relieved.

“What about him?” I asked after a moment “Where’s Zade?”

Patricia hesitated again.

“He’s not here right now,” she said.

My heart sank slightly. For some reason, I felt disappointed.

“Where is he?” I asked.

Patricia sighed softly. “Marco took him somewhere. They’re talking.”

The word “talking” didn’t sound reassuring at all. I knew how Marco could be.

“He stayed here the whole night,” Patricia added, as if trying to comfort me. “He didn’t leave your side even once.”

I froze in shock. I didn’t believe it. zade was there throughout?

“What?” I whispered.

Patricia nodded.

“He sat right there,” she said, gesturing to the chair beside the bed. “Watching you. He kept checking your temperature and making sure you were okay.”

My eyes moved to the chair. It looked ordinary, but knowing he had been there... it made my chest flutter.

“He didn’t sleep,” Patricia continued. “Not even for a moment.”

My throat tightened. I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t know how to feel.

Why would he do that? Why would he care that much?

My wolf stirred inside me. she wasn’t restless this time, but aware. It recognized something I was still trying to deny.

I looked away. My vision blurred somehow.

“I don’t understand,” I whispered.

Patricia didn’t respond immediately. Instead, she gently squeezed my hand.

“You don’t have to understand everything right now,” she said softly.

Her voice was calm but the emotions inside me were anything but calm.

Everything felt overwhelming. It was all too much right now – Ashley, Damien, Tiffany, Zade. All of it.

Tears filled my eyes before I could stop them.

“I just want to go home,” I said. My voice broke completely.

The words came out small, almost like a child’s voice. I felt so weak and vulnerable right now.

Patricia’s expression changed immediately.

“Oh, Sophia,” she said softly.

She stood up and moved closer, wrapping her arms around me carefully, mindful of the IV line. Her embrace was warm. It was comforting in a way I didn’t realize I needed.

I didn’t hold back anymore.

The tears came freely now, slipping down my cheeks as everything I had been holding in finally broke loose.

“I’m so tired,” I whispered.

“I know,” she said gently.

“I don’t know what I’m doing anymore,” I continued, my voice shaking. “Everything feels wrong.”

Patricia didn’t interrupt. She just patted my back, soothing me.

“I tried,” I said. “I really tried.”

My chest ached as the memories replayed in my mind.

I remembered Ashley rejecting me, Damien siding with Tasha. I still saw the look in his eyes. I also remembered Ashley and Tiffany laughing together in the hospital.

“I don’t belong anywhere,” I said softly.

Patricia pulled back slightly to look at me.

“That’s not true,” she said firmly.

I shook my head. “It feels like it is”

She sighed softly “You’re just hurt, and you’ve been holding too much inside for too long.”

I didn’t argue, bdcause she was right.

“I want to leave,” I said quietly. “I don’t want to stay here.”

Patricia hesitated for a moment.

“You need to rest,” she said gently. “The doctor said your fever was very high. You can’t leave yet.”

“I don’t care,” I whispered.

“But I do,” she squeezed my hand “You need to take care of yourself. You can’t keep pushing like this.”

I closed my eyes, trying to calm myself down.

“I don’t have the strength anymore,” I admitted.

Patricia brushed my hair back gently.

“Then rest,” she said.

The room fell quiet for a moment.

Then, the door opened. I turned my head to see who it was.

Zade walked in.

His presence filled the room immediately. His expression was calm, but there was something deeper in his eyes, something intense.

When he looked at me, I saw the relief in his expression.

“You’re awake,” he said.

I nodded “Yes”

Patricia stepped back, giving him space.

“I’ll leave you two,” she said quietly before walking out.

The door closed behind her.

Zade walked closer slowly. He stopped beside the bed. His eyes scanned my face like he was studying me.

“How are you feeling?” he asked.

“Better,” I said softly.

He didn’t look convinced. “You don’t look better,”

I let out a small breath. “I’m okay,”

He didn’t argue, but his expression didn’t change.

“You shouldn’t have climbed through the window,” I said after a moment.

“I would do it again,” he replied immediately.

His answer caught me off guard.

“That’s not the point,” I muttered.

“It is to me,”

I looked at him, unsure how to respond. I didn’t know what to say.

He pulled the chair beside me closer to my bed and sat.

“I’m staying,” he said.

I frowned “You don’t have to.”

“I know,” he smirked “But I want to.”

“You’ve already stayed all night,” I said.

He shrugged “And I’ll stay again,”

His tone was calm, but there was no room for argument.

“You need to rest,” he added.

I looked at him. My emotions were tangled inside me and confusing.

“Why are you doing this?” I asked quietly.

He didn’t hesitate. “Because I care for you, Sophia”

The simplicity of his answer made my heart ache.

I looked away, unable to meet his gaze.

Zade didn’t leave. He stayed there, right beside me.

And for the first time in a long while... I didn’t feel completely alone.
