Chapter 844 - 843: It’s Either Her Death or Mine
Dubi sat quietly in the cave, holding an old piece of beast skin, his dark eyes seeming as if they could drip water.
Dubi had been sitting there all night, not speaking, not sleeping, just sitting sullenly.
He hadn’t eaten lunch either, and a piece of meat that Otto had brought back was still at the entrance of the cave.
After a while, just when Otto thought that Dubi was going to continue sitting, a large hand reached out from the cave and took the meat at the entrance.
Soon after, the sounds of chewing could be heard.
The footsteps of ’tap tap’ followed, Otto stood up and looked toward the entrance of the cave to see Dubi, looking somewhat haggard, walking out.
His voice was low and hoarse, "You go back, don’t follow me."
"Dubi... you!" Otto saw the determination in his good friend’s eyes, he knew what Dubi was about to do, and his heart suddenly felt as if countless gazelles were stampeding through, utterly chaotic.
Dubi did not turn back to look at him, nor did he stop walking, only a faint voice floated forward, "Today I must avenge Chang Zao and the cub, it’s either I kill Ola, or she kills me."
Otto stood there, stunned, his thoughts in disarray.
Ola’s cave was at the deepest part of the tribe, much larger compared to the other tribe members’ caves.
Moreover, this was a naturally formed cave.
Outside the cave, there were two orcs standing guard, and as they saw Dubi approaching, a strange smile appeared on their faces.
"Dubi, the Clan Leader was looking for you yesterday, where did you go?"
The orc stopped in his tracks, his mouth stiffly twitching, "I went to Otto’s place yesterday, I just got back to the tribe, heard from the guard that the Clan Leader was looking for me, and came straight here."
The two orcs exchanged glances, a hint of understanding flashed through their eyes.
No wonder this guy is so calm, it’s because he hasn’t returned home yet, unaware that his mate and cub were already dead.
The orc waved his hand, "Go in, go in, the Clan Leader has been looking for you for a long time."
Dubi nodded and headed into the cave, as he passed by the two orcs, a hint of darkness flickered in the depths of his eyes, gone in an instant.
He had not yet confronted Ola, the damned female; he could not reveal his purpose.
Laughter and talking echoed from inside the cave, and Dubi could hear it all too clearly.
Aside from the familiar voice of Ola, there was also a strange female voice.
It must be that female named Namila.
"Clan Leader." The orc’s voice, slightly hoarse, resonated in the cave.
Ola, being fed meat by her mate, lifted her head to look at the orc standing below, her gaze somewhat complex.
"When did you come back?"
Dubi’s response was the same as it had been outside: "I’ve just come back, I heard you were looking for me, so I came straight here."
Ola breathed a sigh of relief unwittingly.
Because of what Namila had said yesterday, in a fit of anger, she had the tribe members kill Dubi’s mate and cub.
Now, she was honestly a bit afraid of the troubles this orc might bring her.
She pointed to a beast skin pad on the side, "Sit down, I just wanted to ask about the situation with the Watson Tribe, did you get the formula for the bricks?"
Dubi walked to a beast skin pad very close to Namila, but he did not sit down; instead, he shook his head, "No, the orcs of the Watson Tribe simply won’t let us touch those things, they only let us go during construction."
