Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World

Chapter 1220 - 1219: Hesitant and Procrastinating

The old Shaman looked at their expressions and sighed with a touch of emotion.

Seeing Ji Nuan smiling brightly nearby, the Shaman lightly patted the two orcs’ arms with a bit of irritation: "Two big orcs lingering here like this—Shaman Ji Nuan still needs to see the tribe members’ injuries. You’re blocking the way so tightly here, hurry up and move aside."

The two orcs felt a bit embarrassed and chuckled awkwardly as they moved away from the stone doorway.

Ji Nuan turned to Ada: "Everyone knows about Ada’s condition, so let’s include you in the checkup this time. It’ll be a good opportunity for everyone to see that your leg has been healed—it’ll give them more confidence in the treatments."

Ada nodded. Having experienced the helplessness after his leg was broken, he understood that feeling deeply.

Now with Shaman Ji Nuan promising to help treat the tribe members, Ada felt even more gratitude and reverence for her.

By the time they arrived at the Shaman’s large mountain cave, some orcs were already peeking curiously at the entrance.

When they saw a few figures approaching from afar, the orcs immediately widened their eyes: "Shaman Ji Nuan is here! Shaman Ji Nuan is here!"

All of a sudden, a bunch of heads popped out at the cave entrance, and Ji Nuan spotted Harry and a few others standing at the doorway.

"Shaman Harry’s here too?" Ji Nuan greeted warmly, her tone casual and friendly, like talking to orcs she’d known for a long time.

Harry and the others, who hadn’t seen her in a while, felt relieved at her demeanor.

Harry’s eyes curved into a joyful arc, his smile sincere: "Of course! You’re the first Shaman capable of treating bone injuries—how could I not come to see this? Maybe I can even sneak in some learning."

Ji Nuan burst into cheerful laughter: "Watch all you want! Anything you pick up is yours."

After some playful banter, Ji Nuan and the others entered the cave under the orcs’ expectant gazes.

Ji Nuan didn’t go too deep into the cave but instead sat down at a spot not far from the entrance.

"Shaman Ji Nuan, you should head further inside. It’s far too cold near the entrance," the old Shaman approached and said.

Ji Nuan glanced helplessly at the interior of the cave: "It’s too dark inside; the view’s much clearer here."

The old Shaman realized this immediately.

Indeed, though the cave was large and deep, it truly lacked sunlight—even on bright days, it remained dim.

"Nuannuan, move inside," a deep orc voice carried over.

Ji Nuan turned and looked at the stern orc beside her: "But Brother Xiu Yan, it’s too dark in there."

The orc adjusted the cloak around her: "Wait inside for a moment—I’ll light the fire pit."

Xiu Yan stood near the mountain cave, his figure blocking the cold wind behind him while protecting his small female companion by positioning her in front.

Ji Nuan always knew how well Xiu Yan treated her, so she obediently nodded: "Let Awa go with you—bring more firewood over. It might take some time."

The orc nodded, his deep eyes fixed on her: "Go inside quickly."

Ji Nuan finally turned and headed toward the innermost part of the cave.

The surrounding orcs stood there dumbfounded. Although they were eager for treatment and hadn’t eaten lunch, somehow, they now felt an odd sense of fullness.

"Shaman Ji Nuan and her companion have such a great bond," Tuya remarked, her gaze sparkling as she admired Ji Nuan, filled with the yearning and anticipation of a young female.

Ji Nuan glanced at Norz beside her: "Haven’t you also found an orc who’s good to you?"
