Chapter 1055 - 1054: Picked Over
After speaking, he gave Otto a challenging look, then turned and commanded the yellow-haired Orc behind him: "Go pick a fruit for me."
The yellow-haired Orc was also one of Tuya’s potential mates, fretting over how to please her and win her affection. How could he let such a great opportunity pass by?
He didn’t take this fiery red orchard seriously. It’s just a bunch of trees, could they really grow legs and attack him as Tuya said?
Not every tree is a Divine Wood Tree person.
The Orc happily accepted Tuya’s request, casting a smug glance at the blue-haired Orc who stood there with his gaze lowered before he left.
To him, the appearance of the blue-haired Orc at this moment signified the disappointment of not being sent to pick the fruits by Tuya.
Although Otto was reserved and aloof, he was not someone to be pushed around.
He barely had any interactions with Tuya in daily life, but ever since they came out, this female had always targeted him.
So even though he sensed danger in this orchard, he just indifferently watched the Orc stride towards the orchard without saying a word.
Harry’s eyes still held a faint smile as he watched the Orc walk into the fiery red orchard without any guard up.
He casually walked around in the orchard, encountering no danger.
"Tuya, how many fruits do you want?"
Seeing the Orc stroll in the woods without any risk, Tuya mockingly glanced at Otto.
"Four."
Yes, four—that would be for everyone but Otto.
The Orc was unhappy that Tuya had included the blue-haired Orc, but still begrudgingly stretched out his hand to pick four fruits to please the little female.
At worst, he’d give the smallest fruit to the blue-haired Orc.
But the moment his hand touched the fiery red tree leaves, something terrible happened. The Orc felt as if his hand was scorched by Fire Seed, an unbearable burning sensation spreading from his fingertips where he touched the leaves.
"Ahhhh!!! My hand!!!" He screamed in agony.
As his body’s heat rose, he cried out and started stripping off his Beast Skin.
But the act of undressing did not cool him down; instead, it felt as if his body was ablaze.
Unable to bear it any longer, the Orc started rolling on the ground, trying to use the dampness to alleviate the searing heat inside his body.
But he didn’t realize how terrifying he looked at the moment; normally fairer-skinned than other Orcs, his body was now a fiery red, the color deepening as time went on.
Otto’s pupils shrank; the Orc’s hair had begun to curl.
The Orc’s mouth, from which he was howling, emitted puffs of white steam; his eyes were blood red.
His reddened arms reached towards Tuya as he howled and scratched.
Hoping for his future mate to save him, but the blue-haired Orc held Tuya behind him, retreating a long distance.
Despair filled the Orc’s eyes, and finally, his lips curled into a mocking arc, letting the heat within his body spread uncontrollably.
Before long, the Orc’s body darkened as if scorched by invisible flames, and the light vanished from his eyes.
"He’s dead." A deep, hoarse voice suddenly broke the silence.
