Chapter 623 - 622, Green_1
When the sound entered Namila’s ears, her body involuntarily shook from the pleasant tingling sensation it caused. She unconsciously moved forward a step, her eyes glowing as she gazed towards the direction of the sound.
The sound of casual footsteps grew louder. Ya Li, clad in the Guard Team’s uniform, emerged from behind a tent. The first thing that captured Namila’s and Nakula’s attention was his soft, enticing face, a sight so beautiful that it would not be an overstatement to describe it so.
Meng Zhuo was indifferent to Ya Li’s physical appearance, knowing that he too was a powerful evolved orc.
He gestured casually towards Namila and Nakula: "These two are the Clan Leader Nakula and his daughter Namila from the Nacha Tribe. They are here to see Elder Mu Qing. Is he around?"
Ya Li nodded: "He’s in there, tidying up his tent."
"You actually have a Divine Wood Tree elder tidy up his own tent!" exclaimed Namila, her voice lacking its usual raspiness, instead sounding somewhat gentle.
Ya Li finally turned to look at her. Namila’s heart constricted as she felt his captivating eyes upon her, making it difficult for her to breathe.
However, Ya Li’s gaze only lingered on her for a moment before he turned his attention back to Chief Meng Zhuo: "I will send an orc in to call for him. You can wait here in the meantime."
With that said, he indicated a tent on the outskirts, its entrance unobstructed by any beast skin.
Familiar with such matters, Chief Meng Zhuo, along with Nakula and Namila, headed towards the indicated tent: "Hurry up, I still need to tidy up my own tent. These few days have been taxing on both man and beast."
A twitch appeared on Ya Li’s lips: "It’s not as though I pleaded with you to come."
Chief Meng Zhuo rolled his eyes. This young man really had no respect for him, a chief of a large tribe.
Watching Ya Li turn away, a trace of curiosity appeared in Nakula’s eyes, while Namila craned her neck to watch his receding figure, hoping for a longer glance.
"Meng Zhuo, that orc doesn’t seem to have much respect for the chief of a large tribe like yourself," remarked Nakula. What he truly wanted to say, however, was that the orc didn’t show any respect for him, completely indifferent to both him and Namila, which greatly displeased him.
Meng Zhuo knew what Nakula was thinking and his lips curled into a strange smile: "I dare not ask him to show me any formalities, for he is none other than the captain of Shaman Ji Nuan’s Guard Team."
Nakula frowned: "He may be Captain of the Shaman’s Guard Team, but that doesn’t make him a Shaman."
Exchanging a meaningful glance with Nakula, Meng Zhuo responded: "Well, that depends on whose Guard Team Captain he is."
His words ignited even more curiosity in Nakula and Namila about the legendary Shaman Ji Nuan: "I wonder if we’ll get a chance to meet the accomplished Shaman Ji Nuan."
Meng Zhuo shrugged with a smile: "I’m not sure about that, but we’ll be able to find out tomorrow. Shaman Ji Nuan is a very kind and benevolent shaman."
Ambition gleamed in Namila’s eyes and a shy smile appeared on her face: "If Shaman Ji Nuan’s Healing Technique is so powerful, I wonder if I would be lucky enough to learn some of it."
"You’re better off staying by your father’s side," a cold voice interrupted Namila’s speculation.
When they turned to look, a middle-aged Divine Wood Tree man with white hair and white eyebrows had walked in.
Meng Zhuo rose and spread an animal skin on the innermost part of the tent: "Elder Mu Qing, please have a seat."
