Chapter 1085 - 1084: Too Much of a Bargain
The few Aquatic Orcs moved quickly, since they were just ordinary Shell Beasts and Sea Beasts, they exchanged only five pearl beads.
Like the Mountain Tribe Orcs, the Aquatic Orcs returned to the stall with some trepidation, and handed over the five pearl beads to Shansen: "These are the 5 beads we just bartered, can we exchange them for that piece of Beast Skin?"
Shansen didn’t care whether it was a good deal or not, he simply nodded and took the beads from the Orc’s hand, and handed over the Beast Skin to the Aquatic Orcs.
The Aquatic Orcs were overjoyed to receive the precious Beast Skin, and after thanking them, they excitedly ran back to their own Tribe.
Simply by trading a basket of not-so-precious sea goods for such a large piece of Beast Skin was an incredible bargain, their Clan Leader would surely praise them.
The Orcs of Watson Tribe, after completing their trade, were about to take a look at the Mountain Tribe’s stall when they looked up and saw Shansen and two other Orcs already standing in front of their own stall.
A smile filled his face: "So, did you make the exchange?"
Shansen nodded, opening his palm to reveal five round beads: "Exchanged for five beads."
The Orcs of the Watson Tribe stared at Shansen for a moment before looking at him with a wry smile: "Really, that Beast Skin was so large and so pristine. It’s clearly from a very powerful wild animal, Beast Skin of that quality could at least be exchanged for ten beads."
Shansen felt awkward; he didn’t know that.
He sighed helplessly: "There’s nothing I can do, I’ve already traded it away, so I can’t ask for it back."
The Orcs of the Watson Tribe nodded: "That’s true."
Then, as if thinking of something, they looked at Shansen with a serious expression: "Your Beast Skin traded for such a low price, those Aquatic Tribe Orcs might come back with more acquaintances to trade.
When that happens, just say that it was half-off for the first Orc who traded, and there will be no such discount for the others."
Feeling that the Orcs were truly considerate, Shansen couldn’t help but blush a little.
He was in a hurry to trade just because he wanted to try if the beads could be used to barter for goods at Watson Tribe’s stall, not realizing others were being so considerate for their sake.
He felt truly ashamed.
The Orcs of the Watson Tribe thought Shansen was lamenting the loss of the good Beast Skin, and laughed as they patted him on the shoulder: "Come come, since you’re here, take a look at my stall, anything you want can be traded for."
Upon hearing that, Shansen laughed heartily and started looking at the stall in front of him.
"What is this?" He pointed at something that looked like a strip of meat, looking puzzledly at the Orc behind the stall.
The Orc chuckled, looking quite proud: "You’ve really got an eye, this here is the most popular food in our Watson Tribe, it’s salted meat."
"Is this also meat?" Shansen reached out and poked the somewhat stiff strip of meat.
The Watson Tribe Orc chuckled: "Of course, this salted meat is quite pricey, because it can be preserved for a very long time. Just like this piece, if you hang it in a ventilated place when you get back to the Tribe, it can remain unspoiled until the cold season ends."
Boom~
Not only was Shansen amazed, but the other Tribe Orcs who had followed to watch were also stirred up.
Could this meat called salted meat really be preserved for so long?
