Chapter 168 : Chapter 168
Chapter 168 A Large-Scale Crime Documentary!
At the Lu Family, after the man with glasses received his elder brother’s reply, his face darkened on the spot.
Damn the Wanren Military District. They actually dared to take the money and not do the job!
This was clearly them falling out with the Lu Family.
Every month, the Lu Family supplied at least two hundred bottles of High-Grade Spiritual Energy Concentrate to the Wanren Military District. The Mid-Grade and Low-Grade ones numbered in the thousands.
One could say they were an extremely important supplier of Spiritual Energy Concentrate to the Wanren Military District.
He had never expected them to dare do this.
Within the family, he was considered relatively conservative.
This time, when dealing with Li Mu, they had used a soft knife. They had not intended to kill Li Mu all at once.
They simply felt that Li Mu was somewhat troublesome. If they could teach him a lesson and make him obediently roll back to Ironhand City, that would be enough.
After all, their family prioritized profit. There was no need to fight a Junior Tiger Marquis to the death.
But now, the matter was no longer up to them.
The man with glasses snorted inwardly. As long as their Spiritual Energy Concentrate business withdrew from the military district, the Wanren Military District would absolutely become increasingly unstable.
It was not just him. Everyone in the Lu Family thought the same way.
At Zhongshan District Law Enforcement Headquarters.
Lu Wanqiang returned to his office in a rage and gave his secretary a look.
The secretary nodded and walked out.
Inside the detention room of Law Enforcement Headquarters, the old woman and the younger woman were both shoved inside harshly.
The younger woman saw that the surrounding detention rooms were very clean, so she said to the Law Enforcement Officer who pushed her, “Brother, brother! Do not lock us up here. We are on the same side...”
The Law Enforcement Officer shouted coldly, “Shut up! Are you looking to die?”
As he spoke, he was about to leave.
The old woman panicked too. They had agreed that once the job was done, they would be paid and there would be no further trouble.
So why had they been locked up now?
The old woman immediately shouted anxiously, “We are... we are Captain Qu’s people. Captain Qu told us to falsely accuse that Li Mu of rape.”
“Could you please help us call Captain Qu over? We really are on the same side!”
“Do not worry. Once you call Captain Qu over, you will know!”
She was worried that this Law Enforcement Officer did not know their relationship with Captain Qu.
The man stared at the two of them with a sinister expression and sneered.
“Fine. Wait here. I will go call him for you!”
After the man left, the mother and daughter looked at the empty detention rooms around them and could not help feeling frightened.
Very soon, Captain Qu, who had previously sought them out, appeared.
Captain Qu walked over with a face full of smiles, which made the mother and daughter feel much more at ease.
“Captain Qu! Captain Qu, we completed the mission, right? Hurry and let us out.”
Captain Qu did not waste a single word.
When he arrived in front of them, two bursts of terrifying energy erupted from his body.
They directly blasted the two women backward several steps.
The two did not even have time to speak.
Blood flowed from their mouths and noses at the same time, and they collapsed to the ground with a thud.
It was obvious that their internal organs had been shattered!
Afterward, Captain Qu walked toward the end of the corridor without looking back.
Inside a room at the end of the corridor was Lu Wanqiang’s secretary.
Captain Qu lowered his voice and said to the secretary, “Secretary Wang, it is all done!”
Secretary Wang asked, “Do you know how to publicize it?”
“They died shortly after being brought back. They will be sent for autopsy. The autopsy will show that their internal organs were slowly destroyed by a type of golden True Qi.”
Secretary Wang nodded and said nothing more.
Very soon, he returned to Lu Wanqiang’s office.
Secretary Wang quickly walked to Lu Wanqiang’s side and lowered his voice.
“Minister, it is all done.”
“Mm. Has everything been arranged with the autopsy side?”
Lu Wanqiang asked casually.
“It has been arranged. The autopsy video will show everything very clearly.”
Lu Wanqiang still said, “Go keep watch personally. Nothing can go wrong with this matter!”
“Yes!”
The secretary accepted the order and left.
But when he opened the door, he did not notice that a tiny mosquito followed him out through the crack.
Around three-thirty in the afternoon, Zhongshan District Law Enforcement Headquarters suddenly released an announcement.
It concerned a certain Abyss-Suppression Army officer suspected of raping a woman and then being taken away by the Abyss-Suppression Army.
After the woman was brought back by the Law Enforcement Department, she died very quickly.
The autopsy results, autopsy video clips, and announcement were released together.
The announcement also stated that the case had now reached a deadlock because the Law Enforcement Department had no way to punish an Abyss-Suppression Army officer.
Moreover, the dead could no longer testify.
Releasing the autopsy video was also a response to the demands of the general public, giving them an explanation.
Released along with this announcement was a video from outside a certain restaurant at noon.
The video began with the two women angrily denouncing Li Mu as a rapist, and it ended with Li Mu suppressing four Law Enforcement personnel by force.
As for the later part where the senior figures of the Abyss-Suppression Army and the Law Enforcement Department met, no one dared release it.
Very soon, “people with ulterior motives” edited the most ingenious parts of these two videos together.
That was, in the autopsy video of the two dead women, golden True Qi light appeared in their internal organs during dissection.
And that color was exactly the same as the golden light radiating from the golden circle Li Mu had drawn to trap the two women!
There seemed to be some kind of connection between them...
Very soon, a large number of “great detectives” appeared online.
“Look! None of you must have noticed! The light of that golden circle is exactly the same color as the golden light that appeared when the internal organs of those two people were dissected!”
“Do you know what this means? It must be the result I am thinking of!”
Someone replied, “Genius, anyone with eyes can see that, all right?”
“Laughable! If I had not said it, would you have noticed it? I was clearly the first one to understand the connection here!”
