Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World

Chapter 673 - 672: Saving the Beast_1

Several orcs were skinning their freshly caught prey. They deftly and unceremoniously skinned and decapitated a plump Gagabeast, leaving behind only a pale, pudgy body for the orcs to feast on.

The shaman received a Gagabeast handed over by the orcs, looking at an orc sitting off to the side, looking somewhat dispirited. "Bowman, eat some food."

Bowman shook his head, "You eat, I can’t swallow any."

The shaman sighed, "This is the Land of Death, not the forest where we live. Here, death is commonplace; survival is the difficult part. We were prepared for possible death the moment we entered the Land of Death. Don’t blame yourself for the death of the tribespeople."

Bowman’s eyes were bloodshot, his eyes filled with veins, "How can I not blame myself? If I hadn’t pushed to speed up our progress, those tribespeople wouldn’t have died. It’s all my fault."

The shaman, seeing him in this state, clenched his teeth and slapped him across the face, "What use is self-blame now? Look behind you, there are still so many tribespeople waiting for you to lead them out. If you’re like this, what will become of them?"

Bowman was taken aback, then wiped away the moisture from his eyes. His jaw clenched, "Yes, I will lead our people out."

"Clan Leader, look, we...Ah!" A shriek interrupted, causing the orcs’ hearts to tighten. They were too familiar with such shrieks; every tribesperson who fell into a mud pit let out a similar outcry.

"What’s happening?!" Bowman roared low, running towards the direction of the sound.

The shaman and the orcs swiftly followed him.

In the mud river just seen by Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan, two orcs were struggling desperately, crying for help while sinking quickly into the mud river.

"Stop moving. The more you struggle, the quicker you’ll sink." A gentle female voice came from above.

Upon hearing this, the desperation to survive made the two orcs in the mud river stop struggling instantly, and the speed at which they were sinking noticeably slowed.

Xiu Yan gently descended, with the very cooperative Ji Nuan lying on his back.

Just as Xiu Yan was about to pull the two orcs up, the mournful Ji Nuan gently patted his shoulder, "Brother Xiu Yan, pull them up slowly."

Xiu Yan nodded, grabbed the hands of the two orcs, and slowly pulled them up, placing them safely on the ground.

Looking at the line of blackened orcs, Ji Nuan was puzzled, "What are you guys doing here? Weren’t you supposed to be at the tribe?"

Bowman stepped forward, bowing to Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan, "Shaman Ji Nuan, Kun, thank you for saving my people, thank you."

The orc’s voice caught, and Ji Nuan was a bit embarrassed. The difference between this Bowman and his father Bertel was indeed significant.

Ji Nuan, a bit embarrassed, waved his hand, "No need, we were just passing by. But how are you here?"

Bowman sighed bitterly, "Our initial plan was to return directly to the tribe, but along the way, we noticed Nakula had sent orcs to follow us and leave markers. The Nacha Tribe has two evolved orcs; we definitely couldn’t have escaped, so we had to enter the Land of Death."

Ji Nuan frowned, "Does Nakula want your Beast God Fruit?"

Bowman shook his head, "I don’t know exactly what they’re after."
