Chapter 1011 - 1010: Everyone Is a Priest
After shoving the two youngsters towards the sea island, the two Lord Priests slyly slipped away to a safe area in an instant.
Then they stared at the edge of the sea island seriously, as if they were deeply concerned.
What Ji Nuan saw left her speechless.
"Shaman." The voice of an orc came from the side; Ji Nuan turned to look.
The injured orc of the Watson Tribe had come down and was helped over to Ji Nuan by another orc.
Another orc brought over the small basket that Ji Nuan used for her healing tools from the cave.
She gestured for the orc to sit on a beast skin mat that had been laid out while Xiu Yan held a torch beside her.
The orc’s leg had been lashed by the tail of a Ferocious Crocodile, leaving the flesh bloody and mangled.
Who knew what the crocodile’s tail was made of; it had scalped a piece of flesh from his leg, and the wound looked especially frightful.
The place where the tendons connected was swollen and sported a ghastly bruise.
The orc was hurting so much that his face had turned pale. Ji Nuan took out a small bottle and tilted its mouth to pour a light green powder onto his injured leg.
Both the Whale Priest and the Python Priest were watching a land beastmOrcen shaman treat a wound for the first time; they were very curious about the healing methods.
They instantly diverted their attention from the battle at the edge of the island. With Ya Li there, nothing serious would happen to the two youngsters.
They drew closer to Ji Nuan and widened their eyes to observe.
Seeing Ji Nuan pour the pale green powder onto the orc’s wound, the pained expression on the orc’s face slowly disappeared.
He even let out a comfortable sigh.
The two Lord Priests immediately shone with fascination looking at the delicate little porcelain bottle.
But they did not interrupt Ji Nuan’s treatment; after all, they were all priests, just with different titles.
They also didn’t like to be disturbed while ministering to someone.
However, the sequence of actions that followed really opened their eyes.
Watching as Ji Nuan felt and tweaked the broken bone in the orc’s leg, and after applying some dark substance, she fixed the injured leg with a few straight wooden boards.
"All right, take him back to rest. You two stay in the cave to protect him and be careful of sea beasts sneaking onto the island."
Ji Nuan wiped away sweat and instructed the two orcs who had helped.
It wasn’t until the three orcs had walked away that the two Lord Priests came back to their senses.
"Shaman Ji Nuan, don’t your land beastmOrcen need to drink bitter water when they are treated?"
The Whale Priest, driven by curiosity, moved closer; the orcs of the Aquatic Tribe would drink bitter water mixed by the priest when they were sick or injured.
External injuries would also be treated with some medicine powder, but that was merely auxiliary.
After all, for beings like orcs, as long as their lives were saved, their wounds would heal on their own.
But what they saw in Ji Nuan’s treatment was the use of herbal pastes all the way through, with no bitter water involved.
Ji Nuan took the towel handed over by Xiu Yan and wiped off the medicinal clay that had just stained her hands.
"Of course not, I have prepared pills ready to be taken later, just give him one when we get back, no need for bitter water.
Besides, it’s not convenient to start a fire and brew bitter water here."
Pills? What’s that?
The Whale Priest looked at the Python Priest quizzically. Do you know?
The Python Priest rolled his eyes, obviously. We’re both from the Aquatic Tribe, if you don’t know, how could I possibly know?
Could it be some kind of miraculous herb with great healing effects?