“Trust me. Your little bit of reasoning ability cannot compare to mine.”
There were not a few clever people like this, who treated a problem that could be understood with just a little thought as some major discovery of their own.
These two ambiguous connections, which had not been explicitly stated, were instead widely publicized by people.
The topic instantly exploded.
Very quickly, these matters fermented online.
A monstrous criminal vividly appeared on the page: a tyrannical Abyss-Suppression officer who raped a woman, assaulted Law Enforcement personnel, used Martial Artist methods against the victims, and caused the victims to die after a delay.
The deceived public wished they could tear Li Mu’s tendons out and strip his bones.
Some people even began pressuring the Abyss-Suppression Army.
The first post openly tagging the Abyss-Suppression Army and demanding an explanation appeared at 4:48 p.m.
At 4:49 p.m., online, like bamboo shoots after rain, the same video suddenly emerged from every corner!
The moment the video content appeared, it shocked the entire local network of Linyuan City!
At the beginning of the video, the two female suspects were being taken into the detention room.
The conversation between the two of them and the Law Enforcement Officer was extraordinarily clear, and the image quality was also extremely high.
Immediately afterward, Captain Qu came over and killed the two women with a shockwave.
Then he returned to report to Secretary Wang, and Secretary Wang went to report to Lu Wanqiang.
Lu Wanqiang asked whether arrangements had been made with the autopsy side, then Secretary Wang personally went to the autopsy department.
Finally, the autopsy department tampered with the corpses first, injecting some kind of golden substance into them.
Then they pretended to dissect the corpses for the first time, recording the “autopsy evidence” on video.
The entire recording was filmed from fixed positions. It looked as though it had been taken by hidden pinhole cameras.
It also looked as though someone had hacked into their internal surveillance system.
In any case, the entire process was as clear as a large-scale crime documentary!
Lu Wanqiang, Minister of Zhongshan District Law Enforcement Headquarters, had used ordinary civilians, manipulated the chain of evidence, manipulated public opinion, and deliberately framed an Abyss-Suppression Army officer.
There was no need to investigate this entire criminal chain at all!
Not a single person who appeared in it was innocent.
Following the clues shown in the video and arresting them one by one would absolutely not be wrong!
When the Lu Family received the news, they exploded!
Originally, when the video had come out, the Lu Family members had still been happily watching the show.
They had all been guessing how Li Mu would respond to this matter.
They could not think of any way at all.
Accusations of adultery come from the woman’s own mouth! A woman had used her innocence to accuse him falsely, while Li Mu had assaulted Law Enforcement personnel in public and arrogantly been taken away by the Abyss-Suppression Army.
Law Enforcement Headquarters, on the other hand, had played the role of the people’s guardian and “protected” the two women to the death, preventing them from being taken away by the Abyss-Suppression Army as well.
Immediately afterward, these two women died, killed by golden True Qi that was the same color as his golden circle!
With the dead unable to testify, how could he explain it?
Even with eight mouths, he would not be able to explain himself clearly!
But who could have imagined that such a video would appear?
Never mind that all the surveillance videos in the headquarters were under Lu Wanqiang’s control.
Inside Zhongshan District Law Enforcement Headquarters, Lu Wanqiang was king!
Just based on the many angles in this video, there were no surveillance cameras in those places at all!
The Lu Family immediately tried to suppress the video.
But it was already too late.
No one dared listen to another word from the Lu Family anymore. No one dared reach into this matter any longer.
In an instant, public opinion reversed!
The Linyuan City Law Enforcement Bureau reacted quickly. Cooperating with the Abyss-Suppression Army, they directly took Lu Wanqiang down.
Moreover, everyone who had cooperated in stirring up this incident was also swiftly investigated and punished!
The Law Enforcement Bureau’s intensity in this matter exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Even the people who had posted online were taken away for questioning.
It was not that they were bored with nothing better to do. Rather, the Law Enforcement Bureau was using this attitude to show that they had nothing to do with Lu Wanqiang!
This was also the first time the Law Enforcement Bureau had very openly shown goodwill toward Linyuan City’s Abyss-Suppression Army.
One could say that they had uprooted Lu Wanqiang completely!
Because if they did not hurry to show goodwill, the Abyss-Suppression Army might complain to Swordbearers Hall.
In truth, Lu Wanqiang would still end up being brought to Swordbearers Hall.
They absolutely did not dare neglect this matter.
The Lu Family’s reaction was also swift.
Seeing that the situation could not be salvaged, they instantly abandoned Lu Wanqiang.
Many families had this kind of self-preservation mechanism, like a gecko cutting off its tail. Every line had a dedicated person responsible for it.
The others did not touch it.
The purpose was so that when a certain person fell, the others would not be implicated.
Lu Wanqiang’s line began when Li Mu encountered the little girl’s family on the Airship, and ended with Lu Wanqiang being arrested.
There were traces to follow throughout this matter. At most, it was Lu Wanqiang abusing public authority for personal revenge.
It could not implicate the Lu Family’s foundation.
However, Lu Wanqiang’s fall still badly damaged the Lu Family’s vitality.
Lu Wanqiang had been the Lu Family’s most important chess piece in their political layout in Linyuan City, and now Li Mu had removed him so easily!
The Lu Family was thoroughly enraged!
And their anger was not directed only at Li Mu. It was directed at the entire Wanren Military District, and at the entire Abyss-Suppression Army!
After Lu Wanqiang was arrested, the Law Enforcement Bureau swiftly removed all the videos and began reassuring the public.
This was merely the downfall of a tyrannical official. In this High-Martial Era with a racial crisis, it would soon cool down.
After all, most of the public’s attention was still focused on the Abyss.
And the Wanren Military District also suddenly received a demand from the Lu Family to terminate their Spiritual Liquid supply contract...
