Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World

Chapter 826 - 825: The Legendary Watson Tribe

Dubi threw away the chunk of meat in his hand and hugged his mate. "You all stay home. I’m going out hunting, just grabbing a few prey and I’ll be right back."

The female’s eyes brightened and she unconsciously swallowed, nodding eagerly. "Mmm, we’ll wait for you at home. Come back quickly."

Dubi smiled, nodded, and turned to dash out of the cave.

"Otto! Otto! Are you there?" An Orc’s voice, filled with surprise, sounded outside the cave. Otto, who had been lying in his nesting grasses, walked out upon hearing it.

Seeing the joyful face of the Orc, Otto expressed his astonishment, "What’s the matter? Is there some good news? You seem so happy."

The Orc huffed for breath twice. "Dubi has come back, and I was on guard when he returned. Do you want to go back and see him?"

Otto’s face, upon hearing this, filled with joy and excitement. "He actually came back? Is he all right?"

The Orc shook his head. "He’s not hurt; don’t worry. In fact, he looks even healthier than before he left."

Otto burst out laughing. "The Watson Tribe is a very powerful and wealthy tribe. Every time I go to meet Dubi, the smell of their tribe’s food makes my stomach growl."

The Orc’s eyes gleamed with anticipation. "I really want to go, too."

Otto tapped the Orc’s head. "You better not think about it. Dubi, being a first-level evolved Orc, barely made it back. Do you think you could go and even keep a finger bone?"

The Orc pouted and gave Otto a slightly gloomy look. "I’m just saying."

Thinking of what was to come, Otto’s face lost its smile as he looked at the Orc. "I’m now exiled here by the Clan Leader. I can’t just go back to the tribe on my own. Go back and tell Dubi to come visit me."

The Orc nodded. "Don’t worry, I understand. When should it be?"

"I’m not going out today. If he doesn’t have time today, tomorrow will do, but it has to be after lunch; I have to go hunting."

The Orc couldn’t stay longer, and with that, he ran towards the tribe.

The day was still bright, and he could catch some small prey to add a meal for his family.

Of course, that was as long as he went quietly and returned quietly, lest the Clan Leader’s minions find out and confiscate the catch.

After leaving the tribe, Dubi didn’t go far but chose a secluded spot. Among the tall Chang Zao grasses, he caught some Gagabeasts and picked lots of Gagabeast eggs.

He gathered lots of dry firewood and then expertly cleaned the Gagabeasts, skin and fur included. After starting a fire by friction, he set up the fire and skewered several Gagabeasts on a stout stick over the flames.

Expertly turning the prey in his hands, the edge of the fire was bordered with a circle of gray-white Gagabeast eggs, the size of an Orc’s palm.

By the time Dubi returned home with the cooked food, he found a very familiar Orc already in his cave.

"Dubi, you’ve finally come back." It was the guard Orc from the tribe’s entrance today.

Somewhat surprised, Dubi looked at him. "Did you swap with the next batch of guard Orcs?"

The Orc stood up and nodded. "Yes, that’s right. Otto has been exiled; he can’t come back to the tribe. If you have time, go see him, the sooner the better."
