Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World

Chapter 1210 - 1209: Take Them All Back

The fact that these Desert Wolves dare to attack the Elks here means that the number of Desert Wolves definitely isn’t less than that of the Elks.

Thinking of this, Hasa’s face darkened further. They only wanted to catch some prey to bring back; why does it have to be so hard?

"Clan Leader, what should we do now?"

"How about we just charge forward, slaughter all these Desert Wolves and Elks, and bring them back as food?"

"The Elks are manageable; our tribesmen can handle them. But with those Desert Wolves added to the mix, are you suggesting we serve ourselves up as their food instead?"

"Enough, shut up!" Frustrated by the argument, Hasa turned back and barked a reprimand. The Orcs immediately quieted down.

"Go send word to your captain, tell them to retreat for now and not proceed further." Hasa’s eyes darted about as if he’d thought of a good idea; he turned to the Orc next to him and gave the order.

The Orc frowned but said nothing in the end, taking a few others with him to deliver the message.

Before long, the Hunting Squads that had just left all gathered back again.

"Clan Leader, didn’t you say there were only Elks here? Why are so many Desert Wolves suddenly appearing?" Harvey’s face was scrunched up in confusion.

Hasa shot him a glance and said, "These Desert Wolves likely share the same objective as us. These Elks must’ve already caught their attention, waiting for the sandstorm to clear before hunting them."

Upon hearing this, the Orcs exchanged worried glances. This possibility seemed alarmingly plausible.

"We can’t stay here. We must retreat to a safer location. If these Desert Wolves catch our scent, it’ll be trouble." Hasa’s expression was grave, and the Orcs immediately grew tense.

"Let’s go, while..." Hasa gestured, preparing to lead the tribesmen to retreat, but his expression suddenly changed, and the surrounding Orcs stiffened instantly.

In the snowy ground toward the small oasis, a group of Desert Wolves was sprinting toward their location, howling as they ran.

"We’ve been discovered." Hasa’s face hardened. "Prepare for battle."

Though the Orcs, seasoned from countless hunts, were somewhat surprised at being discovered by the Desert Wolves, they still readied themselves for combat upon hearing the Clan Leader’s orders, bracing for the imminent clash.

Casa, Harry, and Norz stood together, maintaining the same fighting formation from their last skirmish against Desert Wolves.

Harry and Norz fought together, while Casa took on individual battles nearby.

These Desert Wolves posed no real threat to the fifth-level Orcs.

Harry glanced enviously at the layer of Protective Armor that gradually covered Casa’s body. Combined with the Pangolin Orc’s formidable defense, Casa was undoubtedly the safest one in this hunt.

He and Norz would have to focus on keeping their lives intact.

"Awooo~" "Awoo~~"

The wolf pack had already collided with the Hunting Team, and the frontmost Orcs had begun fighting. Harry and his group were also being hit by Desert Wolves.

"Clan Leader, the Elks are coming out too!" shouted an Orc fighting in front. He turned his head to see a group of Elks charging out from the small oasis.

To their surprise, these were the very same Elks they’d initially planned to hunt.

Those creatures must have been forced out by the remaining Desert Wolves inside. What had started as a carefully planned hunt was now devolving into complete chaos.
