Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World

Chapter 1188 - 1187: Effort

The young Orc laughed proudly, his expression full of confidence.

Harry was taken aback when he heard there were more than forty Elk. After all, they hadn’t figured out what kind of beast this Elk truly was.

"Are Elk very large?"

The Orc nodded heavily, then pointed to the corpse of an Elk placed on a rock by the lakeside: "That was food given to our Tribe by Shaman Ji Nuan. Look, that’s an Elk."

Harry and the other Orcs turned their gaze toward it. It was a beast roughly the same size as the Desert Wolves they had hunted before.

It seemed Shaman Ji Nuan and her group had made quite an impressive haul.

Turning to the tribesmen behind him, Harry said, "Shaman Ji Nuan and her group have collected plenty of food. We need to step up our effort."

Casa and Norz exchanged a glance: "The day is still young. We’ll head out again later and try to hunt more."

Harry nodded: "Leave the task of processing the prey to me and Tuya."

Suddenly entrusted with such an important duty, Tuya felt a heavy weight settle on her shoulders. She solemnly addressed the group: "Alright, I’ll do my best to help."

Though she didn’t have sharp claws capable of tearing apart Beast Skin, she could help with cleaning and transporting the prey.

...

"Who are you?" Ji Nuan looked at the two Orcs standing outside her cave with some surprise. Judging by their complexion, they must be from a tribe in this oasis, but she didn’t recognize them at all.

The burly Orc bowed deeply to Ji Nuan, his voice filled with gratitude: "Shaman, thank you for your generosity and for forgiving my offense. This is the beast I hunted today, and I hope you will accept it."

Generosity? Offense?

Ji Nuan seemed to have connected the dots. Narrowing her eyes, she scrutinized the tall Orc before her: "You’re the Orc Brother Xiu Yan injured outside our Tribe the other day?"

The Orc nodded, his expression full of guilt: "Yes, it’s me."

Seeing the look on his face, Ji Nuan waved casually: "I’ve already forgotten about that incident, so don’t dwell on it. Go back and focus on your hunting."

After bowing to Ji Nuan again, the Orc helped a limping, frail Orc beside him and walked toward a cave near Ji Nuan’s group.

Ji Nuan stared at them in surprise: "You live in the cave next to ours?"

Awa nodded: "Yes, Shaman. My name is Awa, and this is my brother, Ada. I go hunting every day. If there’s anything you need, you can ask my brother for help—he’s a third-level evolved Orc."

As his younger brother mentioned him, the Orc’s face flushed red. But, recalling his crippled leg, his expression darkened again.

Struggling to stand properly, he stammered and offered Ji Nuan a difficult bow: "Although I can’t walk far, if there’s anything I can do, Shaman, feel free to ask."

Orcs like this were not unfamiliar to Ji Nuan; she had seen plenty, even in her own Tribe.

Back in the day, before the Tribe had a way to heal skeletal injuries, many Orcs ended up like this.

But now, such injuries weren’t considered severe in the Watson Tribe.

Ji Nuan’s eyes lit up as an idea struck her: "As it happens, I do have something I need your help with."

Ada didn’t expect the Shaman to actually find use for someone as disabled as him. He froze in disbelief for a moment.

"Recently, when we go out hunting, I hope you can help keep an eye on things—specifically, organizing the firewood brought by smaller tribes and arranging food meant for the Twin Peaks Beasts."
