Piss Off, Alpha! You Lost Me Forever

Chapter 176 For The Family II

SOPHIA’S POV

The moment I got Patricia into the car, my wolf finally calmed a little, but not completely. She was still pacing inside me, restless and alert, like she hadn’t finished protecting what was mine.

Patricia leaned heavily against me. Her body was weak and unsteady. Her breath smelled of alcohol. The state she was in made me even more annoyed.

“I’m here,” I told her softly, adjusting her so she wouldn’t slump. “You’re safe now. No one is touching you again.”

She mumbled something I couldn’t fully understand. I felt her head falling against my shoulder. Her fingers gripped my sleeve weakly.

My wolf growled quietly at the memory of Peter’s hands on her, and I tightened my hold.

“I won’t let anything happen to you,” I said again, more firmly this time.

The drive home was quiet, but my mind wasn’t. My thoughts kept replaying everything - Simon’s words, Peter’s actions, Patricia’s helpless state. My wolf was angry, deeply angry, and I could feel that anger burning through my veins like heat.

By the time we reached the house, Patricia could barely stand.

I opened the car door and helped her out slowly, wrapping her arm around my shoulder. My injured arm throbbed, but I ignored it. Pain was nothing compared to what could have happened tonight.

“Easy,” I murmured as we walked inside. “Just a few more steps.”

The house was quiet when we got in. I guided her to the bedroom. She needed proper rest.

Once she was on the bed, she let out a soft breath.

“Stay here,” I said. “I’ll get water.”

She didn’t respond, but I knew she heard me.

I moved quickly, grabbing a glass of water and a damp cloth. When I came back, I sat beside her and gently lifted her head.

“Drink,” I said softly.

She obeyed slowly, taking small sips. I wiped her face with the cloth afterward, removing the tears and sweat on her body. Her skin felt warm, and it made my wolf uneasy again.

“They made you drink too much,” I muttered under my breath.

Her eyes fluttered open.

“I... had to...” she whispered weakly.

I shook my head. “No. You didn’t have to do anything like that.”

Her lips trembled, and she turned her face away, like she was ashamed.

“For the family...” she murmured. “Everything is falling apart...”

My chest tightened painfully at her words.

“I know,” I said quietly. “But this wasn’t the way.”

She didn’t argue. She just lay there, exhausted.

I stayed beside her, watching her carefully, making sure she was okay. My wolf finally settled down a little more.

After a while, Patricia fell asleep.

-

It was late when she woke up again.

The room was dark. The only light came from the lamp beside the bed. I was still there, sitting near her.

Patricia stirred a bit before her eyes opened. For a moment, she looked confused.

Then everything came back to her.

Her eyes widened, and she sat up too quickly, only to wince and press a hand to her head.

“Sophia...” she said. Her voice was hoarse. “What happened...?”

“You were drugged and forced to drink,” I said simply. “I brought you home.”

Her face went pale instantly.

“Marco...” she whispered.

I stayed quiet, watching her closely.

“He can’t know,” she said suddenly, grabbing my hand. Sophia, please... he can’t know about this.”

I frowned slightly. “Why?”

“He’ll worry,” she said quickly. “He’ll lose control. And with everything going on with the company... he doesn’t need this too.”

I studied her face carefully. She wasn’t just worried.

She was scared.

“He’s your husband,” I said slowly. “He has a right to know if you’re in danger.”

“I know,” she said. “But not now. Please. Let me handle this. Just... don’t tell him.”

My wolf stirred again. She felt uncertain this time.

I didn’t like hiding things, especially not from my brother. But I could see the fear in her eyes, and I understood it. Marco was already dealing with too much.

After a moment, I sighed softly.

“Fine,” I said. “I won’t tell him.”

She looked relieved as soon as I said that.

“Thank you,” she whispered.

“But this is the last time,” I added firmly. “You don’t put yourself in danger like that again, not for anyone.”

She nodded quickly. “I won’t.”

I looked at her for a few seconds longer before standing up.

“Rest,” I said. “You need it.”

She lay back down slowly. She closed her eyes again, but this time she looked more peaceful.

I stayed there a little longer before finally leaving the room.

-

The next morning, I woke up early. My wolf was restless again.

She kept pacing inside me, pushing me toward something I already knew I had to do. The problem wasn’t just Patricia. It wasn’t just what happened last night.

