"The shaman’s companion? Which shaman, though?" The young female asked her companion.

The companion rolled her eyes, "Your mind is always filled with herbs! Of course it’s Shaman Ji Nuan! Or do you think it could be Grandma Shaman?"

That comment struck like lightning, painting a picture in the villagers’ minds of a frail, toothless, wrinkled Grandma Shaman getting together with Xiu Yan.

A scene too marvelous they dared not imagine.

"Do I look like a perverted old woman to you? Going for a beastman that’s hundreds of years younger?" An old voice scolded from behind as Grandma Shaman looked disdainfully at the two young females at the door.

"Hehe~" The two girls chuckled nervously, scurrying over to assist the staggering old woman into the yard, "We didn’t mean any harm. She asked such a stupid question, so I had to reply like that. We didn’t mean to offend you, please forgive us."

Grandma Shaman prodded the girl’s forehead irritably, "You’re not that bright yourself."

On another note, Ya Li who had just returned home after scuffling with beasts, was shocked to find his pristine yard turned into a giant battle-strewn Humming Beast Nest, with fruit pits and weeds everywhere, some even growing mold. Had Ying Yan, the slacker, forgotten his duty to maintain the garden?

Enough to make a beast rage!

Completely fuming, he turned around to find a young female welling up with tears, pouting her lips.

The agile orc jumped back, maintaining a distance, his brows knitted in fury, "Who are you? And my house...huh?"

Before he could finish his sentence, his nostrils caught a familiar scent.

Petting the girl’s head, she crept closer, looking even more wronged, her teary eyes turning into pouches.

Once she got closer, the increasingly familiar scent nestled in his nostrils. The orc’s eyes widened in surprise, as he danced around the seemingly troubled girl in joy, "Meow, meow, you’ve successfully transformed, haha, you look great."

"You just yelled at me for throwing away fruit pits?" whined the girl.

Immediately, Ya Li bowed in apology, "Did I? No, I was complimenting you. My yard never had any trash, so without you throwing it away, I would never have known of its shortcomings. I promise to do better."

The tears faded, "Really?"

The beastman nodded eagerly, "Really, look at my sincere eyes."

Meow actually stared at Ya Li’s eyes for a while, then disdainfully commented, "Didn’t see a sincere gaze, just some eye boogers."

That was embarrassing. Such a dent on his macho beast image!

He immediately turned away, hastily wiping off the corner of his eye. He then turned back, squatting to face Meow, "You must have seen wrong. Why would I have something as image-damaging as that! Look again."

Naïve Meow fell once again for the cunning snake’s trap, doubting herself as she looked at his pitiful face, "I’m sorry, Meow made a mistake."

Ya Li, though humiliated, patted the girl’s head magnanimously, "That’s okay, I’m a generous beast, don’t worry about it."