It was the business.

Marco’s company was in trouble, and Simon had cut off cooperation. That meant everything was at risk.

And I knew exactly where to go.

-

I went straight to Damien’s company. It hurt my pride to ask him for help for my family after everything but I knew I had no choice.

I would do anything for my family.

As I walked inside the building, I felt nothing.

No hesitation. No attachment.

All I felt was purpose.

The receptionist recognized me immediately and let me through without questions. I walked straight to the elevator and pressed the button for his floor.

My wolf went quiet. My heart was racing inside me. I wasn’t sure how Damien would react to me asking him for a favour. When I reached his office, I didn’t knock.

I pushed the door open and walked in.

Damien looked up from his desk, clearly surprised.

“Sophia,” he said. “What are you doing here?”

“I need to talk to you,” I said directly.

He studied my face for a moment, then leaned back slightly.

“About what?”

I stepped closer, stopping in front of his desk.

“Marco’s company,” I said. “You cut off cooperation.”

His expression didn’t change.

“It’s business,” he said calmly.

“I know,” I replied. “And I’m here to talk about business.”

That caught his attention. I could feel his wolf’s energy radiating from him. His eyes turned a shade darker.

“Go on,” he said.

I took a breath. It wasn’t easy doing this but I had to. I set my pride aside and spoke. I decided that I would beg if I had to.

“I want you to restore cooperation with his company,” I said. “Or at least reconsider it.”

There was a brief silence in the room. Damien didn’t say anything for a while.

Damien looked at me carefully, like he was trying to read something deeper.

“Why?” he asked.

“Because the company is collapsing,” I said honestly. “And Patricia risked everything trying to fix it.”

His gaze darkened at that.

“This has nothing to do with Peter,” I added quickly. “I’m not here because of him. I’m here because this is a business that can still work.”

Damien was quiet for a moment. Then he nodded slowly.

“I’ll do it,” he said.

I blinked slightly. I was surprised at how easily he agreed. I was expecting him to say no. I even expected him to make me beg.

He said yes. Why?

“But,” he continued,, “this is purely a business decision. It has nothing to do with you, or Patricia, or Peter.”

My heart beat settled with relief. Even my wolf relaxed inside me.

“That’s fine,” I said. “As long as it helps.”

He watched me for a second longer, then nodded again.

“It will,” he said.

With that, I turned and walked out immediately.

-

When I told Marco that evening, he didn’t react the way I expected.

“What?” he shrieked. “You went to Damien?”

“Yes,” I said. “He agreed to cooperate again.”

Marco’s expression hardened instantly. I noticed how his eyes turned dark with rage. He was trying hard to contain his wolf.

I knew why he was angry. He didn’t want me to go back to Damien for anything.

“I don’t need his help,” he said firmly.

I frowned. “This isn’t about pride. It’s about-”

“I said I don’t need it,” he cut me off with a growl.

I sighed “Marco, listen-”“

I’ve already secured another cooperation,” he continued. “An aviation company. The deal is almost done.”

I blinked in shock. I had no idea.

“You have?” I asked.

“Yes,” he said. “I was going to tell you tonight.”

I studied his face carefully. He looked tired but he also looked determined.

“I can handle this,” he added. “I don’t need to rely on Damien.”

I sighed softly. “Alright, if you’re sure.”

“I am,” he replied.

And I believed him.

THIRD PERSON POV

The crisis that threatened to destroy Marco’s company quietly began to resolve itself over the next few days.

The new cooperation with the aviation company moved forward faster than expected. Contracts were finalized smoothly, and funding gaps were filled almost overnight. The pressure that was over the company started to disappear.

What no one knew was that this didn’t happen by chance.

Behind the scenes, Zade had moved quietly.

He had used his connections, his influence, and his resources to ensure the aviation deal went through without obstacles. Every delay was removed before it could become a problem. Every risk was handled before it could grow.

He never appeared. He never spoke to Sophia. He never took credit. Hell, he didn’t even tell anyone he was behind this.

Standing in his office one night, looking over the finalized documents, Zade leaned back slightly.

“Make sure it stays that way,” he said calmly to his assistant.

“Yes, sir.”

Zade then looked toward the window. He said nothing else.

And Sophia never knew.
